  1. Well what Im going to do is changing CAR to DLP (S) and Regista to Anchor Man in order to hold the midfield area, its going to be my main tactic, the second one is the tactic you saw in my first post. Im open to discuss about role changes in tactics. Yes it is and thank you! What makes this tactic successful is long shooting ability of the midfielders. We scored 20+ goals with CM's (Gary Gardner not included in squad as Villa recalled him), Off the ball movements of the wingers and crossing ability of FB's. I also observed that our shots on goal are coming inside of the 6 yard box, places directly see the oppositon goal. Our xG will be very high I guess. Btw with the limited budget I will be on the cheap. What Im looking in the transfer market is : 1 or 2 Strikers 2 CB's 1 or 2 wingers 1 DM and 2 MC's 2 FB's right and left
  2. Ok , here you go : David Davis injured for 7-8 months , I generally used Gary Gardner in CAR role. (loaned from Aston Villa) He was also injured (7-8 months) so villa recalled him. At the january transfer window we signed Vrhovec ,Nalini and Srbeny combined 3M , before that Lewis Wing was my Mezzalla. I like to use RMD - T combination , actually they made things harder for opposition defenders , Especially for Jota , marking him is very hard for the defenders. Also Paganini is lurking into pockets of spaces, dribbles trough middle and even they are double up sometimes with Jota. I also like to play with regista, because of the playmaker side of it. A regista is key when you build up play from the back. Also in transition press he act like a BWM which is a cool thing. But as we are in EPL Im open to talk about role changes tactic changes etc. Sidney Sam from Bochum signed and he will be added to my squad in June. We have some players loaned out , there you go :
  3. Hi guys, I played with Lyon before my Birmingham save. I won the league two times from coming behind ( with 20+ games unbeaten runs in each season). In my third season PSG sign pogba for 173 M !!! and they are again 1st in the league with a 7 points advantage (like the previous seasons). So it became so stressful to try win each and every game and wait for a PSG loss. Even I played a UCL final with Liverpool (lose 1-0 unfortunately) I decided to start a new advanture and trying to implement a different tactic. I had always an allergy to the wingers. I never used wingers in Lyon (I used 1 DM 2 MC 2 AMC system), In FM 2018 when I won 2 in row league titles with ManU I used classic 4-4-2 and 4-3-3. So using wingers will be a different experience for me. So I choose to manage Birmingham for no pressure , little money to spend so little transfer activity etc. I started to watch some tactical profile videos from youtube especially for wingers. So lets start. I got promoted to the EPL by finishing 2nd with Birmingham in my first season. Key things to say are : We scored 102 goals ( If you want i can share screenshots of my tactic / evidences or anything you want) We conceded 75 goals (second worst in the league) . I think my CB's are capable for the championship. (Roberts-Dean) A great run in Carabao Cup (Knocked out by PNE in Quater Final 5-1 trashing but wins agains wolves and bournemouth) We had some very different scorelines eg 6-6 draws two 6-4 wins a lot 4-1 5-1 wins and 1 6-2 win. I watched games in comprehensive mode , so I watched most of the games technically, the weird thing is if we are 2-0 down, we will respond it well to make it 2-2 and all of a sudden we can be 4-2 up and the opposition scores 2 goals and make it 4-4. Or 3-0 up in HT then 3-3 in FT. Loads of unlucky moments. 15+ shots on goal every game but the opposition came and score 4 goals from 6-8 shots etc. I actually dont know how we concede 75 goals , but how can i analyze our defensive performance to improve it? With a transfer budget of 37 M euros and a wage budget of 30 M , any summer transfer suggestions? Everything you will say will be welcomed. If you are interested in my case you can reply to this post so I can upload screenshots so we can start analyzing the team. (you will see the quality of the squad is nearly **** for EPL). You can also make comments about player roles, actually everything you will say matters.
  4. I have many : Erton Fejzullahu - AMC/ST Antonio Zito - CM Andrea Luci - CM Scott McTominray - CM Joe Ralls - CM Massimo Donati - DM/CM Alberto Nocerino - CM Carlo Pinsoglio - GK Sebastian Leto - ST Conor Ronan - AMC Callum Gribbin - AMC Damien Le Tallec - DC Mitchell Donald - DM/MC Yeah its impossible to bring all of these players in a single transfer window. But this is the general shortlist of players that can be signed depending on the team/ the tactical setup that I will use. But I always sign Le Tallec , Zito and Fejzullahu to my teams...
  5. We will play with Romanian side Cluj in a friendly match . Actually I want to save the game on matchday , then trying W-M systems one by one , W-M with two wingers system I prefer to play longball , but in more narrower version I would like to keep posession and press high to get the ball back.
