  1. NAPOLI

    Result: 1. season 33/2/3; GF: 78, GA: 14.

    Competitions: Won treble; Serie A, Cup and CL against Juventus;

    Season expectation: 2nd

Transfers: in: Remo Freuler (backup DM); out: Hysaj

Also: after half a season I didn't play with Mertens (put him in U20), as he signed for MU

Tactics: first half of the season I tried numerous tactics; second half of the season I played and really enjoyed Knap's: FM20WULF4132PFDMIWBSPKnapP112ALLCUPSNOLOSSFM20P102ECCC

My tweaks to tactic: positive mentality, high DL, high LOE, unticked get stuck in; also: playing hard away games coutious mentality, preserving the lead or result: SUS

    Lots of clean sheets and results like 1:0, 2:0, 3:0, 3:1, 2:1 ... as I don't like results such as 7:4, 6:5, 5:3 ...

P.S. Knap's 4132 P112 is so excellent that you can litteraly see the corrupted ME in action. This tactic provides so many chances for players.

I reviewed my loses in this season and I actually dominated in 80% of those matches. I had more shots on target, missed penalties, awkward one on ones, woodworks(!) a few red cards as well ...

I don't normally drop DL, as in theory AI will be more attacking and not looking for long balls. However, that would be situational and may require dropping LOE as well. I've not tried all the adjustments at same time, but all are defensive tweaks.

On second thought you are right. I'll keep my DL as it is, as I can still vividly remember opposition's last second goals when I changed DL.

  5. @knap for SUS I use: NFB's, TW to maximum, defensive mentality, regroup, hold shape. I also set up DL to standard to prevent long passes over my defence. Is that ok?

There are also 4 roles which have Tackle harder fixed. When one of my players gets a yellow I usually set "Ease off tackles" but for those 4 roles I change roles as followed: PF to AF as they can have same PI's as PF's, and for DW I simply change them to WM and Ease off tackles. Is that ok?

It was going to be MARGATE this year, but I have had to twice uninstall FM so I will have to run the holiday man season again and see which team gets promoted.

I would probably use the 442 P109,but that was before the P112 No Loss. However I also have my classic Oxford 41221 Tactic.

Thanks, I'll try them. Good luck with your LLM challenge, keep us posted.

  7. @knap, can the tactic above be used with underdogs? The tactics with more points are usually better for top dogs, and vice versa (just look at Beowulf P103 for example).

This tactic has 112 points, however it has IWB's and DW's also hard pressing PF's which work very good with underdogs.

Hopefully this tactic is your best "allroad" tactic. You should test it with Spurs.

  8. What would AI do, if you put 3 attackers when they are taking corners? Is it even possible.

In FM17 or 18 I saw Rashidi video on youtube where he had one striker at center of the pitch ready to burst forward, and one player in opposition midfield (with good first touch, off the ball and passing) that catches the ball if it bounce of the corner, giving him chance to quickly pass to striker. Sometime it work to execute a successfull counter attack.

What I hate about FM19 ME is, that I think SI didn't improve the ME at all, they just made obstacles to make play harder and make our players look like fools on the pitch.

  9. It was after 4 wins in first 4 matches that my player realized they were actually playing and winning against the odds in famous EPL so they decided it was time to stop as they literally froze.

After that I won 3 rounds of Carabao cup, but in following 8 EPL matches I won 0, drew 3 and lost 5. There were also some injuries, rotations...

I observed matches, and I have to say that I don't give any blame to the tactics which is superb.

Actually the play and the chances created with it were beyond my teams capability to finish the attack or counter. The play and the chances it was fun to watch.

Every game I drew or lost, I had the same or even more shots on target. In so many opportunities my players had 100%  chance to score. It was amazing.

I may try your other 4411 / 442 tactics and have fun.
