1. I don't know if it's a bug or if i just don't understand the rules in Uruguay. So in my journeyman save in the year 2022 Club Atlético Peñarol won the Opening Stage, my team (Centro Atlético Fénix) won the closing stage. So normally there should be a final between Penarol and Fenix. But their was first a playoff game between the two teams (Penarol won),. After this game was the final over 2 legs - again with the same 2 teams (i won). So what is the reason behind the game between the end of the league and the final? It looks like this one game didn't matter at all. Penarol got no title for it... Some screenshots attached (from the different league tables and the games and the fixture list).
2. Summary: No player who is offering his services (via the scouting centre) wants to join my club in Hong-Kong for trial training. Important: It's about the players who are offering their services to me. Description of Issue: First of all: I totally understand that most players refuse to go on trial to a small club in Hong-Kong, but the problem is: some of them should. Especially the ones, who are offering their services to me. In my save i get several mails in my scouting center per week from players out of contract or their agents: "i would like to considered as a potential signing" and so on... Since i know nothing about them (attribute masking, bad scouts) i want to take them on trial. On my previous clubs on FM 19 (i was in indonesia before, the club was even smaller) all these players had no problem to train a week on trial. In Hongkong everyone (!!!) of them rejected to go on trial. And i got more than 100 offers from players and every single time the rejected going on trial. So i think that it's maybe a bug, because if an out-of-contract-players offers his services, at least some of them should have no problem with training a week with my team (as long as they have no other options of course). It's totally fine if some of them say, they are established enough in the game that they don't do trials any more, but still: some of them should have no problem, but everyone refuses... Btw: I search for young players from Hong-Kong without a contract, i can take them on trial. It's only a problem with players from other corners of the world who want to join me, who are coming to me. Btw: If I offer them straight a contract, they would join me without a problem. Steps to Reproduce: Start my save, try to offer trials to the players who are offering their services themsevels or via an agent in the scouting centre. 3. @Ed Hewison - My earliest save game, i still have, is from january 2019 (months before the start of the season in april, but after all of promotion and relegation is already decided, but before the new leagues are decided (name is midseasoncontracts.fm - is already on your server because of another bug i reported). Hope that helps If you want i can create another save at the end of the 2019 season in december, so maybe the problem is happening again.
4. In Liga 2 in Indonesia there's the rule: "Maximum of 0 foreign players" for Squad registration. But in my second season, some AI teams have registered and are using foreign players, the prediction list for top player is full of them (because they are so much better than most indonesian players). See screenshots of Player David da Silva for example (his stats are showing that he's used, he has no second nationality). It looks like: All the foreign players are in the relegated teams. Is there some exceptional rule for relegated teams which allows them to use their foreign players for another year (if so, this should be displayed in the rules) or is it a bug?
5. Description of Issue: I am managing in Indonesia where the seasons runs till december. normally contracts should run until december, too. But if i offer new contracts to players (at the club or ones i want to bring in) i can offer them only contracts like in the big european nations till june (see for example first screenshot). I think that's a bug. Because as i started at the club, the existing contracts of the players there already ended in december. And another thing is: Until the 30th of july it's not possible to register new players for the league. so if his contract run out, the player can't get registered for a new club for a whole month (in the middle of the season). If a team looses players who don't want to renew their contract, they can bringt in new players immidately (in the middle of the season). makes no sense. Steps to Reproduce: Try to offer any player (at the club or someone you want to sign) a contract. you can only choose between end dates in June. look at some players already there, normal contract are ending in december (some in march with the end of the first transfer window, too) Files Uploaded to the SI Cloud Service: midseasoncontracts.fm I have no database files installed which could cause this by adding players or something to indonesia...
