Remember that Manchester United are heavily in debt (About 1B) irl so this is reflected in the game. You'll get a message saying they have to start repaying loans. I believe this is where most of your loses have come from.

I've noticed that if you move your tactics from FM23 to the new game only some of them will work and dont even show up in your tactics lists.

Baresi and Cannavaro were legendary. I loved watching them play when Italian football was on the tv in the 90's.

They've probably been listening to all these 'expert' tv pundits that played the game in the 80's and 90's who think he's crap because he isnt 6 foot plus.

Last night I just finished my first season at United and I won the league, Both cups and the Europa League and I used one tactic which I made from scratch the entire season. Lost 1 game all season(away at City) and Ronaldo went to score 59 goals in all competitions 10/10 for difficulty level and realism.
The highlight for me was a game against Crystal Palace which I won 6-0. I was leading 2-0 and Casemiro was sent off in the 37 minute and I managed to score 4 more goals after that. Absolute joke.
I've been playing the game since it was called championship manager but I have to say i think this years game is harder or i'm doing something really stupid and obvious but apart from the fact that Christiano Ronalo is a goal scoring machine at 38 my side are awful and I mean awful. At one point i was 17th :o although my form did improve a bit I am still only 9th and about to get the sack.

For me Ronaldo was immense in last years game scoring over 40 goals in all competitions. If anything he's been nerfed a bit for this beta but he's probably still too good considering his age and real life unhappiness which I'm guessing will be tweaked a bit before full release.

I'd have to agree. For a player that wants to leave and considering his age he is still a goal scoring machine. In my game I didn't sell him like a lot of people are doing and he scored 36 goals in all competitions including 24 in the league.

How is everyone finding Casemiro? I think he is a bit reckless and a thug. Only 18 games in and he's already been suspended three times. Twice for collecting 10 yellow cards and once for a straight red. I'm playing him as a BWM. Is that the problem?

I actually managed to move both Fred and AWB on. Brought in Denzil Dumfries who Man United are apparently interested in irl and a kid that a lot of people on youtube and a few people in here that have been suggesting called Andreas Schjelderup.

Forgot to disable the 1st transfer window. Only had £20.6m to spend which is pathetic. I did manage to sell Fred and AWB for a combined £40m so getting rid of players you don't want seems a bit easier in this version of the game.

I've been playing the game for years even going back to when it was called Championship Manager but I've always been a PC only user but I bought myself an Xbox series x the other week so I might just have to give the console version a go.

Release - My usual MAN U save
First Patch - Either MLS or Lower League (Depending if MLS has fixes)
Last patch - Long-term save with maxed database
I normally start the beta as Man United but not really seriously and I wait until the full release to do it properly as a new save. I also turn off transfers in the first window for some more added realism. Later on I'll go to Italy and manage AC Milan who I've always liked.

I signed Pau Torres in the January window as Varanes new partner and am trying to get rid of Harry. Went on a crazy winning streak in January only loosing one league game. I won the league,league cup &FA cup. Got knocked out of the champions league at the semi final stage. not bad for season 1. Ive also been playing Donny regularly

I'm a bit surprised by the budgets given. The new manager irl has been promised £100m to spend in January according to various sources. £30m is not enough. FM have got this wrong. Just as well I downloaded the in game editor although ive not changed anything yet since I have the first window disabled

I'm also having issues with the in game editor. The pencil is there but the editor just doesnt work at all. The option to edit club details is blacked out and I cant move players to other clubs because the editor cant find any. Can I reinstall the editor without having to pay for it again?

In my game both Hojland and Rashford have formed a good partnership. They've scored 16 goals each going into the transfer window. One thing I've noticed that I dont especially like is that Rashford is always moaning. Its got to the point that i'm considering selling him. The only thing thats stopping me is the fact it would probably cause a riot in the dressing room and the board would probably block it.
