  1. Playing as St Pats and managed to win the Premier Division in the 2020 season. The league season ended on 30/10/2020 and we also had a Wafer Cup Qtr final that was played on 14/11/2020. My Squad then went on the end of season break after this game. However we were then drawn to play Glenavon in the All Ireland Championship on 25/11/2020 & 28/11/2020. I got the option to set training for this week and was under the impression my players would return for these matches. They never did and I was forced to play with 18 greyed out players against Glenavon with no option to recall my squad. After the 2nd leg of the Glenavon game I got the end of season break message again. Anyone else experienced this? I am now thinking is this also going to be an issue further down the line if I manage to qualify for any European group games!
  2. Same thing happening in my game (Semi Pro Level). Any fix yet? Ruining a good save.
  3. Accrington Stanley 2019/2020 - The Run In Last Update I has taken charge at Accrington Stanley with 7 games to go with the dream of a late play-off push. Sadly this dream was over pretty quickly as we failed to win in our first 4 games and ended the season with a bit of a whimper. We finished the season in 10th and looking at the entire season surely would be classed as a major success for a relegation candidate but given the position the club was when we arrived it was a rather disappointing finish. There looks to be a a good opportunity in the summer with with 15 first team players out of contract. So looking forward to a bit of wheeling and dealing. I have also decided to impose a bit of a Home Nations rules where basically we can only sign players from the Home Nations. Also during a season review I noticed we actually also have the smallest wage budget in the league which really does emphasize how much John Coleman had this team punching above their weight. Looking forward to next season where I imagine the boards expectation would be high. We have been given a 500k Transfer Budget but the wage budget has actually been reduced by 5k lol!
  4. Had taken a break from EFL teams the last few FM's but thought with all the spare time at present id try to get back into the swing of the lower leagues. Spent the last few days reading the EFL thread and must say every entertaining Anyway to get back into EFL I decided to holiday 200 days into the season an take the most interesting job that appeared in the Job Centre at this point... As seen above my choices where thread bare. League One sides Accrington & Sunderland the only positions available. Surprisingly Sunderland where languishing in 15th with Accrington somehow in 9th 5 points off the playoffs The lure of a play-off hunt in the running up proved to much so I packed my bags and headed for the Wham Stadium. Upon arrival and looking at the squad I was scratching my head as to how John Coleman had quite managed to turn this bunch of players from relegation candidates to play-off chasers. Quite the achievement and it was no surprise he was snapped up by championship outfit Hull City. 7 games to go... 5 points behind Blackpool in 6th spot! Certainly makes for an interesting start to life in the Accrington hot seat. As the saying goes if its not broke don't fix it so I certainly wont be differing to much from the 442 John Coleman had this squad playing. More updates to follow.... Anyway good to be back posting again and excited about an EFL challenge.
  5. Hey, just noticed this issues myself did you ever find an resolution for this? Very annoying as I usually like to reward my top performing players from my development team with cup games but I now can not view their statistics.
  6. I have just became a national team manager of Belgium along side my club job. The problem I am having is that now when in the Player Search screen my view has completely changed. Basically I can no longer see a players value so am unable to sort by value in the player search. I have tired to customise the overview tab to include value etc but it doesn't let me put in any additional information and is saying it is locked. For testing purposes i saved the game and resigned as the Belgium manger and the player search overview view returns to what it was before taking the Belgium Job. This has really thrown me off as a big part of my club scouting was searching for the highest valued players that were interested in loans/transfers. I have attached screen shots of both the old and new player search views. New player search overview tab: Old overview tab before taking a national job: Anyone any ideas how to fix this issue and get my old view back cheers.