6. Summary: all the big leagues have a 1 month break (without a reason???) Description of Issue: from mid-march to mid-april i didn't have a single game for 27 days in the Bundesliga. there was no national cup in this time, and it was not a big international break (yes, there were some world cup qualifying games, but only 2 matches at the end of march, not enough for such a long break. I've never seen such a long break during the season in march. I looked around and it seems that the other big leagues had smiliar breaks. Steps to Reproduce: save is uploaded, just look in the schedule, maybe for some other teams, too (see screenshots, too) Files Uploaded to the SI Cloud Service: MarchAprilBreak.fm Thanks for looking into it.
7. On my save: January 2021 and he's still ManCity-Manager.
8. Of course it's not possible to assess the difficulty of the game after just a few seasons, but it's possible to have an impression. And I have the impression, too, that it is a lot easier this year. In my beta save i qualified with SC Freiburg in the bundesliga for the champions league in my second season with a squad which should battle against relegation. And everyone who saw my youth challenges on previous versions of the game should know that i am an average player by best Maybe i am lucky, maybe i found an excellent tactic, but i've the feeling it's a lot easier than on FM18 (or 17, 16...) and i tried a few things on some quick saves with other teams and it seemed too easy, too (especially with good manager stats) So that's my impression (on the other hand i see other people with experience struggling). Mabye in a few weeks after starting my unemployed, sunday-league-footballer with no badges main save i will think otherwise, but i hope that SI looks into this because i can't remember that so many players are thinking that the game is too easy...
9. That depends. if i am fighting for promotion or against relegation or for the euro spots i'll try to play my best players. But if two players are similar i play the one with the higher potential. If i am in mid-table or especially at the end of the season i have nothing to fight for, i try to play as many youngsters with high potential as possible. And at the end: the players need to perform. If a young talent with good enough skills and high potential doesn't play good and makes a lot of mistakes, he goes back to the youth team and needs to prove himself there again. if someone has a string of impressive youth games he gets a chance in the first team.
10. Eléctrico F.C. A long time since I updated this challenge. I took a break from FM, did a few other saves, but I came back and played a lot again in the fast few weeks, so I make one big update post with a lot of seasons: Season 17 – 2033/2034 Squad // League Table (15th) // Transfers What happened? A great cup run. We made it to the final and took big time favourites FC Porto even to extra time. But unfortunately we lost and missed out on our first major trophy and the chance of european football. In the league we had a mediocre season. We were in the bottom half of the table the whole time, but because two teams were so bad, we were safe from relegation all season. Two players from last years intake impressed in the first season in the senior team: André Alberto (YP16b) ]scored a hattrick on his debut – as a central defender. His free kicks are a weapon! And Fernando Rola (YP16a) was promised as one of the best players of his generation and he keeps word. Immediately a starter for my team. Let's hope we can keep him. We moved in our new Stadium a, 16.202 all seater Arena. We improved the youth facilites to excellent and the youth recruitment to above average The Youth Intake No one who sets the world on fire immediately, but a talented bunch, so I hope to get a lot of squad players out of them. Season 18 – 2034/2035 Squad // League Table (16th) // Transfers What happened? The league table looks worse than it was. We were 6th after half of the season, I thought we can to things. But we didn't win a single game after january, so we dropped down the table. Biggest problem: We had no goalscorer. Keeping Fernando Rola (YP16a) was the challenge. Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, all the big guns want him. In January my board accepted an offer from Milan, I successfully remonstrated. To be continued. We improved the training facilites to superb and the youth recruitment to established. The Youth Intake What an intake. A lot of players seems to be first team ready in a short time. Diogo Baixinho (YP18a), Rafael Conchinha (YP18b), [iurl=https://imgur.com/DUwJUAA]Alexandre Freitas (YP18c) and Sergio Vidigal (YP18d) could shape the club for many years. Season 19 – 2035/2036 Squad // League Table (6th) // Transfers What happened? What a season. We played in the second half as good as in the first and we made it up to 6th place. And because Porto won the cup, we will be playing in Europe next season. The Fernando Rola (YP16a) saga is over. In the summer transfer window my board accepted several offers for my first Wonderkid – for example from league rival Benfica and from Napoli in Italy. He chose Napoli and he will have a great career there and hopefully change club again for a lot of money in the future. A last look on his stats and the information that he made it already in the national team squad for the EURO 2036. But the next superstar is ready: Diogo Baixinho (YP18a) became the youngest goalscorer ever in the Liga NOS. We have superb youth facilites now. The Youth Intake The next intake with a lot of talented players. No immediately superstar, but a talented bunch. Players like Leandro Lemos (YP19d) are lacking in the technical area, but than can be improved. And Anselmo Silvano (YP 19a) could be a sensational winger (and came in the first intake after I removed winger from my tactic). Season 20 – 2036/2037 Squad // League Table (6th) // Transfers What happened? We established ourselves in the league behind the top-5-clubs and came 6th again. So we will play again in europe because of the cup winner playing in the champions league already. Our first season in europe begun with two big wins in the qualifying round, but ended in the playoffs. Against turkish side Trabzonspor we lost 1:2 away and had a goalless draw at home Keeping hold of players was again a big thing and as usual my board wants quick money. A few times I successfully protested against transfers, but in January the time for Diogo Baixinho (YP18a) was over. After daily offers from over several clubs, he joined Atletico Madrid. A shame, because he had a great season so far: 7 goals, 4 assists and a 7.52 average rating in 11 league games. For his new club he had a nightmare start: a 5 month injury after a few days. Striker José Constantino (YP 17c) I could keep at the club for now. The offers from Barcelona, Lyon, Juventus and so on were insults. We have state of the art training facilites now. The Youth Intake Not a bad intake of course, but the worst in years. I know, I am spoiled a little bit and some of them will become first team regulars. Season 21 – 2037/2038 Squad // League Table (4th) // Transfers What happened? Wow, we smashed it this season. Our best finish in the league. 4th – behind the big 3 dominant portugese teams. And we had a run in Europe. We made it not only into the group stage, but we achieved a big upset by coming 2nd above Liverpool. In the first knockout stage we lost against Southampton. 0:0 draw at home and 1:2 defeat away. I won the manager of the year award The transfer saga continues: José Constantino (YP 17c) was again the target from a lot of big clubs and in August Barcelona snapped him up. I am gutted to loose my best finisher, a last look on his player page. But unfortunately that wasn't all: Inter snapped up my midfielder Sergio Vidigal (YP18d). Here his player page. At least I could block the transfer offers from Barcelona for my wing back Joao Rodrigues (YP 17e) in summer and in january. Instead we got another income: Fernando Rola (YP16a) made the switch from Napoli to PSG and we participated with 12,75 million euros. He's a world class midfielder with impressive stats. I'll miss him Hopefully this loosing players every transfer window is over, because with a huge tv deal we are swimming in money soon Our improved finances we could use to upgrade our youth facilites to top and our youth recruitment to well established. The Youth Intake Not the best intake again. I kept only 5 players, but especially Filipe Monteiro (YP 21a) should improve my midfield. His passing is already sensational. 11. Eléctrico F.C. - Season 16 – 2032/2033 Squad // League Table (10th) // Transfers Second half problems On The Pitch 10th place again. My new tactic with 3 central mids worked very good in the first half of the season. We were 5th after half of the games, but again we dropped in the 2nd half of the season. Only 4 wins and 4 draws in 17 games. I need to find a solution for this problem we had in 4 of our 5 seasons in the Liga NOS. Btw: We even had this problem this years in games, we lost or drawed several games because of goals in the last minutes or in overtime. Key Players - Daniel Pinto (YP10x): The left back is one of our best players since a few years (after I didn't rated him that high at intake day), but had his best season this year. He was a