To be honest the 'staff' side of things is kept somewhat intentionally simple as I don't want people to be confused by having dozens of potential inputs to things.

No they're a bug - they do have an underlying basis (if I remember right its reputation), but its only used for AI decision making regarding who to hire rather than anything which affects their functionality.
If that still displaying in the latest version of the game incidentally?

In all honesty it was a bug that was displayed (and has no effect).

Youth teams are optimal for youth players who haven't matured enough to handle the pressure of senior team football, however if they can then playing with the senior teams will allow them to develop faster.
(so if you promote them early then its a bit of a gamble - although your coaches might advise you and offer some help)

If you're playing in the lower leagues then I'd suggest keeping tactics relatively simple and going with high physical stat players, just run the opposition into the floor and hit them with set-pieces.

Yes the update should rectify this issue and allow you to continue this save - if it doesn't then please message me and let me know and I'll look into it personally.

This update will be primarily stability related fixes for people who are having issues - gameplay tweaks (in the main) will come in a later update.
(and so long as your tactic is 'sensible' you shouldn't be overly adversely affected by match tweaks ...)

When you are in the 'start menu' (with the 'New Game' option) go into settings and you can switch to the EME, then start a new game and you'll find its using that option.

Go into the settings option from the games start page (before you load a save game) and go to the 'User Interface' section - there is an option 'HD Mode' that will enable the side menu on a small screen device such as the iPhone6.
(when you first started the game for the first time you should have had an option to choose the skin style and opted not to use this btw)

Football Manager Mobile doesn't support controller input because it was designed for use as a touchscreen game.

Tweaking this would be much appreciated because a lot of us are relying on our IF's.I'm testing a tweak where they'll stay a little narrowed when you have the ball and then make runs more frequently .. bear with me, I will admit that the aim is NOT to make them over-powered so if your tactic was over-reliant on them in the last few versions you might never be happy with the tweaks

I'm starting the match with the Standard one as I always do. Let's say I change to Attacking one in the second half and the match finishes with me using the Attacking one. Upon returning to the main screen (my news items) and then selecting the Tactics - Formation tab, I will see that my DR and DL have kep their Attacking (tactic) roles (which is Wing Back), instead of just returning to the Standard tactic that I have selected before clicking Go To Match.Ok I'll see if I can reproduce that - that isn't something I've heard of happening before.

One hot-fix so far which addressed a couple of issues - next one will still be considered a hot-fix and is addressing mainly crashes and such, a few weeks after that we'll do the first 'proper' update which will include more tweaks and gameplay fixes as well as any remaining stability fixes.

I know some players like them but for me personally it does ruin the immersion a little bit and I much prefer the blank silhouettes. It might be partially an OCD thing but it can stop me playing more than a couple of seasons because I find it so distracting sorry!

Even I set him the ONLY taker of freekick in front of the box, he only took once after 5 matches.
I don't know what the logic behind it is. I think GK freekick score is an interested challenge in game.
Is it possible to adjust to let GK got more chance to take the freekick?
I can look at it, but as in real-life taking a free-kick comes with risks so it is very unlikely a goalkeeper would always take them? (ie. taking them when he's fairly confident that he'll shoot and it'll be fine versus always taking them) ... bear with me on this, for rather obvious reasons (ie. potentially messing up the game
) .. this isn't something I'll rush.

Thanks for uploading the save as soon as we get it we'll try and ascertain what is going on and get it fixed (its purely a display issue as you're already aware).

In the Premiership I've used 3 at the back and then wingbacks in DML/R (sometimes inverted wingbacks depending on players) positions, two central midfielders (sometimes two DMC's if I'm outclassed) and two inside forwards ahead of them and a single forward. This 5-2-2-1 seems to be fairly reliable, for the central midfielders I have one Advanced Playmaker and one Ball-Winner, my sole striker is normally a Target Man and his job is to score (when possible) or to lay it off to players who come up in support ...
As far as mentality goes I normally use balanced or counter attacking - although now and again if I'm feeling confident I'll play attacking.Your milage may vary as my Eastbourne team probably isn't the same as your side.
