Well the problem is that nine times out of ten the opposiotion vastly "overscores" in relation to their xG and my team underperforms. I'm not talking about scripting. I'm talking about every statistic indicating that you should've won but don't. Yes I know this is built in feature because "the deserving team doesnt always in real life" but this is tired excuse for the game screwing you no matter what you do tactically. -
I had this conversation years back and then the conclusion was that the ONLY way for the game knows how to indicate your tactic isnt working is to simply stop you from scoring. This seems still be the case. Because to me it looks like we are playing quite well... Until you look the final score. Here's 3 concecutive losses of mine: RESULT 2-1 (Got a red '80 and lost to a last minute goal) - This is actually fine RESULT 2-4 RESULT 5-3 (one of my goals is a pen)

Honestly I feel the first build/version of the match engine has been like this for few years. Doesnt matter what kind of Shut Up Shop tactic you use the opposition comeback inevitable. Frankly the first build/version of the match engine is utter BS. At least this year and last year. -

Not a specific tactical question but... How's it possible that a tactic is working in Champions League but not in the League. I've crushed Arsenal, Inter and Machester United in the knockout phase and made it to the final but cant get a win in Ligue 1. 6 games without a win. Playing as Nancy-Lorraine 10th season. Been using ME23.V2HGFKnapBALSP451MEZP110ECCC. Sort of did go mental with the fines and team talks but shouldnt that effect every match not just League matches. I've literally stopped scoring in the League no matter what the xG!

Unable to get any consistency with any of these tactics playing with an underdog team (Nancy, currently 10th in 2nd season in Ligue 1). Granted still overacheiving a bit but inconsistency is killing my blood pressure. Changing mentality seemed to help at one point but then that went out of the window.
