Still awaiting a decision on the Great North Run. Madness if it gets called off.

It seems a bit odd that for all the people saying what she would have wanted no-one thought to confirm her wishes with her while she was still alive. Would it have been too much for someone to ask if she still wanted planned events to go on as normal or if she preferred for everything to be put on hold until after her funeral?

My son’s football league is due to start tomorrow. Told him this morning it might be called off because the Queen died and he asked ‘why? It’s only football’.

He’s deleted Twitter now.

That’s like an Alan Partridge tweet.

Does this imply he knew the previous one?

I watched the Man Utd match last night and it was all a bit surreal. Could understand not having adverts but then you had a presenter who literally just started the match for each half and there was no half-time analysis or anything. Would it have been too disrespectful to be discussing a team’s performance in this time of national mourning. Not sure who was on commentary but it got really annoying when he kept finding ways to mention the Queen every 5mins. At half time he even described it as an understandably subdued performance from Utd. I didn’t stick around at the full time whistle to see if he blamed the result on the players being too upset to play.

The Great North Run is meant to happen on Sunday. They’ve cancelled the 5k run due tomorrow and are going to assess plans for the weekend.

Does this mean William and George can’t travel together now?

When Diana died we were due to play Liverpool away a kid they had quite a few injuries but the game ended up getting suspended out of respect. We lost the rearranged game.

Yeah they interrupted Live TV which interrupted my post-beers viewing to replace it with hours of footage of a road.
