  1. FM18 Youth Academy Challenge

Evening everyone So I've really been struggling to get a save going this year but after reading through this thread I've decided to give it a shot. The nation I've decided to start in is Austria, a season simmed and June 14th comes about, it's nice to see that the Austrian First Division has had the number of teams increased from 10 to 16 so I have 9 teams to choose from (3 were relegated and 9 promoted to increase it from 10 to 16). After a bit of investigation I decided to take the job with the team with the best Youth Facilities. So my club I am going to be is.... This should be fun! 2020/21 - Season Review What a season! I completely revamped the squad and we smashed the league! Winning the league with 4 games to spare I also won the Chekatrade Trophy but no one cares about that! Onwards and upwards for me, my rep is now at 50% and I'm currently learning my Continental A Licence. @vikeologistyes they were promoted in 2nd place. Must've done a good job!

2019/20 Review - Charlton After taking over Charlton in 11th midway through the season I was confident we could push for the playoffs. At points we flirted with the top 6 but were never consistant enough in the end. Lots of players came in and some of my bigger names left which affected morale and results. I have full confidence though that next season will be a good one. The squad I have looks decent. Transfers In/Out - Everything after Dec 19 is my business If you look closely you will see we signed a 34 year old Wayne Rooney, more to be a influential player in the dressing room! The League One Final Table My Player of the Season - Ollie McBurnie In other news: I am now doing my Continental C License and my rep has increased to %, a sharp increase mainly due to the size of club I'm at What next? I'm more than likely gonna stick it out here for a season (as long as nothing massive comes up!), we can easily push for promotion and will give me a good rep increase if I can. The only issue is I clearly have very little support from the players or the board so a bad run of results could lead to me getting the boot. An international job is now one of my main priorities, I need to start ticking some trophies off! 2019/20 Season - Moving clubs! I did sign a new contract with Grimsby and after a really good start the job interviews started flooding in, and just as our form started falling away (we slipped from 1st to 6th in League 2) a job offer came in from the League above and with a £2.3m transfer kitty I couldn't say no. CheekyBananaFM is off to........ Currently 11th in League 1 only 4 points off the playoffs

2018/19 Review - Grimsby Town My first full season in charge and after tonnes of player changes I finally has my squad ready for the season. And what a season it was. We were always in and around the play off spots, never dropped below 9th but never went above 5th. A good run at the end secured a play off spot with a game to spare. Not bad a for a team predicted to end 16th. Into the play offs semi finals where we faced Colchester, we drew the first leg 1-1 (away) and smashed them 4-0 in the second leg. In the final we faced Southend and unfortunately it wasn't meant to be as we lost the tie 2-1. Gutted to come so far and fall short at the final hurdle. We had a decent run in the FA Cup getting to the 3rd Round where we got a money-spinning tie away to Liverpool. We lost the game 5-1 but made £900k in gate receipts! In other news - I have gained my National C Licence and have just been given the OK to start doing my National B Licence. Plans for next season - My contract is about to run out and currently I haven't been offered a new deal, after the season we have had I expect to be offered one. I will take it if it comes up but am actively going to look for a bigger job to improve my rep (this is currently 15%). If I don't get offered another job it isn't the end of the world. The Liverpool tie and the Play off final has bumped our bank balance up from -£400k to £1.5m. They have given me around £30k in transfer money and around £10k in extra wage budget to spend. 2017/18 Review - Grimsby Town - League Two This is gonna be titled "the good, the bad and the downright bloody chaotic!" We took over in 23rd place and results have been mixed to say the best. First the good: Then the bad: Then the downright chaotic: This has been the tale of the season, but in the end, we did more than enough to fend away the chance of relegation ending 15th in the league. No cups as we were already out. So a decent first season. Defensively we need a massive shake-up!!! Some hard work ahead. Money here is really bad as well so can't see any chance of doing any coaching badges, I'll just keep plodding along and hope my rep increases and actively look for bigger and better jobs!
  9. The Ultimate Football Manager Challenge

Well I have my first job and it's a real surprise. I really didn't expect to be offered a job in League Two of England but my first interview and my first job offer is with Grimsby! Currently 23rd in League Two after 14 games, we have a little bit of ground to make up on the teams above us. This is a really interesting start to the challenge. The aim now is to stay up, get some badges and increase my reputation as quickly as possible. I won't stick around here longer than 2 or 3 season and will actively look for a bigger job to improve my rep as quick as possible
  10. The Ultimate Football Manager Challenge

Hi guys, apologies for not posting on here in a while. I've had some really bad PC problems which means until now I have been FM-less. I have eventually been out and bought myself a new laptop but unfortunately all my old UMC save files have gone. I am going to be starting this save again and I'm thinking of doing it a little bit differently than the norm. So I'm going to load the "Big 5" nations up to start with and I can't move on from these until I have won all 5 of the leagues and cups and also the UEFA European Champions League. Once I've done that then I'll move onto the rest of the challenge. Going to be a long road to actually winning some trophies but hopefully this makes it a little more interesting for myself and a bit more challenging.
  11. The Ultimate Football Manager Challenge

Well It hasn't taken me long to get a new job. I wasn't expecting much. I have my Continental C Licence but my stats still aren't that good. My reputation is "Nominal" So jobs came, jobs went then then after 3 months of interviews I got an offer which to me seems decent, it's not easy but it's a good challenge in a lead where there isn't one dominant team. Unión Española S.A.D.P. They are a Chilean team in the top division currently 13th out of 16 teams with 5 games to go in the season. We need a couple of wins to assure safety. It seems like they are way down but actually they have been quite successful winning the Chilean League 6 times, most recently 2013 and are predicted to end 6th in the league. So there is some hard work ahead, I don't mind that as long as my players don't suck like at Selangor, and by the looks of it the squad is pretty good and we have £3m in the transfer kitty!
  12. The Ultimate Football Manager Challenge

Hi all. Apologies for lack of updates in all honesty I haven't picked the save up in ages and now I've realised why. I'm just not enjoying being at Selangor. The players suck and we are getting worse! So I'm cutting my losses and resigning. I leave with 1 trophy under my belt but now it's pastures new and a job hunt. I hope to bring you another update tomorrow
  13. My attempt at the Ultimate Manager Challenge & maybe more

May 2019 The amazing start continues!
  14. My attempt at the Ultimate Manager Challenge & maybe more

March 2019 Only two games and we continue our decent start to the league season. No game now for 56 days!
  15. My attempt at the Ultimate Manager Challenge & maybe more

February 2019 A pretty decent start. Gone totally defensive and apart from the cup game it seems to have paid off! We got smashed in the Champions League but I fully expected that. The League this year is the most important and we have started pretty well in that. I've also made a few extra signings to try and improve on my poor transfer dealings previously.
