I normally save germany for later in the fm cycle as being part german I tend to enjoy managing in germany quite often as last year I took Dynamo Dresden to UCL regulars but I think I'll try a different kind of challenge despite still playing in yellow with this new side

These are the main tactics I'll be using as I feel Dortmund's squad is perfect for a 4-2-3-1 and my personal love affair with the diamond

I am in the market for a GK and a RB right now and I have identified 3 for both positions

What skin are you using? And what players have you got on your shortlist?

I inherited a pretty good squad at the start of the game and didn't think I needed to make any real transfers apart from signing a striker as our main striker Cosgrove is out injured for the first few months of the season.

We brought in Jón Daði Böðvarsson on a year long loan deal with an option to buy from Millwall.

We begin the season with no real pre season as we have the Europa League qualifiers to contend with as shown below.

We were unlucky to lose out in the 3rd qualifying round, losing 14-13 on penalties.

I will do another update shortly at the end of the January transfer window.

So I guess I have finished the Depor save.

Won the league again, won the CL again, so I kinda lost interest. Won the Euro Supercup, my B team won the Segunda, and my U19 team won the league and CL aswell.

So I retired, and decided to simulate 5 years into future. Depor havent won the league in those 5 years (never lower than 4th), but have won 1 CL. They did sell most of my players though, 3rd season of the holiday they raked in 600m from sales :D

Well, now for some rest from FM, and then after the March update starting with my hometown Croatian side.

Well done on your Deportivo success. I am looking at starting as Tenerife when the update is out. Do you have any tips oflr good signings to make in the Spanish lower leagues?

Also can you give me a brief summary of where they finished each season?

    Aberdeen Season One

I have decided that my latest challenge will be to try and break the Old Firm dominance in Scotland. They are the third most successful club in Scotland having won the top flight 4 times but not since 1985. They have also won 13 domestic cups to go along with the 1983 UEFA Cup Winners Cup that they won with Alex Ferguson at the helm.

Below are the trophies won under Sir Alex.

So all in all I have some big boots to fill.

I will get my transfer news up soon.

I'm waiting for the Transfer update before starting a new game but I'm torn between Real Sociedad and Villarreal to manage.

Both seems to have a good mix of players to start the game with, some good youth prospects coming through and are financially stable. I'm probably going to try and target mainly Spanish players with both clubs, with a mix of french and south american players as well - are there any you would definitely recommend looking into?

I'm also waiting for the update to start as Tenerife.

Look at Arezo, Brenner, Kaio Jorge from South America.

What would be some exciting teams you would suggest? Maybe not specific teams, like the level of clubs ie. how you define "big club"

Top 4 in the country they play in??

    Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern, Psg.

A few seasons to get used to how the game works.

  7. For a complete beginner a big club is the way to go.

I'm trying to get one of my pals into FM he's a chelsea fan but idk if playing chelsea straight off the bat would be too easy. Are there any teams that you guys would recommend for relative beginners? Don't want him to lose interest after a week :D