  7. Mansfield Town Update So i have manged to complete season 2 of my Mansfield town save.....We are going up say we are going up! As you can see we managed to finish in the final automatic promotion spot in league two and go one better than we managed last year. It was a pretty similar season in fairness with the Rose and Green partnership to the fore again as we finished the leagues top scorers with 101 goals. Danny Rose was in outstanding form all year which saw him pick up League 2 player of the year and top goal scorer award. The big difference this year to help us get over the line was that we had 4 strikers who could and where all scoring goals at different parts of the season. As mentioned Danny Rose stole the show but was assisted very well by the rest of your strikers and I am growing a soft spot for our young Northern Irish striker Conal Morgan who is improving with every game. Mackail-Smith was brought in more for tutoring purposes had a great effect on our young strikers. Cup wise we made a vast improvement this year than the previous year with a great FA CUP run which as previously posted saw us knock out Man CIty after a reply and helped to generated some much need money for the club. Overall the season was a great success and we seem to have an 'we will score more than you' identify about the club club now, which am not sure how will work further up the leagues. Again over the break we will try and hold on to our key players and also look to add some quality where we can. The finances have been improved slightly by the FA cup run but still the transfer & wage budgets don't look up to much so there will have to be some wheeling and dealing done.
  8. Mansfield Town Update Its been a fairly busy off season at Mansfield with quite a big turn over. It started out with the board reducing our wage budget from the previous season. This meant that all my fringe players that where out of contract had to leave the club and with not much wage budget left or transfer funds i found myself filling the squad up with youngsters who had been released by some big clubs. Our two loan stars from last year (Callum Roberts and centre back Lacovitti) also rejected the chance of another season at Field Mill which was a big blow. Thankfully i did managed to hold on to all of my big players from the previous season which was one positive. As mentioned we where very restricted in terms of finance to try an improve the squad and had to go for a scatter gun approach on a lot of young prospects that had been released by teams further up the football pyramid. I would have liked to add some more experienced players to the squad but finances simply wouldn't allow me to do so. Although i am quite happy with some of the talent we have been able to hover up and feel that we have now quite a few very high potential players that will get game time at this level. I am very excited about 17 year old Conal Morgan who my scouts found in the 2nd tier of Northern Ireland and i feel he can come straight into the first team squad an offer some competition to the rose/green partnership. Looking at the season ahead we are predicted to finish mid table and the board are expecting mid table but i do hold hopes of at least reaching the level we did last year. Although i am still searching the market for some defensive upgrades as so far we have missed the boat on a few of our targets in this area.
  9. Mansfield Town Update Our good goal scoring form had continued from my last update and had actually fired us into the title race with 3/4 games to go. Unfortunately we finished the season on a poor run that saw us fail to win any of our remaining fixtures. In fact we where lucky results elsewhere went our way on the last game of the season as we only just about managed to hang on to 7th place and sneak into the playoffs. We would have without a doubt taken 7th at the start of the year but after being in the title hunt with a few game to go it was a bitterly disappointing to finish with a whimper. Anyway it was on to the playoffs we went to face a very good Wycombe side, although he had already done the double over them home an away this season so we fancied our chances. Ultimately the tie was over as a contest after the first leg. We where embarrassed at home by one of the best counter attacking displays i have ever seen. 5-1 down after the first leg at home basically signalled the end of our season and although we went to Wycombe and produced a gusty display the damage from the first leg was just too big a task to overcome. Overall it was a very productive season despite the playoff semi final defeat. We played a standard 442 throughout the season switching between an attacking and counter versions depending on the opposition. we ended the league campaign the high scorers in the division with 91 goals. It was at the other end of the pitch that let us down with us conceding 65 and this is the area we must strive to improve next year as well as maintaining our attacking swagger if we are to have a successful campaign. Player wise we dominated the the awards with Mansfield favorite Matt Green picking up top scorer and the player of the year award. His striker partner Danny Rose pushed him all the way for both awards and along with on loan winger callum Roberts joined Green on the League 2 team of the year. Going forward our aim is to keep the squad together along with trying to get some of our impressive loan signings back again for another year. If we can do this as well as add 1 or 2 more players I think we will be in a strong position to push on next year. The only worry is the club finances and with a proposed reduction in the available wage budget I may face a fight to keep hold of my star men if they start to attract attention.
