  1. Yeah it's not much different to how he currently is on my save...
  2. I'm managing Man City and just started the 2032/33 season. Erling Haaland is now 32, but still scoring 50+ Goals in all competitions every season. Just can't decide how long to keep him for? His Natural Fitness is 19 which usually indicates how long a player can stay at the top level for, right? Easy to say "Yeah, keep him" but I have 2 or 3 very very very good young strikers but I need to either play them, or let them go as they are going to start getting frustrated. I also picked up Endrick for £40m aged 25 and I really want to start playing him regularly too, but literally can't drop Haaland. Has anybody got to around season 2035 who can let me know how good he is? I don't want to sell my wonderkids and then his ability nosedives and I'm left with no world class strikers - but also don't want to let him go if I can get another 3 or 4 seasons out of him in his prime! He has 12 months left on his contract too, so need to decide whether to renew it before I get to January - otherwise one of the Saudi Clubs who are interested in him will offer him a mega contract, and it'll be out of my hands!
  3. I'm managing Man City, and got him on a free He's really good, and happy to play back-up to Haaland. Scores 15-20 goals a season from the bench/early cup rounds.
  4. Do I need him? No Do I want him? Yes Am I having him? Yes £51m Minimum Fee Release Clause - be rude not to!
  5. But, I don't have the tactic with me to put in the Tactic Download section - and somebody would have moaned about that too... Either way - there is no right or wrong way to play the game, and some will find this way fun. So, I was sharing with those who are interested.
  6. Hello I'm at work at the moment, so can't share screenshots etc. at present - though I can later if you'd like. However, I downloaded a tactic from the Community Tab on Steam - and there is a 4-3-3 Tactic called 'Goals! Goals! Goals!' which I'm using - and it's absolutely fantastic. Reminds me of Kevin Keegan's Newcastle in so much as, "we'll just score more than you" approach! I'm managing Stockport County in League Two, and I'm currently on a 10-match winning streak (having knocked out both Luton Town (Premier League) and Sheffield Wednesday (Championship) in the League Cup - Spurs at home next in the 4th Round), and I've won every League game and Papa Johns Trophy game, apart from one (randomly lost 2-0 v Walsall - but this was the first game using the tactic so I guess familiarity wasn't there). The best part of it, as the Tactic name suggests, is the amount of goals we score. 3+ in most games, and been a few 6's and a 7 already. We sometimes concede 1-2 per game, but still come out on top. I'd highly recommend this tactic - and I'll add it to this thread to download later if anybody wants it. If you want to go find it yourself, it is on the Community Tab on Steam, Filter 'Tactics', and it's called Goals! Goals! Goals! - I think there is a picture of Klopp on the thumbnail. Side note: If you're managing a League Two side with a reasonable wage budget, I'd also recommend signing Salomon Kalou (ex-Chelsea winger). He's 37 but you can get him on a Free Transfer, wages are around £2k per week, and can still do a job on either wing or up-front!
  7. Thanks for letting me know. That is going to be the worst month of the year!!
  8. God, I hope not. International Breaks are bad enough - but having them for a month...!!!
  9. The last two seasons has seen a months break in fixtures from mid-September to mid-October. Is this something that has been announced by the Premier League, and I've missed it!?
  10. Hello Managing Manchester City, and in Season 4. Having a few issues with keeping the rotation/back up players happy - and is having a knock-on effect come the end of the season. I have a very strong starting 11, and then in every position 2 or 3 back up players - either players who were brought in as back up and in their mid/late-20's, or youngsters with high potential who I am introducing to First Team football gradually. The problem is, by January a lot of them are unhappy with their playing time and want to go out on loan - and so I'm left with two options: 1) Say no - and they are unhappy, then some of the squad support them and become unhappy themselves 2) Send them out on loan The issue I'm facing - and this is the second consecutive season I've had this issue - is that by end of March/beginning of April time, the players who are left at the club are absolutely exhausted, start picking up injuries and I'm down to the bare bones for the last two months or so of the season. For example, last night I played the Champions League Quarter Final, Second Leg v Atalanta, and my bench was made up entirely of 16/17 year olds from academy because everybody else was injured or out on loan. The starting 11 I did put out are still exhausted from the Premier League game 3 days earlier, and I ended up losing the game 3-0. Fortunately, I won the First Leg 4-0 so I scraped through to the Semi's. How does everybody manage the squad/backup players who get restless and want to go out on loan? Let them go? Or just play hard-ball and tell them they aren't leaving?
