  1. Yeah, I don't know if it's how it works in real life, it just looked a bit strange to have 2 matches a month for a few months, and then have a massive congestion later on, so thought I'd mention. Still enjoying the database a lot!
  2. XaW - Astros de Colombia - Season 2022 - Curaçao Terser Division Squad | Transfers | Finances Colombians in Curaçao, why not? This club is really right up my alley of clubs! I don't have a logo on the top here, since I can't for the life of me find that they actually have one. So I found that lovely image of a Curaçaoan and Colombia flags together to use to illustrate what I'm doing here. Anyway, they season went really well for a long time, and we won the league by some distance, but we almost lost it in the promotion playoff towards the end. Buena Vista almost caught us up, but we are going up on goal difference! Btw, @V50, the schedule is a bit strange here, with almost no matches towards the end of the normal league, and then 10 matches in about a month in the promotion stage. Don't know if this is the real deal or not, but matches every other day is hard on the squad! Youth intake: Lots of talent, but it's not easy to spot who is the real talent this low down. A model citizen is always a standout, and his attributes are quite well rounded for a deeper role. Trophy cabinet Curaçao Terser Division - 1 (2022)
  3. Also, I forgot to add, the club finished bottom of the 3rd tier in the holiday season, so I have a long way to go before we get into any sort of continental football.
  4. So, thanks to @V50 and his Caribbean pack, I got tempted. I had a look through and found a perfect team, I think. Where do I go? To Curaçao of course! In real life I had a plan to go visit there (along a few other island nations in the Caribbean), but then covid hit and the plans went up in smoke. So at least I can visit here! Now, why Curaçao in game? Well, I found a club. And when I write that, most of you who usually read my updates know there is something special, and it is. I've taken over this club: So, what's so special about Astros de Colombia? Well, a team in Curaçao that produces Colombia newgens is right up my alley! Now, as far as I can tell, it's going to be quite hard to win the CONCACAF Champions League, as I need to first win the league (obviously), and then qualify for the CFU Club Championship alongside other island nations. If I do well (win?) there, I can get into the CONCACAF Champions League the following season! Let's just hope I get some of that Colombian talent!
  5. I'm not quite sure what you are asking here. I understand it has something to do with winger being too narrow or too wide, but I can't really get the meaning. Can you clarify, please?
  6. Well, that's the name of the game for this challenge! I've lost count how many times I've been fired/relegated/lost interest now. But some times, you find that club that fits, and you get in a few good players, and the whole thing starts to work. And when it does, nothing beats it!
  7. Found a few more in your database: Haitian Union Klop (Curaçao) - Haiti Haitian Stars (VBG) (British Virgin Islands) - Haiti Astros de Colombia (Curaçao) - Colombia Haitian Angles (Dominica) - Haiti Golden Star de Fort-de-France (Guadeloupe) - Martinique Reggae Lions (Sint Maarten) - Jamaica NAGICO Funmakers (Sint Maarten) - Suriname (Some slight preference at least) Haitian Victory (US Virgin Islands) - Haiti
  8. Well, hard is the name of the game with this challenge, so that's not the issue. Are the option to go semi/professional for all leagues and clubs, or are there some always amateur setups?
  9. If I complete/fail England I might take a close look at those leagues! Imagine it will be quite hard to win the CONCACAF CL with any Caribbean team!
  10. They just got relegated from the PL. Thanks, but no thanks!
  11. XaW - Dorchester Town - Season 2023/24 - Vanarama National League South Squad | Transfers | Finances After the splendid season last year, it was simply a case of hoping for the same. We did get off to a pretty poor start though as we failed to win in any of our first 3 matches. As it turns out, we had a very hard start since all the 3 teams finished in the playoff spots. From then on though, we started to pick up a lot of wins, and after a while we were in a 3 horse race to win the league along Torquay United and Havant & Waterlooville. I kept the same general tactic rolling, with some slight in match tweaks to fit the ebb and flow of the game, but in general I think the tactic is working wonders. Finishing to when you are predicted bottom is always a nice indicator of something that works. We did have a few bumps along the season though, like a very strange 1-5 loss to Dover Athletic when we won on xG. Still, most games went vastly better, and eventually we won the title and secured promotion! I'm excited to see how the tactics work against better sides. FA Cup: We beat Paulton Rovers, Hornchurch, and Margate before we lost to Burton Albion in the 1st round. FA Trophy: We beat Margate and Dorking before we lost to Ebbsfleet United in the 4th round. U23 Team: Only friendlies. U19 Team: In the National U18 League South West they finished 3rd, a good step up from last season. FA Youth Cup: They beat Basildon and Ashford United before losing to Aldershot Town in the 3rd qualifying round. Youth intake: A solid intake with one standout player. A playmaker if I ever saw one! I use mine on the left wing, so I will teach Joe Monks 24b to play there. Trophy cabinet Vanarama National League South - 1 (2023/24)
  12. If Google translate doesn't let me down, you are wondering about the B team and league play? They play in the lower league in real life I think, and if they are below the playable leagues in the game then you have to hope the get promoted.