defensive rock. - Hélder Hipólito (YP13x): Was the surprise of the season, because he never played a role in our youth team and had two mediocre seasons on loan. Profited from the new formation with 3 central mids and was the suggestion of my assistant after an injury to another player. His free kicks were a weapon, but a weird thing: After only one (!) season he got in our overall best eleven. So good was his season not, that he's in there before players who are playing since 5 or more seasons on this level... Off The Pitch There were some weird things on the financial side. Our status was “insecure” and than I received the message that the board pumped 3,6 million into the club to save us from receivership. At that point we had over 3 million in the bank and were on course to make a good profit over the season. We've a big loan because of our new stadium, but we have no problem paying our interest every month. Because of that I couldn't extend contracts with players until the end of the season. Luckily no one got snapped up. At the beginning of next season we had over 12 million in the bank and the financial situation changed to secure. So I don't complain about the extra money... The Youth Intake: A strong intake, but as in most years the best players are central mids and central defenders. That are the positions where we by a big margin produced the most talented players in all the 16 seasons. - PFernando Rola (YP16a): A gem!!! My head of youth development believes he could become one of the best players of his generation. That sound's promising. What's even better, With his stats he goes straight into the first team and will feature next season. He even got straight in the U19 national team of Portgual. Since we've another talented central mid now, we will keep the formation with 3 of them. - André Alberto (YP16b): An already decent central defend, who could maybe make some first team appearences in the upcoming season - Rodolfo Vidigal (YP16c): this years second central defender, far from first team ready Next season sees us move in our new stadium. That will bring us even more cash. But I hope that the grand opening is not a sign of things to come. We got trashed 1:6 in our first game of the season and in the new stadium. Our preview season was bad, too, so I fear we could get some problems (and that in the first year that we are not predicted to finish last) Btw. A legend is back: Luis Paulino (YP01a), the first ever from my produced youth player that played for the first team, is our U19 assistant manager now after his predecessor got snapped up by Porto Through The Seasons Season Division League Pos. 12. Eléctrico F.C. - Season 15 – 2031/2032 Squad // League Table (10th) // Transfers Without goals, you can't go to Europe On The Pitch 10th place and 20 points behind 5th, what's he talking about Europe in the headline, you're thinking maybe? But we had a realistic chance. One of the big 3 clubs wins the cup nearly every year (against one of the other 2 in the finals), so 6th place qualifies for Europe most of the years and I hoped to get that 6th place. We were 3 to 6 points lurking behind that place nearly the whole season. At the end we dropped. Lost 5 of the last 7 games (btw: and Cova da Piedade won the cup, so 6h place wouldn't have been good enough and all my hoping before was for nothing). And to be fair: We were so bad, we didn't deserve anything above the position we finished in. Nevertheless is 10th place the best position in the club history and that after a season I was not really happy with my players. We were so bad in offense, scored 10 goals less as in the year before and that only because we had three games were we scored 5 goals – without them it would haven even been worse. We created chances, but we couldn't score. José Conchinha (YP 09a) scored only 7 goals, squandered chances and was back to his bad old form. Youngster Julio Santos (YP12x), who I only took in at the year of his intake because of his determination, was so the best goalscorer. After he scored like mad in a few friendlies, I gave him one day a chance on the bench. As a substitute he immediately scored 2 goals. The problem with him: as a starter he was crap, always. Only as a substitute he made an impact. Key Players - João Lobato (YP07g): The only regular player with an average rating above 7, what illustrates how bad the team was. - Elson Nunes: The man who could nearly reach the moon. Close to 2 meters big, great Jumping Reach (was even 17 in the years before) and one of 2 players left at the club who are longer here than me. Before the season I thought again, his time as a starter is over. We had so many youngsters in his position