  1. Iwata should be closer to Maeda's Pace/Acceleration, because he clocked a top speed in Japan which was faster than Maeda's. I understand Iwata may have gotten rusty because he hasn't played much, but he is provenly quicker than what the beta attributes say. https://keepup.com.au/news/what-can-celtic-fans-expect-from-j1-league-mvp-tomoki-iwata/ Also, Tilio is an Inverted Winger/inside Forward on the right, but in the beta, he is completely ineffectual on the right side of the attack.
  2. So, everything is sped up, and made more sensible? Finally. I wish it had been prioritized in the previous 2 games, but I'll stop complaining, and declare that I'll be having myself a pre-ordered copy. It would take me ages to get into a save because of having to do set pieces for every side, defensive and offensive- so many indirect set piece variants... and now, it can be much quicker. I will be much more eager to pick up a save, even if my tactics ruin every attempt.
  3. J-League is in the upcoming game? Well, unless the set piece overhaul is so minor I get angry, I'll buy my first FM since 21. I do hope the set pieces will be player-oriented instead of focusing on the position in a formation- that's the kind of overhaul set pieces have needed.
  4. When playing more cautiously, conceding too many set pieces is the problem. At the same time, I cannot create enough chances. If I try playing more offensively, I get beaten by through balls. The tactic, as it is, was fine at home against Chelsea.
  5. I did try playing on Cautious and Balanced, with a lower block. I give away too many corners and free kicks. I do not use Get Stuck In- only Hojbjerg might have Tackle Harder.
  6. I've been trying to figure out a good away approach for games against top EPL clubs with Tottenham, but no matter what I try, I cannot at least be competitive in an away tie against Arsenal, at the start of the season. If I want to have some success. I've had issues defending set pieces, and even after adjustments, I've had issues there. This is why I've tried my usual set-up. I'm aware that a high D-Line or a high press are even riskier. This screenshot is before the first game of the season, which I most often win because I'm the home side. Is there a tactical solution to help me perform better when away from home, or is the problem in my players? Due to the need to mind the number of homegrown players at the club, and the price tags of players that would improve the team, I am pretty much using a squad that hasn't seen any fresh faces.
  7. I'd make a case for Maeda being fairly two-footed as well. His technique has improved, and he is able to send rather useful crosses with his left foot.
  8. 6/10. Human rights scandals, the dull atmosphere...but there were great upsets in the group stages. Knockouts were not as enjoyable, and the refereeing was so weird that I ended up believing in conspiracies. If it wasn't for Japan and Korea in the group stages and Croatia stunning Brazil, it would be a 2.
  9. Perišić should be with a question mark. Modrić played at age 37, and Perišić might be able to do the same, if he switches to playing a striker. Currently Croatia has massive issues with that position.
  10. Bigger loss for France than Mbappe would be, considering the opponent. I guess Thuram has to play the target man?
  11. Guy's a necromancer- that's why the team pulled all those comebacks. I have no idea how long can he play, but nothing would surprise me.
  12. In old PES/ISS games, legendary World Cup winning teams had special adjectives describing them. Like Beloved Brazil, Heroic England etc. It's such a shame Croatia only reached silver as their best result. I wonder what adjective would fit them best.
  13. The opposite. The midfield will struggle, but hoofball out to Perišić might work.
  14. Will be scoreless until some subs are made. I'm predicting another shootout.
  15. Morocco are the last team France would like to face, but they have to. Giroud will have to be immense in order for France to avoid the fate of other giants. Croatia have a better defense than Argentina, but the Argentinian GK is a penalty shootout asset. My homeland might want to win in 90 minutes, if possible. A homemade recipe for nullifying Messi exists. Morocco-Croatia final match.
  16. TBH, it could be COVID. The organizers wouldn't want COVID panic over an outbreak, or stringent measures, since the WC is already unpopular.
  17. I thought Morocco missing 2 important defenders couldn't handle Ramos. Boy, what a bad prediction. A defense better than Croatia's.
  18. I mean, it's easy to use a 4-1-1-4 formation against teams that don't defend well. They obviously thought we were worse at defending than Switzerland? Well, back to the waiting list for a 6th title for Brazil it is.
  19. I thought we'd need to pull a V-ACT (Crimson Head). But we came with a ****ing Tyrant! We're no more the Fiery ones. We are The Checkered Zombies! Unkillable!!! The necromancer cast a spell, and a big zombie smashed off the head of Brazil. Someone please make a GIF of a zombie getting up after being shot, and tearing apart a cop.
  20. Croatia need to hold on for 90 minutes, and Brazil will panic, knowing what's coming. A tough ask, but I'm expecting the parking of the 4th Guards Brigade in front of the goal, let alone a mere bus.
  21. France in the League of Nations can be a template for parking the bus.
  22. Croatia activated their zombie mode once again. Cannot put us away, we just won't die. And Livaković outdoes Subašić. Maeda getting Japan's goal is nice. Hopefully he gets confidence for Celtic. IMO, the best defensive forward in the world. Paralyzed Croatia's build-up. Japan have lost, but their tactics were decent, and forcing the runners up of the last WC into penalties is proof they belong in the upper tiers of world football. As a secondary Japan fan (rooted for them until this one), I'm gutted my homeland had to face them this early.
  23. Finishing 3rd might do it? I know winning the Asian Cup counts, and Olympic medals in football.
  24. My Korean class tomorrow morning will be so special. I feel as proud as a full-blooded Korean!
  25. Japan are showing why I love fotball. Not enough technique or strength to rule games, but their guts... I've watched all 3 of their games, like I've done before on WC-s. Feeling of a Japanese assault on a big team is...mind-blowing. I won't be mad if they knock my homeland out. Moriyasu is a living legend, no matter what happens now. With a dead tired Modrić and Perišić, I could see a third giant crashing down.