  13. Continental competitions only (for all teams from the nation), if I recall correctly.
  14. Yes, it's based on the coefficient. If you head to World-> Europe and look at the coefficient and qualification places you can see it there.
  15. I had this one a while back... That said, I've been on both sides of it. Painful when it happens, but amazing when it goes the right way!
  16. Yes, they have hardcoded newgens from Cape Verde, all the clubs in this thread has the same.
  17. A sudden though, he could be a really good inverted wing back, if he is set into a tactic that uses that role.
  18. I don't rate him as a centre half or a wing back at all, personally. Though I would love to use him in the DM strata, especially as my favoured tactic uses a half back, and he seems to fit that role perfectly.
  19. Yes, you can head into preferences and down in the bottom right there is a button called "Reset", if you click it you can reset various things, one of those are the confirmation dialogs.
  20. XaW - Dorchester Town - Season 2022/23 - Vanarama National League South Squad | Transfers | Finances Well, I'm back in England, and I'm enjoying life here. I had a bit of play with tactics before I got here, and I found something that I think works. It's very close to what I've used before, but it has some tweaks, including an inverted wing back and some other good stuff. And looking at how it went, I'm clearly onto something. With a small squad where I couldn't even fill out the 5 subs for any matches, I thought it would be a much tougher season that what actually happened. We started great winning 7 of the first 10, and being far above the predicted 24th that the media had us as favourites for. Other than a small dip in December, we had a very good season overall, and eventually a playoff spot was confirmed. When the intake came along it helped a lot as I could actually rest some players at times, even if not all of the youngsters are top level. In the end we finished in a very solid 4th spot and of course had a chance at promotion through the playoffs. In the first round we faced Havant & Waterlooville, and it was a tough match that finished 0-0 at full time so it went into extra time. There we finally broke the deadlock and saw the game off from there. In the semi final we got Barnet, a team we had struggled with during the meetings this season. They got an early lead, and we just didn't find our mojo. We hit the bar just before the end, but we really struggled to create chances, and they deserved the win. Still an excellent season for us. Tactically, I think we are doing something great and with the fewest goals conceded in the league, I'm especially happy with how we defend. FA Cup: We beat Beaconsfield and Berkhamsted before we lost to Bromley in the 4th qualifying round. FA Trophy: We beat East Thurrock United, Cheshunt, Bradford PA, and Alfreton Town before losing to Woking in the quarter final. U23 Team: Only friendlies. U19 Team: In the National U18 League South West they finished 13th. FA Youth Cup: They lost to Chertsey in the 1st qualifying round. Youth intake: A pretty good intake, with some good talents. Josh Fraser 23a is a very well rounded midfielder that will be part of the main squad right away. Thierry Moke 23b is a more attacking player, but can play both centrally and out wide. Trophy cabinet None
  21. I think it only shows for those countries where the B/C/etc teams actually play in the league system proper, like in Spain and Germany for example.
  22. It depends on what you mean by "best". I don't think any older FM are anywhere near better than the current one. However, that doesn't mean it might be the most enjoyable or memorable. I still remember a lot of my saves from way back in CM2 with lots of fondness and nostalgia. As for newer versions, FM19 holds a special place in my heart since in that version I completed the youth challenge and won the CL with Kettering without every buying a player, but to top it all of my in-game son were part of the team that won both the CL and PL for me. Those are the stories that you remember, no matter how objectively good the game is. Enjoyment ≠ quality
