Sorry for delay in responding @Francis Mooney, previously I had the issue with McTominay, Rashford and a few others.  Admittedly I have continued playing the save and it seems to be mostly okay in the player profile happiness screen.  Although that issue currently appears to be affecting a newgen player called Ciaran Morris, and real player Shola Shoretire - have attached photos.

I notice it more in the quick chat options after games where you praise the player performance in a previous match, have had this with Martial (image attached).

It comes and goes, one minute all will be fine, then no relationship, then it's back to normal. For example with Martial, I just praised his last game - quick chat showed good relationship, then without clicking continue the next quick chat will show no relationship.

Have reset cache as requested with no effect.

Seems that it only temporarily fixed it, have started the game today and issue has resurfaced. Will upload game file.

I have the same problem, the game lists the player as having no relationship with me, but then I am amongst their favoured personnel. Sometimes but will show correctly, but then changes to no relationship again.

Also says I rarely communicate with my players, despite interacting with them regularly like the OP.
