  1. Ryan if you want decent answers to 3 you're gonna have to break it down and ask specific questions about age, hours of use and whatever else you want to know. As for 1 and 2, best to ask SI directly, although I doubt they'll divulge accurate figures.
  2. <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Originally posted by themightyshakers: Every team comes out of the ground from the centre however at old trafford the teams come out from the corner! should this be added to the game? </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Lets concentrate on fixing the many bugs we have, particularly associated with Board Confidence, before we start adding pointless aesthetics that favour the big teams.
  3. Having read this thread, I have to agree... allow the league rep to change! I thought it was possible for this to happen to be honest... makes sense? For European leagues, surely league rep should just be linked to UEFA Coefficients. This would be really simply to implement I would have thought, and is fairly accurate.
  4. Andri Sigþórsson on a Celtic game on CM 99/00 Jesper Hjorth on a Eskilstuna Södra/Colchester United game on CM 99/00 A regen who's name I can't remember, but he was the regen of Wynton Rufer (Oceanic player of the century apparently), helped me win the Confederations Cup, beating the likes of France and Italy in the process, with New Zealand! It was disappointing really, because after a while he left his New Zealand club because he obviously had a higher profile than that, but for some reason no-one would sign him. It went on for like a year, his stats plummeted, so I actually went and managed a Scottish team and signed him, just so he'd have a club! Lost that game soon after to a complete computer failure though For my favourite of all games, B 1913, star players were ... **** can't remember his name. Random Danish striker who I signed on a free, scored 90 odd goals in two seasons for me, then I sold him for 13mil. Paul Ifill, his replacement, not quite as good, but still very very good record! And a fantastic right-back whose name I also can't remember, Lars something, stats weren't even that amazing, but his form averaged about 8!
  5. I think Ukraine for a long time were managed by the manager of Dinamo Kiev, might be wrong though.

Not exactly the same thing really. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Oh, he had a half decent start, but still a nobody on our terms.
  7. <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Originally posted by Nautilus: Surely none of us would wake up tomorrow and find himself leading a team in the Champions League!!! </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Avram Grant. As a Chelsea fan, I felt the need to mention this. I prefer building a tiny club, or at least did on the older versions. Found it to be particularly challenging on FM08, what with all the bugs, compared to my favoured CM 99/00 and CM 01/02. My best was starting as B 1913 who have now merged to form FC FYN. They were in the Third Division in Denmark. I signed a complete new first team, got them promoted, only lost on first day of season, after 2 further seasons got them into the First Division, spent two seasons struggling against relegation, managed to just escape, and then spent the next 10 seasons winning the league without fail, cup almost every year and chalked a champions league win in there too. All with a ground 5000 in size. My favourite achievement though was signing a striker on a free (Danish), and after him having scored roughly 90 goals in two seasons, selling him for £13 million to Valencia. I made his career, because he was a reserve at a mid-table side before that, bizarrely, because his vital striking stats were fantastic... After 15 seasons, Liverpool offered me the job after their manager retired having won the league. It was actually the first time in the game I had been offered another position. I don't know whether this is because the board refused approaches or whether no-one thought they had a chance of me accepting. I accepted it after some deliberation. It would only be natural. But I hate Liverpool with a passion so I quit the game, it ruined it for me! But yeah, there is my rise from nothingness to fame at a big club.
  8. So the issues raised in this thread are: 1) Board confidence is completely bugged, making the game unplayable realistically after 2 years 2) Unbalanced shots to goals ratio 3) Too many shots per game due to unrealistically poor defending 4) Super goalkeeping 5) One on ones not working properly 6) Competition bonuses ruining clubs' finances 7) The controversy problem: Absolutely no reason to have this feature as it is useless with the 2D match engine. It's basically impossible to work out for yourself whether a decision was correct or not, so all it really does is help you upset your players 8) Future regens being rubbish For me the worst issue is the 1st one. 2-5 together work okay, but they are terribly unrealistic and realism is what this game is aiming towards, right? All problems though. SI have plenty on their plate and then people are suggesting more features! I would suggest that at this stage there are already too many features. Lets just focus on fixing the current problems. Now a question: I know this is likely to be information available, but I don't really know where. When I we likely to see a fix to these problems, an 8.0.2 patch? Thanks for the answer in advance.
