  1. If I understand you correctly (Google translate) you are having some issues playing defensive? If so, I'd advise you to look in the tactic section of the forums and perhaps creating a new thread there where you post your tactic and explain what your issue is and how you have tried to sort it out. If possible, I'd advise you to do so in English since there will be more people who can read it and try to help, otherwise they would have to translate through some software and details can be lost by doing so.
  2. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2028 - Liga MCB 1st Division Squad | Transfers | Finances We retained the league and this time we went through without any losses. Only 3 draws as well. In the CONCACAF Champions League we are still a bit off the rest of the teams. We drew Alajuelense of Costa Rica, Tigres of Mexico, and Ciabo of the Dominican Republic. In most matches we held our own and both losses to Alajuelense and Ciabo was close calls, and I'm very proud of getting a draw away at Estadio Universitario de Nuevo León in Mexico, even if Tigres had already won the group at that point. In the CFU Club Championship we continued our good run last year and won our group ahead of ASC Le Geldar of French Guiana, Flamingo of Bonaire, and ASU Grand Santi of French Guiana. Then we beat Jabloteh of Trinidad and Tobago and Cibao of the Dominican Republic (payback for the CL!) to reach the final for the 2nd year running. There we turned the luck from last year as we actually won on pens this time in a close battle with Cavalier of Jamaica. Very nice to get this trophy in the bag! Youth intake: We keep getting strong and stronger intakes, and I love it! One clear standout player this time. This kid is just leaps and bounds better than anything I have at the club, and is from the moment of the intake the best player at the club. Dazzling skills for this level! 3. Yeah, the clubs are Dutch. I'm quite surprised I haven't had any Dutch 2nd nationalities yet, since Curaçao technically belongs to the Netherlands. I don't usually check for more nationalities than the first two, but I had a quick gander now, and no one has any. Looking around the other Curaçaoan clubs, they do have it (and other nations), so I think it's probably down to the Colombian newgen bias at the club.
  4. The first one... Oh no, the flood gates have opened!
  5. I've loaded quite a few, as well as the Mexican, US, and Canadian leagues to make sure the big boys are there. I also added Holland, England, and France since most of the island nations have a link to those countries. And of course, the Colombian league since I get my newgens from there. I also did what I always do when I start a game. I add all "Current continental players" and "Players from clubs in continental competitions" for all continents. So that makes all national teams have a full set of players no matter what I do, and most big clubs from each continent have full squads. So I can go into a random nations team and they will have a full squad. And the same goes for all clubs that compete a the highest level.
  6. Well, I do this in general, but if I feel I'm swamped, I've also subbed the remaining winger for a central midfielder and played a 4-1-3-1 as it were, to push the wide central midfielders out as faux wingers. It all depends on how the match has gone, and if I just want to see it out or actually do anything productive. I've at times changed the forward role, but I really like the AF role for a striker, so I often keep him up there to let us counter if we need a goal.
  7. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2027 - Liga MCB 1st Division Squad | Transfers | Finances I think it's fair to say we have become the dominant domestic side now, so I won't spend much time writing up about it unless something happens. We won the league by a mile. Before the season started we had our first taste of the CONCACAF Champions League, and we really got a feel that we have a long way to go! We got drawn up against Atlas Guadalajara of Mexico, Cruz Azul of Mexico, and Pacific FC of Canada. To sum it up, we mostly got thumped. I'm very proud of the undeserved draw at home to Pacific FC, but this showed we really have to take steps to try to compete. Unsurprisingly, we finished dead last. In the CFU Club Championship we fare a lot better, and this time we went straight into the group stage. Here we got Paradise (GRN) of Grenada, Alpha United of Guyana, and Renegades FC of The Bahamas. We bossed the group and won it to qualify onwards. Then we beat Reno (JAM) of Jamaica and THL Rangers of Trinidad and Tobago to reach the final. There we lost on pens to Cibao of Dominican Republic. So close to a fantastic triumph, but no cigar yet. I also want to take the time to show of one my favourites here so far. He is not the best, but he always delivers and fits perfectly into the tactic as the midfielder with a license to go forward. 17 goals and 15 assists in 27 matches is just plain crazy for a central midfielder! Youth intake: A pretty amazing intake for us! Those improved facilities showing a good return on interest so far. Pretty amazing right winger for this level right here. Quite pacey, nice technique, dribbling and crossing. What more can you ask for? Another good striker that has a lot of qualities I look for. Also a resolute personality! I'm in the market for a left back, so this kid will be retrained to fit in there! 8. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2026 - Liga MCB 1st Division Squad | Transfers | Finances We retained the title this season, and this time we did it by a bit of a distance in both the league and the playoffs. We also competed in a continental tournament for the first time. In the CFU Club Championship we beat St. Peter's (SKN) of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Future Stars of The Bahamas to reach the group stage. There we drew Nacional (ARU) of Aruba, Big Players of Saint Lucia, and Huracán (PUR) of Puerto Rico. There we crushed the opponents and won our group. Then we drew Don Bosco of Haiti, and unfortunately lost both legs and got knocked out. Still a great first run. Towards the end of the season I got the message we had qualified for the CONCACAF CL! I'm very excited to play there and see how we do. With the money we got for qualifying I immediately invested it into youth facilities. Youth intake: A great intake with a standout player. A very talented striker with a great personality. Trophy cabinet Liga MCB 1st Division - 2 (2025, 2026) Curaçao Segundo Divishon - 1 (2023) Curaçao Terser Division - 1 (2022)
  9. Going too defensive and giving away the initiative completely is rarely a good idea in my book. The goal is to try to minimize the impact of being a player less, so here is what I do. This is my current tactic that I'm using in my saves at the moment. If I get a man sent of, I usually sub one of the wingers, mostly the left one, because an AP on the wing restricts the least space here. I then change the BWM to a Carrilero. Why? Well, the job of the CAR is the best job for helping out wide in all phases of the game. So my left back isn't abandoned to be 1v2, and the same for going forward. I also often drop the other CM to support, and perhaps make the striker into a PF-A. Some variations based on players I have and the score. Do I just want to see the game off, or do I need to actually do something? These things will have an impact. In general I think we are doing quite well when we go behind, although at times, we do struggle to cope against better teams especially.
