  1. Never thought about the financial side and good tip. When managing a Spanish club I've always had to arrange friendlies in the breaks you mention as their is no reserve team to help maintain fitness for certain squad players.
  2. Unfamiliar with steam as just got back into the laptop/FM game the past month. When on the steam store it says week long deals with FM18 being one of the games, although no discount shown. Does this mean it will be on sale in the next week?
  3. Think it was FM06 or 07 when I was managing Newcastle. I remember keeping my transfer budget and saving it for later. Then a couple of days before the window shut, the chairman Freddy Sheppard went and bought some Chelsea LB (Bosswinga?) for £16 million and some other player. Spent all the budget he did on players I didn't need/want.
  4. Do games from the first xbox even go BC? Thought it was just the 360 games. Had the one for the 360 but as mentioned above, it was a pain using a pad.
  5. In the same boat and unsure if to buy it or not. Have been playing FM12 for the last month and having a blast. Seems like 18 has a few known issues judging comments on here 25% off may sway me to buy the new one so thanks for heads up.
  6. Thanks a lot Smurf and really appreciate the advice. I just prefer John Lewis for their no nonsense 2 year guarantee policy.
  7. Hi Smurf, Glad I stumbled on this thread as I was about to pull the trigger on the below laptop but now I realise that it may well be underpowered for FM18. It's my first FM since 13 so a bit out the loop. Would prefer to buy from John Lewis and can push the budget to around £650-700 https://m.johnlewis.com/lenovo-ideapad-320-laptop-intel-core-i3-8gb-ram-128gb-ssd-14-/p3288129