  6. Ok thanks for the tip. This is the latest situation for the W-M tactic : I really like to play wit two MEZs as it was super effective with my Fulham save. But Im open to new ideas as I said before..
  7. Yeah I know it will be a gigantic problem , but firstly I want to keep the original shape and throw out a generic tactic to hear from you. So as you said I have just create another version of W-M : So which setup is more reliable to start with?
  8. This is the second version of W-M . The Back 5 is remains the same . I have some questions to ask : 1) As the original tactic contains 2 IFs , What if I use 2 IFs with attack duty or 1 RMD + 1 IF or 2RMDs at the same time? For each options what do you recommend for striker roles? 2) What if I use 1 IF + 1 RMD . Do you prefer 2 Defensive forwards or 1 DF + 1 T ? This is my dad's W-M. İs regista ok with this formation? What about CB pairing? I would love to see your ideas...
  9. This is the very initial tought of W-M. There are no PI and TI at the moment. I really welcome your ideas to build the strongest W-M possible. So there are differences between original W-M and my version. The reasons are : 1) I use IWBs with attack duty. Altough I like to use WB,there is a need to cover the central areas of the pitch. But I still dont know WB or IWB is appropriate for this tactic. 2) The tactic offers 2 Half Backs. It seems logical as these two drop deeper and acting like a CB , but who will build the play up? Thats why I prefer a VOL - HB partnership. What about VOL- Anchor Man partnership? Do you use this pairing? Share with us 3) There is no such thing like 2AMC with a role of Inside forward. So I changed that bit. 2 AMC with AP(s) will drop the central areas as well as spraying passes to others. I also eager to know your opinion about 2 Trequartistas in AMC. What will happen? 4) Also there is no such thing like putting wingers in line with a lone striker. So I put 3 strikers. You see that we have 5 players in front. So I want to make them pressing all the way down. With 5 plus players pressing effectively we can get the ball back quickly. So Im open to discuss about PI and TI with you to make this tactic super effective when it comes to pressing. Shortly I wil post another possible version of W-M and my dad's version (which is basically switched W-M).
  10. 12 hours ago, Majos Trajos said: My dad died 10 years ago . I played FM-CM since 2004 and my dad knew that I love this game . So he want to give me some inspiration and introduced me the Brazil 1950's tactic W-M . I always want to use this tactic in somewhere else and earn success. I searched W-M and found this.I have 2 questions to ask : 1) My dad always said that W at the back M in attack. Is this the case how can I interpret player roles. 2) If this figure is correct am I going to use 2 Half Backs . I believe Anchor Man - Volante or DM(S) - Volante is more appropriate. You also see that there are 2 IFs in central attacking midfield. What can I do now? As @zlatanera offered me to open a thread and @Hovis Dexter supported I opened the thread. Lets have a good long discussion. I will post to this thread shortly. Then we should talk about player roles.

  13. Ok , I will give you some tips. I really enjoyed teams with poor financial state. In my Blackburn save ( before the database update) I did certain things. Im going to share it with you so you might have an idea. Get rid of useless loaned players at your club - Wage budget is a part of your overall bank balance , for example if you have 5M£ in your balance and if you spend 8M£ on wages yearly , at the end of the season you will probably end with -2M£ minimum bank balance. So if you think a player(s) is not fitting to your tactic or below the standards for your league, get rid of him. Selling a player is an art - Yes it is true. When you sell a player with a lot of potential ( Ryan Nyambe or Joe Rankin Costello for example at Blackburn) put non-negotiable percentage of profit from next sale clause. I sold Joe Rankin Costello to Spurs for 6M and Ryan Nyambe to Swansea for 1.5M net cash with %40 of profit from next sale clause. When you do something like this track it from the clauses section of transfers tab. When the profit clause is available to sell, sell it immediately. I remembered I generate an extra 4M+ from these clauses within months. Negotiate new contracts with high earners - When you take control of a club, look trough the players at your helm. See which players earn how much, then re-negotiate their contracts. Try to reduce their annual earnings. Do not use yearly wage rises or promotion wage rises for both players and staff - I also said staff because staff wages will also be deducted from your bank balance. Do one year contracts with your players - This is another trick that I use. For example you probably dont know Kosovan striker Erton Fejzullahu (he is a good forward look at him) . So you have just discovered Erton but you are uncertain if he comes good for your team. Then offer him a one year contract with optional contract extension clause. If he does wonders , fine trigger the extension or if he struggles to perform say bye to him. What I am trying to say is, you will have a range of a wage budget to spend ( depends of your success) , at the end of the season reduce the wage bill as much as possible to open room for more quality players...
