  1. Currently it just says you're playing FM23. It would be cool if it gave details about your save, like the team your managing, the date you're at, your position in the table, and when you're in matches it says the score. Things like this would be nice.
  2. I don't mind doing staff appointments and contracts myself, but it can get a little tedious when I have to do my entire youth and reserve team as well as my first team. Some times I wish I could just trust the game to sign good staff members for me but it isn't really the case. It would be nice if I could tell the DoF to only sign staff members if they fit certain criteria. For example I could say "Sign a new Physio but only if their Physio attribute is above 15 and they are younger than 60", or "Sign a new GK coach, but only if they three GK attributes, Determination, Discipline and Motivation are above 12" or if I wanted to sign staff that can grow and get better while in my club I could say, "Sign an u18 coach that has 10 Determination, Discipline, and Motivation, who has at most a National A licence". That way I can still control what type of staff members my DoF brings in to the club without it being a total lottery, as well as being actively able to tell my DoF when to try and sign someone instead of them just doing it whenever they feel like it.
  3. I love playing Europa Universalis 4. In this game there is an "ironman mode", which you need to use if you want to earn achievements. The idea behind it is that it makes it harder to cheat (though in reality it is poorly implemented and it's still very easy to cheat). It would be great if FM had some kind of ironman mode that made it far more difficult to cheat. The two mod common cheating methods include "save scumming" and using editors (whether official or 3rd party) to change values in the game. Changing the values in game is done through reading and writing to/from memory addresses. Games such as War Selection implement methods that make this *way* more difficult, so that you can't just simply load up Cheat Engine and change values at-will, it obfuscates the actual values so that you can't actually find what you're looking for. By implementing measures to prevent save scumming, and also implementing methods to stop editors from working, it would allow us to have an ironman mode in FM. I run /r/footballmanagergames, and I personally would love to see an ironman mode so that we could hold competitions far more easily without having to worry about all the cheaters that inevitably come along to ruin the fun. Even on these forums you have people running leaderboards to see who can complete things the fastest, such as the pentagon challenge, san marino challenge, and so on, however it's impossible to know if people who submit their scores to these things are cheating or not - ironman mode would fix this. Ironman mode would also make achievements more special. It's super easy to just use 3rd party editors to change everything in the game and make it super simple to get the difficult achievements, and adding save scumming on top of that, it just devalues achievements. Ironman mode would be a completely optional thing when setting up the database, so people who want to have a more relaxed save and just cheat a bit here and there can continue to do so, but the people who actually want to show of that they did something legitimately can then use ironman mode to do so. Bit of a long post, I hope it was coherent enough to understand,
  4. I'm the guy who runs the /r/footballmanagergames subreddit. The Reddit API is expansive and well-documented, so it would be really awesome if there was a button in-game that took a screenshot of the screen the player is currently on, and let them choose a title for it so that they can upload it directly to Reddit. Of course they would need to have a Reddit account to go through the oauth flow first, but I think it would be a lot easier for people to share their saves with people.
  5. I just started a journeyman save, and there's been a few moments in some games that I would love to remember throughout my journey. For example I had a match in which my GK got 2 assists, and a few goals that would be Ballon D'or contenders had they happened in real life. It's these moments that I'd love to be able to right click on a match in my schedule and "bookmark" it with a note such as "amazing goal" or "GK 2 assists", so that it appears in some kind of "bookmarked matches" tab so that no matter how far in the future I am, I can always easily look at the list and see all the moments that I'd saved. I really feel like it would give longer saves that special touch when looking back on your history.
  6. I'm currently doing a save where I'm only signing players who like/love big matches and who are consistent performers. Going through every single scout report to find these players is *incredibly* tedious. In a similar vein, many people don't like to sign anyone who the scout thinks is injury prone. Being able to filter for all of these things would be a massive help. Obviously it would only filter out players who have already been scouted though, else it would be far too OP.
  7. I've heard that keeping players in the youth teams is better for very early development (when players are still 15, 16) because youth teams do a lot more physical work, whereas senior teams it's more technical, so having youth players in your main squad physically stunts either growth?
  8. This is pretty much already possible. Just play a flat back 5 and then two Half Backs in front.
  9. Not necessarily, no. If the only thing I care about in that squad are a handful of players, then everything else in that squad is going to get neglected regardless of whether those handful of players can only be accessed in the u19 squad or whether I can display them in my main squad. It just saves a lot of clicking back and forth, messing with filters, etc, and just lets us display the players we want in the main squad. Those other teams still have their training schedules, their primary competitions, and so on, so they still have a purpose.
  10. In my save I recently got a couple of decent 15/16 year olds in my youth intake who I rotate in to my first team from time to time due to the ridiculously packed schedule I have. However, I want to keep them in the youth squad. I know that I can use the filters to display youth/u21 players, but I don't want *all* of those players to appear because I'm never even going to click on the profiles of most of them let alone put them anywhere near the first team. Instead, it would be great if we could right click on a player's name and select an option that says something like, "display in..." and then select the team we want them to display in. That way, they remain in the u19 squad and do the u19 training, but I can also have them displayed in my main squad too without all of the other bloat players that are in that same squad. It's kind of like how we can select "Make available for u19's" for players, but instead it would allow us to do that for any team in our club. I know it's not going to be a priority to add this due to it simply being a QoL change and this already technically being possible (just with all the bloat players as well), but it would definitely make squad management far nicer.
  11. I know they must be young, but what else? It feels like the majority of young players I want to sign with the aim of immediately sending them out on loan simply don't have that promise available?
