  1. Currently using a slight variation on the vertical tika taka. I noticed that when I changed the wingbacks to no nonsense fullbacks they will occasionally look to pump the ball over the top of the opponents defence which I quite liked. Seems to add a bit more variation in our attacks. So I might try to have a no nonsense full back on the side my mezzela is and put the mez in attack. And keep the wingback as is on the other side. I'm not really sure "how" I want my team to play to be honest. Lol
  2. Although that said. I imagine the merchandise sales the club could expect to earn would be huge. So I guess if you take that into consideration he could push for more. I'ld certainly like 1% of those global shirt sales 😁
  3. If he wants to play professional football he should grab any contract he can. Clubs are hardly queuing up for him, let alone those that can afford to offer big money.
  4. I'm playing as Livorno in Serie B. They got promoted at the end of last season and the season preview had us predicted to finish 3rd bottom. Im into November and currently in and around the top 5 or 6. I didn't make any signings and am using a slightly amended vertical tika taka style tactic. I wouldn't say I was dominating but am performing above expectations. I do find that I need to rotate the squad heavily due to the high pressing style and this has led to some poor results against teams that were struggling and also conceding late in second half when my players can't seem to pass to
  5. There are two uses of the word fixed here which I think are being confused. The draw is fixed in that it has been randomly drawn at midnight of the day of the draw. Not at the precise moment you click the draw next team button. However the draw is not fixed as in cheating. I. E. its not purposely giving you harder teams to play against.
  6. Yes I've had to zoom out to 125% on my 15.6 inch dell laptop. Felt like I was squinting all the time on 100%.
  7. I think they are the set sizes. I've had to zoom out to 125%! I just find the text too small as if I have to squint all the time. I have a decent sized laptop screen too. Guess I'm just getting old!
  8. You can edit the managers appearance on the start screen
  9. Ah nice idea. Shame I have no where near enough mobile data for that. I will just have to wait. Should be done before 10pm lol
  10. It seems a few members have already "arrived" hope they have the tissues handy
  11. Love a journeyman save. My fm17 took me from India > Australia > Brazil > Colombia > Portugal. Great fun playing in leagues I've never seen before. I'm always looking out for Deportivo Cali results now after a few dominant seasons in Colombia.
  12. Do you ever experience any issues carrying the beta over to the full game? Any bugs which patches fix which aren't compatible with your save? That's what I am worried about as I wouldn't want to start a long term save and have issues. Hence a couple of seasons of a beta save. By the way I love the choice of club for your save. Its similar in my thinking by taking a small club from a major footballing city and take them to the top Madrid for you Paris for me. Good luck with it 👍🏼
  13. Got it on Voidu a couple of weeks ago for £23. Really does feel like a bargain given how much time I'm likely to spend on it over the coming 12 months.
  14. First of all I've got to say I can't wait for the Beta to drop. I bought Fm17 late and so skipped FM18. So I've not had experience of the medical centre, the revised scouting, dynamics, some of the new player roles etc etc. So as you can imagine I'm itching to have a crack at all that plus all the new stuff on Fm19. I usually get through a season in a fortnight so have been think about who I should manage for 1 or 2 seasons in Beta before I start my first long term save with US Créteil in lower league France. I'm interested in what everyone is planning for the Beta. I'm thinking of
  15. The alpha stream showed options for a light and a dark alternate skin. So you can definitely get rid of the purple without downloading additional skins.
  16. Why are they silly? I thought they were terms used in real life to describe these type of footballing roles? Terms such as Mezzala and Carrilero have a touch of Latin American sound to them, so maybe they originate from there. Just because they aren't familiar terms used where you are based doesn't make them silly. You just hadn't heard of them before. (neither had I).
  17. After doing a season or so with the beta I've decided my first proper long term save will be with US Créteil, they are currently in the French Championnat National 2 which is the 4th tier (not sure if it is playable in fm19 or if I will need to download a db). They are a team from the suburbs of Paris who have recently spent time in the 2nd tier 2013-16 and have suffered successive relegations to end up where they are now. I'm not sure why the club has dropped like this but I want to be the one to bring them back up to their level and ultimately to be the biggest club in Paris and France
  18. If videocard is a concern you may only be able to play on 2d mode. Or be sure to reduce the graphics on 3d mode. Otherwise your match graphics might be quite jerky.
