  1. @Ben Allingham, another kind of wrongly given offside just happened; the player who scores clearly isn't in an offside position and VAR calls offside anyways: Ajax 3-0 PEC Zwolle - Match Highlights.ogv
  2. I believe I have yet to see a player get cautioned for this offence, even though it happens fairly often. I have no pkm or specific situation to share, but will provide in a day or two if need be.
  3. Not the first time I encountered this bug, but it happening twice in the same match forced me to act... Both times the player is in an offside position but does not commit an offside offence, as he is neither interferring with play, interferring with an opponent nor gaining an advantage. Therefore both goals should have stood. Ajax 2-0 NAC - Match Highlights.ogv Ajax v NAC.pkm
  4. @Rashidi - you're right, the analyse tool is worthless... Five minutes in-game I saw one blocked cross attempt, one cleared cross from corner and a cross from freekick called offside. Neither of those appeared ind match analysis...
  5. @herne79 - I will do that! @Cadoni - both glad and sorry to hear... @Rashidi, @themadsheep2001, @YasoKuul - I just realised that myself inspecting played matches. My hypothesis is those cross attempts that is blocked instantly by pressing defender doesn't count in the analysis section. In this match I had 88 cross attempts with only 12 completed meaning 76 failed. Looking at the crosses in the analysis section only 33 was intercepted and 1 out of play which leaves 42 crosses unaccounted for. Based on the extended highlights i saw, ~50% being blocked instantly sounds highly probable.
  6. @optimusprimal82 - okay, let's hope the new patch does good. Thanks for the feedback! @herne79 - I guess you're right, that making my players stay central makes it hard for the players to play in those areas, as the ME doesn't allow the players to beat an opponent or play tiki-taka in compact areas in same degree as irl. Also the fact that the players are rather impatient makes it hard to play this way. You're right about the crossing stat, but I have games with ~90 crosses (including ~20 corners) with a tactic supposed to minimise crossing. I'm not sure that is even possible for a team attempting to create their chances on crossing.
  7. @s0ni42, @Clifton14, @Baodan - you might be right, but I fail to see why that should be the case as the players are just directly ignoring the tactics. Looking at other posts in the community, it seems much of it is general issues with the ME. @optimusprimal82 - after reading the threads you've linked, it seems it is this year's ME that lacks basic football intuition. I have a feeling there is enough people giving feedback, and giving further would do more harm than good, but maybe that is not the case? Would you recomend playing the beta? Normally betas suffer from even more bugs and crashes making the experience even worse. @gunner86, @Dalglish - irl a higher pressing would require a more man-orinted marking as far as I am concerned. I want my players to be close enough to press the player as soon as he receives the ball. However they do zonal marking instead, e.g. wingbacks holding hands with centerbacks leaving the opposing wings with an enormous amount of space. Spending most of my time managing two teams irl I may be trying to play FM too much as if it was real. Perhaps I should start experimenting more with the possibilities within FM...
  8. I love playing FM but I lose the interest when it seems some tactical decisions are impossible to affect... I am desperate to know why it is that way and what I can do to change it. Here are two of my most annoying challenges: Many crosses (average of 40-60 per game) I try to focus on keeping the ball central and play short passes. I play a 4-2-3-1 with inside forwards on S/A and wingbacks on support. My settings to minimize crossing are: very narrow, play through the middle, shorter passing, lower tempo and work the ball into the box - furthermore I've experimentet with dribble less/run at defence and be more expressive/disciplined. On individual level every player has been told to cross less often and to cross by the byline. Every player is familiar with the tactics as I've been playing with it for more than a season. Another annoying problem linked with this is most crosses never beat the first defender. Players does an awful high pressure I want my players to lay a high, man-oriented pressure. To achieve this I tell my players to: counter-press, engage (much) higher, keep defensive line high, use offside trap, defend wide, use tighter marking and press extremely urgent. Every individual have been told to mark tighter and press as much as they can. Also I've tried to instruct every opponent to always be marked tight and pressed. And every player is comfortable with it, as they've been playing like this for more than a season. However there are often only two players pressing high up the pitch on the man with the ball, which makes it meaningless. My wingbacks also refuse to mark the opponent wings forcing my inside forwards to do their job. I do not know what I'm doing wrong, and I'm slowly starting to lose interest in the game, as it seems I can't do anything about it.
  9. I went on holiday for a week and found out that I had accepted the boards contract offer while I was away... Probably not a bug, but an annoying situation I do not believe should occur.
  10. My midfielder who is told to "stay back if needed" goes forward on corners leaving opposition attacker completely alone, because the one who is told to "stay back" takes the corner. However, on freekicks the player who is told to "stay back" does so, but now my other player feels he needs to stay back aswell, even though no opponent is staying forward. So instead of having 1-1 or 2-1 scenarios, I have 0-1 and 2-0 scenarios which makes absolutely no sense...
  11. Should be uploaded now as "Mikkel Gregersen - Ajax.fm"
  12. I can't see how the first question can be fair. The reporter refers to 13 points in five matches as a "series of dissapointing results" and my answer posibilities were as if was something like nine points behind with five matches left, considering they included "mathematical possibility" and other elements indicating my possibility of winning the title is almost nonexisting even though I have half a season left. Should I just upload my entire game save to ownCloud?
  13. It seems to me the media have some wierd questions and critique that are out of proportions. Again and again I get questions that make no sense, forcing me to use "no comment"... Here's my latest encounter with the press: - First I recieve this question from a reporter with "great respect" for me: Yes - I'm expected to win the league, but being 5 points behind after 15 matches is no big deal. Not even in a bad form with 13 points from latest 5 matches. My possible answers were "still a mathematical possibility" and other answers that indicated I practically do not have any chance of winning the league any longer... - Fourth question from another reporter with "great respect" for me: This makes no sense as Dolberg only had one chance and one shot i this game after being subbed in, which was a penalty he scored... That, as far as I'm concerned, means there was no "late miss"? And this is just one of the many strange and unexplainable chats I've had with press... Of course the media isn't always fair og ask questions based on rumours and speculations, but this is straight illogical.
  14. I have now uploaded my save to ownCloud named Mikkel Gregersen - Ajax. I hope that was what you asked for? 15. I've played almost half a season since the conversation. I critised him after the highlighted game, in which he had two shots - one of them being a CCC if I remember correctly. But as I said, what I primarily react on is his statement "I'm playing some of my best football at the moment". I don't see the connection between being one of the teams (on paper) best players performing to an average of 6.62 after four won games and playing some of his best football. He is performing under average! It becomes dangerous to critise and praise players if their own expectations isn't nowhere realistic. Player interactions are very important and just a small mistake can lead to unhappiness, therefore player reactions need to be realistic.