over time with better technical abilites, but at the end he plays. In the earlier years big clubs snatched his rivals up, this year the younger players made too many mistakes, so he was back in the starting 11 after the first games of the season and was solid the whole time. Off The Pitch I experience a little bit of problems with contract negotiations. I can only offer 2 year deals maximum since the new board took over. At the beginning of the season 2032/2033 I've even the problem I can offer some players only a contract until the end of the year, so I can't extend it really for next season or longer (only with the use of extension clause), but I will both (extend the contract and an extension clause). Don't know if it's because of our financial situation. Since we took a big loan for the new stadium, our finances are now listed as “insecure”, which is ********. We've over 3 million in the bank. Okay, we loose money every month (about 100 to 200k), but that's no problem, because with prize, tv and sponsorship money we will make a profit of around 2 million euros over the whole season. Another thing. Before the beginning of the season it was time to say goodbye to Marius Toader (YP01g), the best goalscorer in our club history. It was a difficult decision (and in retrospect maybe I should have kept him with our problems upfront), but his attributes are so far from the level of this league and since he didn't perform the last 2 season... Btw: with him leaving we've no more players from the first and the second youth intake in our squad (we've on player from the 3rd, who never plays and is only as a tutor here) Player Progress Player Pos. Not many useful players, but finally: a striker, who could be a solution at our problem position – not only long term, but even short term (and after years lacking in this department, another striker, but he's ambivalent, too) - Pedro Ribeiro (YP15a): We needed a striker so badly, and here's the first one. He must improve in the key stats, but he will get his chances in the first team next season. - Arlindo Leitao (YP15b): Another striker, but I am not sure how i'll use him. My assistants believes he's best suited as a defensive forward, a role I never tried out, yet. And as a lone striker and main goalscorer he's lacking in key attributes. And for a attacking mid role his technicals are too bad... - Alberto Vaz (YP15c): this years central mid, but don't know what I should do with him yet, his attributes are not that good spread. Next season I want a top half finish. I know that's a high aim, but the team played badly and finished 10th last year. So I am optimistic that Top-9 is possible and I will change one thing for that. After years with the same formation (4-2-3-1) in 3 different variations and only small tactical changes (instructions, player roles) from season to season, i'll change my formation. As regular readers know I got a lot of talented central mids in the last years and I had always the problem to leave at least one good of them on the bench. The three attacking mids are on the other side another problem. I've too many mediocre players in this position, which I keep since years, because I needed backup. And the ones that played, delivered not enough goals. So my thinking is, I change to 3 central mids which should help the defense and on the other side give the two remaining attacking mids a little bit more freedom (and maybe help them scoring more goals since our strikers are not doing that enough). I experimented in pre-season and have a few variations of that tactic which worked and proved successful in the first 3 games of the season. For the long term goal champions league I've bad news. Since teams like Sporting Lisbon are snapping world class players for free on regular basis, the gap to the top clubs is getting bigger... Through The Seasons Season Division League Pos. 15. Eléctrico F.C. Season 14 – 2030/2031 Squad // League Table (14th) // Transfers A new board is in town and new stadium will be build On The Pitch It was an eventful season, and that is a good thing. We stayed clear of the relegation zone. A really big achievement is our new found goalscoring ability. After only 36 goals in the season before, we scored 54 this year in the league. Now we must improve our defensive approach, but even here we were better (“only” 62 compared to 77 goals against us). It doesn't speak exactly for my ability to build young stars, that it took us until the year 2031, but we have our first senior national player. Okay, Quelode Cá (YP 09d) played only one time for Guinea-Bissau and since his senior debut he is only part of their youth teams and I am not sure that he will