  1. I don't think England is hard-coded as I have gotten the new intake day of January 3 with a variance of 2 to work.
  2. Ohhh then that should the logged as a bug. By the way, how did you get to 2044 really fast?
  3. Was this from a FM23 save? I remember SI saying that the Manger timeline would be a bit bugged if you import a save from FM23.
  4. I think when you first set up the game, it picks up the default language of your PC.
  5. I think the reputation of the league you're in has the most significant effect on the valuation of your players.
  6. I found something interesting when looking through the database in the pre game editor. When looking through the nations you mentioned that have fast youth development (Mexico, Costa Rica and Norway), I had a look at the value of the youth importance for every club in their nation and I found something interesting. In Mexico about 91.5% of their clubs have a youth importance of at least 10. In Norway about 44% of their clubs have a youth importance of at least 10; in Costa Rica, about 60% of the clubs there have a youth importance of at least 10. Comparing that with top nations like France and England there is probably a significant difference. In England only about 16% of the clubs in the country have a youth importance of about 10; while for France, about 13% of the clubs in the nation have a youth importance of at least 10. Could this be added to one of the many factors why youth development is slow in some countries and fast in some other ones?
  7. Thank you. When you made your changes, how much did you increase the values. Did you put them at the maximum value or you just increased it by a certain percentage?
  8. If you want better quality players in your created team, it's best that you add them manually. The players generated at the start of any game will always have a 130 PA cap. That's why the quality is not great.

  10. You can poach newgens. If you're a club in the EU you can sign newgens aged 16 and above from other newgen clubs. If any newgen is aged 16 and is a free player you can also sign them up.
  11. I can only give info on the Arsenal players. I don't really know a lot about the rest. Fabregas: Fabregas left Barcelona and he was essentially a free transfer and was available for anyone to pick up. In FM23 no matter the age of the player, it is possible to sign them on a free transfer. For example if you are in Man city, it is possible in game to sign a 15-16 Brazilian if they aren't affiliated to any club. Martinelli : Martinelli was signed by Arsenal when he was 18. He turned 18 a month before he signed for Arsenal. Arsenal scouts picked up on him 3-4 months before he signed for Arsenal.
  12. The change in player development from FM22 could be a reason for this. Before FM22 players more or less met their potential on or before the age of 23. That's why in previous games (before FM22), you could see newgens as the key players of some top clubs after 3-5 years. FM22 changed the way development works to stop a majority of the players in the game meeting their potential by the age of 23. This in turn allowed players to be able to develop well into their late 20s. Although, from the experiments and simulations run (in FM22 and FM23), a bit of balancing is required. The international managers pick players based on ability first then reputation. I really don't think anything has changed in international management for the last couple of years in FM; the only thing that changed was the development of players.
  13. Just did a quick simulation to find out how long it takes before the in-progress list starts reduces and the scouts start giving recommendations or near matches. It takes about a month and a half before you start seeing a bit of progress on your ongoing focus.
  14. I think the players will not move until the priority focus is over. The focus usually takes 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly.
  15. It seems a lot of things have changed and scouting and transfer system is now in in-line with the transfer rules set in each nation and league. For example in an EU country, you can only sign players aged 16 and above from other EU countries. That's why it is going to be hard to sign a 15 year old from an another EU team in another country. Another example is that if you are a team in the EU or in the UK and you want sign a South American, North American, African or Asian wonderkid or player then you have to wait till they are at least age 18 before you can do that. Anybody less than that age will not be interested in the transfer. For the final example, if you are in England, you can't sign players that are less than the age of 18. This is probably due to Brexit. However you can sign sign players who are going to turn 18 within your current season. This means that if a player is 17 years old and his birthday falls during the span of your current season then you can sign him in the available transfer windows. I might be wrong but I think these changes are intentional and I am really a big fan of it. I think the changes are meant to do two things. 1. Make sure all or majority of our transfers in game are done in the allotted transfer windows. 2. Remove the situation where players can have like numerous future transfers on youngsters around the world who haven't even played a game for their respective team.
  16. You can only scout a nation if there are enough players in them. Those nations are greyed out because the amount of players in them are not enough. To be able to scout them, you should load more players through the advanced database.
  17. The issue is with AI clubs. You should have no issues developing your players. I haven't had any issues on my side.
  18. Downloaded the save. I think the reason for the strange results is that all leagues (English, French, Germany, Irish, Italian, Scottish and Spanish) apart from the Welsh JD Cymru league are view only.
  19. The future regens edt has been fixed for FM23.
  20. I am very sure some cups in England have a similar draw style to the European cups.
  21. Bundesliga was licensed in FM22 and it could still be edited/removed. The european competitions won't be any different.
  22. It's not fake. It was posted by the official Football manager account on instagram.