  10. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2025 - Liga MCB 1st Division Squad | Transfers | Finances We did it! Champions of Curaçao! Now we look toward the CFU Club Championship, and then the CONCACAF CL! Youth intake: Excellent intake, but I think we have enough central midfielders now... An amazing defender for this level. Excellent physical attributes for this level. That passing it outrageous for this level! Powerful centre back. Aggressive and brave as well! 11. I agree, I think that AI squad management is so much more important that graphics that the two can't even be compared. I would love improved visuals, but functionality trumps it for me.
  12. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2024 - Liga MCB 1st Division Squad | Transfers | Finances The first season in the top flight was a quite nice one! It's obvious the level is a step higher, but I think we can compete here. We finished 2nd in both the league play and the playoff, so no continental football for us next season, but should have a chance to win going forward. Youth intake: Another excellent intake with two great players. Another great midfielder! Not sure where I can fit in all, but I'll take them! A very good Chilean striker! I think he should score quite a lot of goals for us. Trophy cabinet Curaçao Segundo Divishon - 1 (2023) Curaçao Terser Division - 1 (2022)
  13. No worries, happy to help. Often the game has some sort of tooltip if you hover over anything so perhaps it's there for this too?
  14. I don't have it in front of me currently, but I think it's either lightly injured or that the player is exhausted and need a rest.
  15. I was gonna add the "those are rookie numbers"-meme, but then I looked at my own numbers.... I can't really say that 8 hours more are elite, now can I?
  16. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2023 - Curaçao Segundo Divishon Squad | Transfers | Finances Another lovely season here in Curaçao, and we got our 2nd promotion in a row! And like last season we dominated the league, but struggled a bit more to clinch the promotion in the playoff. Still, in the end we did it thanks to a late draw from Santa Rosa (CUW). So next season we are playing the top Curaçaoan league, and we can work towards continental football! The board actually have been quite nice, and approved some improvements to youth coaching and youth development and that is really paying off already! Youth intake: Quite a remarkable intake! Sure, some questionable personalities, but the talent is out of this league! Gilberto Lasso 23a is a very nice midfielder, and one of the best players at the club already. Jamie Polo 23b is very close to Lasso in attributes, so another very nice midfielder. And to complete the midfield trifecta, Jhon Jairo Giraldo 23c, the more attacking one. 17. I've used ScreenToGIF and then uploaded to imgur, but I know others are using OBS or other capture programs. Both of those are free, so I'd suggest try both and see which fits you best. There are probably a lot of programs you can pay for as well, but not sure that's worth it to create some small FM clips...
  18. Yeah, I don't know if it's how it works in real life, it just looked a bit strange to have 2 matches a month for a few months, and then have a massive congestion later on, so thought I'd mention. Still enjoying the database a lot!
  19. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2022 - Curaçao Terser Division Squad | Transfers | Finances Colombians in Curaçao, why not? This club is really right up my alley of clubs! I don't have a logo on the top here, since I can't for the life of me find that they actually have one. So I found that lovely image of a Curaçaoan and Colombia flags together to use to illustrate what I'm doing here. Anyway, they season went really well for a long time, and we won the league by some distance, but we almost lost it in the promotion playoff towards the end. Buena Vista almost caught us up, but we are going up on goal difference! Btw, @V50, the schedule is a bit strange here, with almost no matches towards the end of the normal league, and then 10 matches in about a month in the promotion stage. Don't know if this is the real deal or not, but matches every other day is hard on the squad! Youth intake: Lots of talent, but it's not easy to spot who is the real talent this low down. A model citizen is always a standout, and his attributes are quite well rounded for a deeper role. Trophy cabinet Curaçao Terser Division - 1 (2022)
  20. Also, I forgot to add, the club finished bottom of the 3rd tier in the holiday season, so I have a long way to go before we get into any sort of continental football.
  21. So, thanks to @V50 and his Caribbean pack, I got tempted. I had a look through and found a perfect team, I think. Where do I go? To Curaçao of course! In real life I had a plan to go visit there (along a few other island nations in the Caribbean), but then covid hit and the plans went up in smoke. So at least I can visit here! Now, why Curaçao in game? Well, I found a club. And when I write that, most of you who usually read my updates know there is something special, and it is. I've taken over this club: So, what's so special about Astros de Colombia? Well, a team in Curaçao that produces Colombia newgens is right up my alley! Now, as far as I can tell, it's going to be quite hard to win the CONCACAF Champions League, as I need to first win the league (obviously), and then qualify for the CFU Club Championship alongside other island nations. If I do well (win?) there, I can get into the CONCACAF Champions League the following season! Let's just hope I get some of that Colombian talent!