  11. Not sure if I should be feeling harshly treated here, or if it just the programming of the game not being able to look at the bigger picture. Here are the details: Managing Man City Completed 3 Seasons Won the PL in first 2 Seasons Not won any other cups, but been competitive in them all (Liverpool are my bogey team in finals, unfortunately and keep beating me) In Third Season I was top of the league from Matchday 7 through to Matchday 37. Going into the final weekend of the season I was on 73 points, Arsenal on 72, Chelsea & Liverpool both on 71. I lost 4-3 against Crystal Palace - Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all won, so I finished 4th. The Board have dragged me in, given me an 'F' Rating for my performance this season and are disappointed that I only challenged for the title. I was top of the league for about 8 months straight, and only dropped to 4th in the last 10 minutes of the season when Palace went ahead! I'm now begging to keep my job, the players are unhappy that I'm not meeting expectations etc. I get it - I did finish 4th, and so I challenged for the title rather than actually winning it. But I feel like the game is programmed to just see "Finished 4th" and not the bigger picture over the season. What do you think?
  12. I had it a few years back where Sheikh Mansour finally got bored of Man City and sold them, and the local businessman who bought them couldn't keep things ticking over - we made huge losses, failed FFP and had points deductions/kicked out of Europe. Just wondering if anybody has ever had - or, if it is even possible to have - more severe punishments, such as relegation to the bottom tier (like Rangers did), or is a points deduction is as bad as it gets?
  13. Honourable mention to Lutsharel Geertruida from Feyenoord though. Not cheap (roughly £70m but most of that in installments - only about £15m paid upfront) but can play CB, RB, RWB, LB, LWB and DM so gets plenty of game time. Also used the new 'Set a Target' when promising squad status during contract negotiations - promised him to be a Regular Starter if his training level was 8.50, and he smashed it!
  14. Jamal Musiala - £107m to Man City. Did I need him? No. Is he as good as I expected him to be? No...he's better!! Retraining him as a Mezzala though, so he can slot in there when KBD leaves - probably at the end of Season 2.
  15. Warren Zaire-Emery is supposed to be one of the best Wonderkids on the game - you've done well to get him, and will do well to keep him too!
  16. Ah fair enough - I hadn't picture it this way. I always imagined a player who cuts inside running horizontally along the edge of the 18-yard box and pinging shots into the top corner like Salah/Bale etc.
  17. Nah - what I mean is, if he's asking him to cut inside then he will be running along the top of the 18-yard box - as if he is running to the other side of the pitch. For him to cross from the byline he would have to stay wide - so it's probably confusing
  18. Sold John Stones last night and the end of Season One (aged 30) - offered £42m up front with a further £40m in installments, and £10m after 50 league appearances. Negotiated to £80m up front, with the same extras, and they agreed immediately. He signed for them on £950k a week!
  19. Although I'm delighted to see Anthony isn't doing well (and hopefully the rest of the United players too) - I would say that the instructions he has are slightly contradictory. You're asking him to cut inside, and cross from the byline - he can't be in two places at once. I'd get rid of all the crossing instructions, the players can work with some level of autonomy and don't need an instruction to be selected for absolutely everything. I'd also take 'Shoot More Often' off, as I'm not sure what his shooting/long shots stats are like but it clearly isn't working. This way, he might be more inclined to look for a pass inside the box to your striker rather than trying to ping one in the from the edge of the box every time. He isn't Salah, I'm afraid. Or, do what @Fraser said and just sell him, and get Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds. 5* Potential on my save, and only cost £15m.
  20. OK - so, update: Last night I tried to renew his contract again and this time (it definitely didn't say this before) it said he was waiting until after the European Championships before considering his options. I waited until after the Euro's (which Poland won ) and he came to the table and negotiated a new contract. Only 12 months (which is City's policy) but since he is a 5* player at 33 years-old (he was only a 4 and a half star player last season, so he's actually improved) it's a no brainer to give him a new contract. So, I guess it wasn't a bug, as such - but it is a little bit buggy that previously it had said that he just had no interest in negotiating but didn't say why! It wasn't until during the Euro's that it came up saying he was waiting until after the tournament finished.
  21. 1) It wasn't a complaint. 2) This is literally the question I asked: "Has anybody else had this with De Bruyne? Or another player where it just doesn't make sense for him to not be interested in renewing?" - I asked this to find out if it's happening a lot with others so I know whether or not it is a bug.
  22. I agree - but to not even want to discuss it. You'd think I've had him training with the reserves all season!
  23. Yeah - they get a bit aggy when you post something that isn't actually a bug though, so was going to see what people thought before doing it. Nothing at all - just says he has absolutely no interest in renewing his contract.