become more than a rotation / backup player for us, but still, it's an achievement. One thing to mention: Braga won the league (after a 2nd place in the year before) and is the first club since 2001 (!) outside the big 3 (Porto, Benfica, Sporting) winning the league. Their new bulgarian manager works wonders... Key Players - João Lobato (YP07g): the by far best player last season. A offensive threat from both wings - a new record for best average rating was the result, but to be fair: in our promotion season to the Liga NOS he had more goals and assists and a slightly higher average rating in the league - Pedro Conchinha (YP10b): Second season as a first team player, great tackling machine in the central mid and a good free kick taker. Scored some wonderful ones from distance - Oscar Andreani (YP12b): Our new goalkeeper, not as good as Diogo Pinho (YP10a), who btw. played a sensational season for the reserve team of Olympique Lyon, but he is our new number 1 for many years (I hope). He's not good enough for this division, yet, but he'll get there. I hope he stays that long. He has 2 more years on his contract. I normally would extend that, but his agent wants a release clause. - José Conchinha (YP 09a): After years in the shadow of Marius Toader (YP01g) he finally became our number 1 striker. 12 goals in 28 league games are not that great, but he's improving and I hope he will score more in the future. Off The Pitch We've a new board. Our owner since the beginning of the save (you remember: the guy who sold a lot of players against our will) stepped down, so let's see, what the new guy in charge will do. His first decision was not that promising: he severed the ties to our two senior affiliates. Not that I need them, since we don't loan players, but the 250k (with friendlies) income a year was a nice bonus. But the board holds on to the plan to build a stadium, even better: they are building it. 2033 our club has a new home (and more than 4.000 people can watch us play). Of course, the club needed to take another loan, so let's see how that plays out. Regarding to my calculation instead of around 30 – 50k income per month, we'll lose over 150k a month now. That is a lot of money and could give us problems, especially since training and youth facilites are upgraded at the moment (will be finished 2032) and I don't know what the maintenance for them will cost (and they will take most of the money in our bank). And a legend is gone. Luis Paulino (YP01a), the first ever youth player, who we produced and made a game for us, was simply not good enough anymore since a few years. I kept him around as a backup for the backup, but it was time to part ways. Except for one year with a nasty 7 months injury, he was the first choice left back / left wing back all through our long stay in the third division. With promotion to the 2nd tier of portugese football, he lost his place in the first team and since promotion the first division he was a better mascot. Player Progress Player Pos. A striker and a left back are the positions I still need the most since we've not that much squad depth up front and I fear my left back will leave me in the next few years. - Rui Bolas (YP14a): Another central mid, with his sensational passing maybe an attacking mid. Need to get his determination up... - Pedro Ferreira (YP14b): A talented guy for the left side, not sure what i'll do with him, yet, since I don't play a left mid at the moment, he's defensive not good enough to become left back and on the wings I prefer inside forwards to wingers at the moment. - Marcelo Fernando (YP14c): an new big central defender with good jumping reach. Will he become the replacement for the legend Elson Nunes? He will work with him, so we get rid of his low determination. - Hélder Neves (YP14d): A fast right back, who can play in center mid, too. Not the positions we really need players, but he's good - Silvino Borges (YP14e): forgot to make a screenshot at the intake, so here's one at the end of the season. Another fast right back and his crossing is already going up. I like! - Antero Esteves (YP14f): Can play all positions in the attacking mid line, but don't know if he will ever become a regular player there. 16. Very good. Here's the screenshots. Training facilites will be improved at the end of the season again, and i hope i can improve the youth facilites, too (can't ask at the moment). And the finances are splendid, too. TV money is really helping and there are some good sponsorship deals, too. So we are making a nice profit every season at the moment. but didn't hear anything about the plans for the new stadium, yet, so don't know how that will change things...
