  1. My 'solution' to the issue was to run under wine. Installing another distribution with ancient library support isn't an option. The game really shouldn't be sold as supporting Linux if you can't support one of the biggest distributions around.
  2. Matlock - End of first season We certainly didn't make it easy on ourselves, but we did stay up despite 1/5 relegation odds. A large number of inbound transfers and loans were required due to the dilapidated starting squad. Hoping for less transfers and more squad stability next season.
  3. Haven't had a reply in PMs, still having this issue both on laptop and desktop. I've bought every FM since 08 but wont be buying in future if SI are going to leave me without a game for 3 weeks.
  4. I'm getting the same issue on Arch and I've basically given up after days without reply from SI. Kindof a shame to see the Linux community left out to dry.
  5. No run script, just: LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/home/spectralecho/.steam/steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/":"/home/spectralecho/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Football\ Manager\ 2018/" ~/.steam/bin32/steam-runtime/run.sh ./fm I've also tried running direct from Steam (native and runtime) and without the LD_LIBRARY_PATH directive.

  7. If you (or anyone in the office) could, that'd be awesome. I'm sure I could compile that version of libc++ and just use that via LD_LIBRARY_PATH (I write C++11 code so downgrading my version isn't much of an option).
  8. If it's using my native libc++ it'll be 5.0.1. Doesn't Steam ship a .so? What version do I need?
  9. As expected, didn't work (we had different issues).  LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/home/spectralecho/.steam/steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/" ~/.steam/bin32/steam-runtime/run.sh ./fm ./fm: Symbol `_ZTVN10__cxxabiv119__pointer_type_infoE' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking ./fm: Symbol `_ZTVN10__cxxabiv117__class_type_infoE' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking ./fm: Symbol `_ZTVN10__cxxabiv121__vmi_class_type_infoE' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking ./fm: Symbol `_ZTVN10__cxxabiv120__si_class_type_infoE' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking ./fm: Symbol `_ZTVN10__cxxabiv116__enum_type_infoE' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking ./fm: Symbol `_ZTVN10__cxxabiv120__function_type_infoE' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking [S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; SteamAPI_IsSteamRunning() failed. 10. This is because the version of ffmpeg in Arch is too new. FM is looking for old versions of certain libraries in your /lib directory and failing to find them (and no, symlinking them doesn't work, I tried).
