Just to add to the previous two comments the signing of a pre contract doesn't prevent the activation of a release clause which is still in effect until the pre contract becomes live.

IMO it's a waste of time to sign players who are unambitious or temperamental, however, some people consider fickle to be an ok personality. It means that the player is highly ambitious in that his ambition rating is between 16 - 20 but his loyalty is very low in that it is between 4 - 6.

Go to Tactics and under the view insert the column entitle Role Ability. Hover over column title and it literally says "Assistant Manager's Opinion of this player's Current Ability in the Selected Role" ... change the person who gives you player reports or change your Assistant Manager and the stars may well change.

The star rating is the opinion of the member of staff whom you ask to assess your players. Change the member of staff and the star ratings will almost certainly change. I think that this is realistic in that as the manager you ask your staff for their opinions as to the relative ratings of your players and depending on who you ask you will get a different opinion. You also ask your scouts to rate the players that they have scouted compared to your current team. Again, each scout may well give a different opinion. The accuracy of the various star ratings does, of course, vary depending upon the judging ability of the person giving the opinion. A member of staff with judging ability of 20 will give a highly accurate star rating whereas one who has a judging ability of 1 is likely not to have a clue. This all seems to be perfectly sensible and I don’t really see any reason to change the system. If people want more accurate rating they can always look at the CA and PA ratings or use an external tool if that is their preference.

If you are playing with fake players face packs will not work with non-newgens. I raised this a couple of editions ago. SI don’t want real players’ faces to be applied to a random name with the same UID as the real player.

The positions that you see in the tactic slot are the positions that the players tend towards when the other team has the ball and you are defending. So a role shown higher up the pitch is more attacking and less defensive than the same role in a deeper position. It’s the same with all roles that can start in different strata on the pitch.

Bury FC last played in League 2 in 2018 - 19 when they won promotion to League 1 but before they could play any more games they were expelled from the Football League in August 2019 because of long standing financial difficulties. I'm using @lionel messi's Enland Level 10 data base and thought that to play as Bury, starting in The North West Counties League - Premier Division which is level 9, would give a nice back story as I try to raise the club to its former glory and beyond. Anyway. at the end of the first season we ran away with the league and as soon as promotion was gained the board announced that we are going professional. So I'm about to start at level 8 as a professional side! I wonder if this is record for going professional.

You basically search the internet for an updated data base for your specific version of the game.

I also find it useful to have a youth team that only plays friendlies then I can use the matches to ensure that all my first team players retain their match sharpness.

Try click to sort by Position/Role/Duty, then hold shift and click to sort by position.

It may be that you have used the IGE. Any use of the IGE prevents you from earning any further points on the leader board for your current save.