17. Eléctrico F.C. Season 13 – 2029/2030 Squad // League Table (16th) // Transfers Relegation battle with a board who is sabotaging us (and seems to be bribed by some french men) The second season is the hardest and that was the case. We just finished above the relegation zone. One reason for the relegation battle was our leaky defense. We conceded 77 goals, more than anyone in the league – one of the reasons: our board was sabotaging us... Our goalkeeper Diogo Pinho (YP10a) was by far our best player, the only player who has really the stats to compete in this league, but since I am using past tense you already know it: He's not our player anymore. Again our board sold a player over our head, this time our big life insurance and the thing which drove me mad, was how they sold him... We got offers every day for him during the summer. Since he has still a lot of potential, could become world class and had a contract for a few years, I declined everything. Than my board accepted an offer from Olympiqe Lyon. Luckily I could protest, because accepting this offer was outrageous. We had offers around 5 million Euros, they accepted one for 1.5 million. And in winter: the same happened. I declined offers around 5 million, and then came Lyon: again my board accepted immediately – for 2.2 million. This time I had no chance to protest. So I thought, okay I try to get at least some more money. Offered him out for 5 million, got a lof of offers immediately, accepted them, but still he moved to Lyon. I am so pissed, lost this great player and didn't get even the money he's worth. Since my board only accepted the offer from Lyon, they must be bribed. It will be interesting if he has a career somewhere else. Until yet, not one (!) of my youth players who has left the club established himself on a level even as high as we are playing. That's says a lot about our youth work... The Youth Intake: Not sure if the new intake will change something, there are only 2 players I want to highlight here.. - Jorge Rodrigues (YP13a): A right footed player for the left wing, that's something I like and it's a position we have several players, but no one who can really establish himself. Maybe he will be our man for the future. But his mental and his technical stats must improve a lot before... - Aníbal Rente (YP13b): One more central mid, but I will use and train him as an attacking mid, hope his passing and decisions make him a good player in this position Next season is all about survival again. Our team is only slowly improving, we are still not at the standard from most teams of the league, but there are again 4 or 5 other teams which are not that good. 2 of them we must leave behind us Through The Seasons Season Division League Pos. 18. Shouldn't have said it. Praising words about my goalkeeper combined with the hope that we can hold to him. After that: starting the game, playing one week in game and what happened: An offer from Barcelona for him. And a lot of other top teams are interested. Since i know my board loves to go over my head selling players, i really fear i'll lose him...
19. Eléctrico F.C. Season 12 – 2028/2029 Squad // League Table (11th) // Transfers First season in the top division! Great season in the top division. We were never in fear of getting relegated, always stayed around 7th or 8th place and dropped only at the end of the season, because like every year: Marius Toader (YP01g) can't score anymore in spring (but was still the top goalscorer again). So we lost a lot of the games during the end of the season. We got trashed sometimes, especially the big clubs are still a lot better than we, but there are enough clubs in this league against which we can compete... Financially the top division was a big thing for us. TV money, merchandise deals brought a lot of cash (for the first time we can improve our training facilites now), and the move to another stadium helped, too. More than 4.000 people came in average to our games. Unfortunately: renovation of our home ground is completed now, so next season we will play in an arena with an capacitiy of only 4.000. Damn. The board wants to build a new stadium, but god knows when that will happen. Btw.: Because of a bug we didn't compete in the Taca da Liga, which is a shame, because it's the cup competition where you can earn a lot of money. Next year we're in it again... Regarding our players: we need to talk about an legend first. João Vrea, our last real player (we still have a few regens with came to the club before me), retired (unfortunately he doesn't plan to grab a backroom staff position). We gave him a final game, so that he played in every season for us. He was only a tutor in the last few years, but was a good centre back for a long time. He will be missed. Missed was Hélder Gonçalves (YP06d) for a long time, too. Again, he sustained damaged cruciate ligaments and was out for most of the season. It's the second time he has this bad injury and I don't know if our former star player, who was so promising that some big clubs were interested in his services, will ever be playing a big role again. An important players was Volodymyr Chernyshov (YP08d) who my assistant doesn't rank as our first choice attacking mid, but who had a lot of good games. Diogo Pinho (YP10a) was in goal a legend sometimes. Yes, he conceded a lot, kept only 5 clean sheets, but that wasn't his fault. As is said we got trashed from the big teams and there were some ridiculous scenes, where he saved the first two shots, but since my defense did nothing to clear the ball, he had no chance against the third. The Youth Intake: An intake with players with talent and good current ability, but again: best players are in the positions, which are not needed (central defender, central mid, goalkeeper). We desperately need good attacking players and wingers. For the first time personality is a bigger problem with an intake. - Vasco Esteves (YP12a): Another defensive, central mid. Seems we are collecting them now. Unfortunately we need to do something about his personality. First tutor attempt didn't work. - Oscar Andreani (YP12b): after years without talented goalkeepers, they keep on coming now. So we have now 2 goalkeepers in the squad who are playing for youth national teams. - Hugo Guerreiro (YP12c): our yearly central defender this year. bad personality, too, tutoring didn't work with the first try Next season is all about survival again. Our bad run at the end showed us that it will not be easy. So we need to find 2 teams we can left behind. And I hope we can hold onto all our players, especially onto our goalkeeper who wants to move, but has a long term contract. Through The Seasons Season Division League Pos. 20. @Sanno11 Congrats to promotion. I am in the 12th season now (my first season in the portugese first division) and i have the first time the option to ask for increasing my "failry basic youth recruitment, yet. Junior Coaching i could raise to exceptional years ago. I think the problem is: As long as there are many bigger clubs as you in the same area, you can't improve the recruiting. Because most of the players will still go to that club... @Muttley84 Thanks. I am performing surprisingly good in the first division until yet. And the big stadium helps so much financially. Especially against Sporting, Benfica and Porto we had big paydays (for a club our size). Already fearing next season back in our own stadium. will cost me a big junk of our income...
