  1. Never mind, it's just when loading into a new game you can't seem to choose it but you can using add manager.
  2. Hi, guys. I've noticed in the beta, you can't seem to manage an under 21 or under 19 international team, just the main squad? Do you think they have removed managing under 21s, under 19s from the main game too or is it just because it's beta?
  3. Check this video out if you're unsure.
  4. Hence why I said - Creating a new club on the editor is much more difficult hence why I provided an alternative. From what Tim has asked I gather he probably doesn't have much experience with the editor...
  5. You are better adding them as a B or C team. This is a lot easier -
  6. There's a guy on YouTube that makes guides - think he's continuing into FM18. So putting a playlist here to help anyone out for future.
  7. Have you got another data file that corrects team names? Load editor and change team name on any other data files you use also.
  8. I wouldn't say it's too easy. If you've developed a good relationship with your previous club and players, and go to a higher rated club. Would it not make sense your former players and staff would want to join you?
  9. Utd can pretty much buy anyone they want but incase of Brexit, I would definitely recommend buying more young English talent for homegrown/trained at club also. Ro-Shaun Williams, Callum Gribbon and Angel Gomes are very good but definitely think about adding more - I'd recommend Tristan Nydam and Andre Dozzell from Ipswich. Josh Tymon and Will Mannion from Hull and Andre Green from Villa.
  10. It's never a great idea to go to a B team to be honest, you're always at the will of the manager of the A team who can promote players, sign players, sell players etc I do believe you can request some first teamers to play for the B team if they don't have a game but pretty much Reserves Manager 2017.
  11. It's possible if the player was integrated with the team that his departure may have caused some issues for you but it's mainly just if a departure causes lack of depth in the team or if the player was a star player etc or maybe the squad felt you were treating him unfairly but you would have been sent a message regarding this and would be able to hold a team meeting. I would definitely be worried about your players not improving because even if training is not the greatest, if they are getting games they should improve naturally with game time. Do you run your youth squad training or do you get your Head of Youth Development to do it? It is possible they may have peaked still, best thing to do is request a scout report on your players with a scout with at least 15+ judging current ability and potential ability, if possible.
  12. No problem man. I copied the headings off another forum post and changed the stats so saved myself some time writing it out.
  13. I would have it like this. Tracksuit Manager: Attacking: 20 Defending: 1 Fitness: 1 Goalkeepers: 1 Tactical: 20 Technical: 20 Mental: 8 Working with Youngsters: 20 Focus on Tactical and Technical. At Real you will have dedicated Goalkeeper and Fitness coaches to pick up the short comings. You could probably deduct a few points off Working with Youngsters for some more on Mental, if you want, just my preference obviously. If you are playing Attacking football, I wouldn't be too concerned with Defending neither as you can get a separate coach for that too. Tactical Manager: Adaptability: 1 Determination: 20 Player Knowledge: 15 Youngster Knowledge: 15 Level of Discipline: 20 Man Management: 15 Motivating: 20 Tactical Management is more of your choice to be honest, Motivating and Man Management are the most important IMO but I like to have Determination high also. * I only have Man Management higher if I'm more of an Unknown Manager. If you have your Full Pro license/International footballer then focus more on Determination.
  14. Really depends how you play. I always have attacking (style of play I use) and working with youngsters really high (I rarely sign players over 25). Both knowledge are useful as is man management and motivating but you'll have lots of points if you're not moving club or country cos you can have your adaptability at 1.
  15. Just for a bit of fun, I guess. I've never personally done an FM story but it is an immersive game and it can be entertaining learning about how other people play the game and all the hardship and triumph that goes along with playing.
  16. Exactly what @BMNJohn said, Even if you set-up a database with "allow B teams to be promoted into this league", if the main club is in the above league, it will not allow the promotion. You are probably better creating two separate leagues with no promotions or relegations or have a third league with the B teams being in that to avoid any promotion/relegation clashes.
  17. Hi, mate. I'll try and give you some advice and hopefully it will be helpful for you. I've managed a lot of lower league teams in FM17 and firstly, I'd recommend maybe looking into getting a lower league tactic that works well from steam workshop or sites like FM Base. Secondly, try and have at least three tactics that your team knows, so if you do have a dip in form you can quickly change it up. Don't change to a completely unfamiliar tactic as this will cause your downfall. If you need a change desperately, try a variation of a tactic your team already knows to not cause your match preparation to be useless. Always praise your players after a good couple of wins but go aggressive if you're drawing or losing at half time (unless against a Man Utd etc). Warn against complacency for the next match if your team is inconsistent. As for your player that got booked a lot, you need to warn him privately then fine him (if you didn't do this already) some players seem prone to getting booked though. This also goes for players not playing well, interact with them privately, your last game was unacceptable etc. I always seem to have a dip in form at least once in a season, moral goes down quite easily even after a couple of draws. Hold a team meeting. if things are going really bad. It really pays to be a bit harsh in this game as long as your team are getting results and not revolting, you should be where you need to be. I won't advise you on training because I honestly just cycle through everything through the season, which seems to work for me.
  18. This sounds like an amazing idea. Honestly didn't know 1860 fell so far.
  19. Hi all. I'm doing a custom Scottish database with advanced nation rules but have completely forgot where you can set the TV fixture rules i.e important matches, random etc. I've set this before, but for the life of me, I can't seem to find it anywhere. If anyone could remind me where you can set this, I would be grateful. Regards, Pow.
  20. Would be in data editor folder - C:\Users\Whatever your name is?\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2017\editor data You should be able to delete inc files though this might infringe on SI licensing issues. The data file should be able to be loaded when you go in FM under the name you have given it.
  21. It's most likely your data files. If you have one name for one competition on one data file and a different name of the same competition on another. The game will only load one. You're best editing the name of the competition on the data file you use or both. Hope this helps.