  10. Started a new save with Mansfield in League 2. Media prediction was 18th at the start of the season which appealed to me as a challenge and would give me the a chance to grow into the game rather than be under pressure for a promotion from the get go. I was quite surprised with quality i found in the starting squad and i seemed to be well covered in most areas. As a result i have been fairly quiet in the transfer market so far. I have got too the first week in February so far and we are performing well above the expectations in what is proving to be a very competitive league that is very congested. We are 29 games into the league and we lay just out side the playoff spots. Cup wise we have been fairly poor and suffered a swift exit in all competitions. Which in hindsight has probably helped my league form. My biggest disappointed was the 1st round loss to my big rivals Notts County because who doesnt love a good FA fairy tale? The standout players so far has been by far my front 2 of Matt Green and Danny Rose who have formed a great partnership scoring 40 goals between them so far!! Only negative is Matt Green has now picked up an injury and will be out for 4 weeks so it will be interesting to see if we can keep the up the same form without him and if the ever green Darius Henderson can fill the void. All in all i am really enjoying the save and hope we can maintain our goal scoring form in the season run in and finish as high up the table as we can. The only negative is the finances don't look to great at the moment with a balance of 300k in the red and only getting worse!!
  11. Swindon Town Update Following on from my first post i have had a very busy first couple of months at the County Ground. After the sale of my star man to Premier League Norwich we are backed with a healthy transfer kitty for this level to put my own stamp on the the squad. Here is the players who departed the club. With the only big news coming with Kasim leaving for Norwich for 2.3 Million potentially rising too 3.1 Million. This left us with quite a transfer kitty to add much needed quality to the squad. We managed to strengthen all the areas needed and just hope that the players can settle into the Swindon way pretty soon. Results wise we have started with a very much mixed bag of performances. Am hoping that our new look squad can gel quickly and we can get some consistency in our performances. This run of results see use just hovering outside the relegation zone with 5 games played. The boards expectation this year is only to avoid relegation which should easily achievable if my new signings click. We also exit the Capital One Cup at the hands of Premier League Stoke. We haven't exactly started on fire but i am more than confident once we get a settled side and familiar with the newly implemented system our results will pick up.
  12. York City Update Currently enjoying a really good save with York City. Still in the first season an we are in the mix coming to the business end of the season. With 7 games to go we are currently 5th in the table with a game in hand. We have really over achieved this year with the aim really a mid table finish while building a young hard working squad that could grow an be competitive over the next number of years. However if we are to be playing our football in League 1 next season we will really have to do it the hard way. In our next 5 fixtures we take on the top 4 teams in the division. The only positive is that 4 of the games are at Bootham Crescent which should see bumper crowds as we take on the big boys in the division in a battle for league 1 football. Cup wise we had early exits in both the JPT and Capital One Cup however we fared slightly better in the FA cup reaching the 3rd Round losing out to Bristol City who where flying high in the championship at the time. We have had quite a few big performers this season but the stand out men have come from my front 3 of Carson, McEvoy and on loan teenage goal machine Bradley Fewster. McEvoy's contract is expiring in the the summer and no matter how many times i try he is refusing to sign! am hoping that if we go up he will put pen to paper...just maybe. Fewsters on contract with parent club Boro is also up in the summer so i will be pushing the boat out to bring my goal machine next year. Bradley Fewster Stats: Kenneth McEvoy Stats: Going to finish out the season an will then have another update. We have some massive games coming up and hopefully we can continue to perform at the level we have all season in these high pressure matches.
  13. Just kicked off my New save with the winter update after a long Walsall save. Went for Swindon town this time as i always seem to struggle against them Anyway after a quick look at my available squad i noticed close to no players capable of playing on the wings which is a must for any club i have managed in the past. I had decided that it would take too much of an overhaul to address this in full in the first window an with 4 long term loan players on the books it was close to impossible on a 150k Transfer budget. So the decision was made to go with a narrow diamond to get the best out of the clubs best players. However a few weeks into pre-season i have received a massive offer of 2.3 Million rising to 3.1 for my midfield star Yaser Kasim. Now with 75% transfer revenue retained this would be more than enough to get in the much needed quality in the wide areas. Kasim only has 1 year to run on his current deal and at present i currently don't have the demands to meet his demands for a new contract. Have no idea what way to go on this atm currently scouting to see what replacements and squad upgrades are available should i decide to cash in. Thoughts?