21. Eléctrico F.C. Season 11 – 2027/2028 Squad// League Table (2nd) // Transfers A close promotion race!!! We did it! We got promoted to the Portugese first division in one of the closest promotion races I ever experienced. And it was such a weird race at the end. Two days ago I had an fm session, where everything worked great. 7 wins in 9 games, we pushed in the promotion spots with a 5-point-lead. But today, as I continued the save, nothing worked: 3 losses, 1 draw and only 1 win in the last 5 games of the season. But at the end nobody else wanted to get promoted. At the last day Casa Pia lost their game, Moreirense drew only and both finished behind us. The party started!!! And we had a decent cup run. We didn't lose a game in regular time in both cups. In the Taca de Portgual we lost in the 4th round in a penalty thriller against last years dominating team from our division, who played a great season in the Liga NOS this year. In the Taca de Liga we got to the group stage for the first time. With 1 win and 2 draws (one against the at the moment best club in Portugal, Sporting CP) my team really impressed. Again the board sold one of our players: Duarte Galveias (YP08a) was an important first team player (13 goals and 15 assists in 59 games through all seasons), but it didn't hurt us, because this was the year in that our substitutes stepped up. We never had so many goals from so many different players and so many players with high ratings. For example João Lobato (YP07g) and Volodymyr Chernyshov (YP08d) who started the season on the bench stepped up big time as they were needed because of injuries and became first team players in the process. Chernyshov scored some great free kicks. Our best goalscorer was Marius Toader (YP01g) again (see all about him in last seasons report), but again he had a big dry spell at the end of the season. In the last 8 games he didn't score one goal. But José Conchinha (YP 09a) stepped up. He was during 2 injuries from Toader a good replacement and will challenge him for the striker spot next year. Unfortunately we have no talented striker in our youth team, so a lot of our survival in the top tier will depend on this two guys. Our only other striker option is our left inside forward Hélder Gonçalves (YP06d). After recovering from his 7 month long injury the year before he had a really mediocre season. I hope he finds back his old class... The Youth Intake: Not the best intake. A few players are talented, but some are lacking in key stats for their position and unfortunately everyone has low determination. And the two best players are for a position we got good players in the last years and have so already a lot of choices. - Rui Garcia (YP11a): at the moment we get a lot of central mids. This is the first of two really talented this year - Carlos Lopes (YP11b): second central mid, love his teamwork - Luis Almeida (YP11c): our central defender this year, but his marking and concentration is far too low... - Ferreira (YP11d): a new striker with unfortunately not good finishing. He can play on the wings, too, but he's too slow for that. So don't know yet, what I will do with him. Next season our fans need to take a drive to see us play. Our stadium will be expanded to 4.000 seats (yeah, big crowds), so we are in debt now. During the next 11 months we are playing about an 1 hour drive away in the stadium of an amateur club: 20.000 people can see there next season. And the only goal will be survival. One good thing which came with the promotion: Every important player has now a really long term contract, because they had all an automatic contract extension for 1 or 2 years in case of promotion.
