Not sure if it's typical Simeone but you may be missing some penetration from midfield to support your F9. Do you want both wingbacks on attack? I think support is fine, also for your DLP. Then you get something like this:

Considering I've been champions twice in a row, teams tend to sit back more against me and in turn, I find it harder to break them down. On top of that, I had a lot of problems with losing possession and then being countered, which is somewhat better in this setup. Looks pretty balanced. Only changes I would make is IWBat > WBat and maybe up the mentality to positive.

Hello Knap,

All 4231dm tactics look very similar in terms of roles. Would you like to make some more variations? It doesn't matter to me if the tactics generally perform less well. Think of:

BWM - DLP
IW - AM - IF

or

VOL - RPM
W - AM - IF

etc.

It's a bit like how City defends with Stones. With the new rotations you get the field occupancy you want.

Only the rest of the attacking roles will be a matter of experimenting and seeing what suits the players

To create this formation, I think you will first have to start with a back four.

I think the right and left back should be IFBde and the DM a Libero on support.

Set-up looks fine. The player roles and instructions are a good match, but don't really match the lower defensive line so I would just use standard if I were you.

I think your set-up is pretty decent, some little adjustments could make the difference

Trent > IWBsu
Robertson > WBat
Diaz > IFsu

+ shorter passing
+ run at defence
+ distribute quickly

Also, is Thiago performing? Otherwise I would use a 'strong' DM there and play him just as a DMsu

I'm not sure if it's a skin issue, but I often have to right-click > auto size all columns in the squad and tactics screen again so that my view is clearly visible again.

Can I also do something about it, so that I don't have to do it manually every time?

Would you recommend changing the roles of the midfield? I think Mezzala in attack and IW kind of collide in the field when attacking

DLP-BBM-MEZ is probably also my favourite midfield-trio, but both the BBM and MEZ do roam so when you need to be more 'compact' you could consider BWMsu and CMat.

MEZat and IWsu is no problem, but if you change MEZ to CM you might consider Wsu or IFsu on AML (Wsu if you need width).

WBat is extremely attacking, be careful with that. Good luck

If you want to counter, it also works well to use a lower line of engagement in combination with more urgent pressing, higher tempo and hit early crosses.
