  1. I thought this thread would be a good idea as a lot of the questions asked in this forum are for tablets and rather than the same questions being repeated again, having questions asked and answered in one thread by other forum members should be pretty helpful. Also, for general comparisons and even those who want to drop little reviews, if you could mention the tablet you're using that would be great. I have a Lenovo Tablet and Nvidia Shield and will post my thoughts in comparison to FM Touch 2016 a little later once I've played a couple of seasons however if anyone has any questions regarding Touch 2017 and those tablets I'll do my best to answer.
  2. Thats good to know! Any official confirmation yet that the K1 works and is supported?
  3. I think you may have to re-read the tactic, going by your post you have read the OP which was last weeks tactic and not the last post I made detailing the changes I made which have removed the look for overlap instruction and added pass into space as you suggested. Both of my IFs are support duty however they DO NOT have look for overlap whilst my ST on the CF-A duty has scored 23 goals in 29 league appearances, doing pretty well with the new tactic, this one: 4-1-2-3 DM Wide. GK - Defend LB - WB Defend DCL - BPD Defend DCR - BPD Defend RB - WB Defend DM - BWM Defend MCL - BBM Support MCR - AP Attack AML - IF Support AMR - IF Support ST - CF Attack So player positions remained exactly the same whilst only the wing backs had duties changed from support to defend & CB's were made into BPD's. We still play with control and structured set, there are still no specific player instructions whilst the team instructions are now: Lower tempo with balanced width. Slightly higher defensive line with closing down sometimes. Play out of defence, pass into space, mixed passing directness & retain possession. Work ball into box is the only final third attack option selected.
  4. Well, after a lot of tweaking with different parts of my original tactic throughout last season I finished 5th however no matter what I tried we still struggled for goals massively throughout the season. I tried a number of the suggestions posted here and felt like I had garnered a much better understanding of the team instructions as well whilst I also listened to my assistant in matches to find out what was going wrong. Anyway, this pre-season I settled on a style of play which was still a controlled, low tempo, possession based game but I made a few little changes to the original tactic which seemed to have really worked out as after 20 games of this 3rd season in Serie A we had the best defence and 2nd best attack in the league of which we were top with a record of W17, D1, L2, even the 2 games we lost, 1-0 at Napoli & 1-0 at Roma were games which we controlled and created a number of good scoring opportunities. I am now 30 games into the season, top of the league by 6pts from Juventus with a record of W23, D4, L3, F61, A22, our 3rd loss was another 1-0 away defeat (this time to Inter) whilst we also have a Euro Cup Rome derby QF to look forward to! I keep expecting us to slip us but we consistently dominate possession whilst the major issue which I was having in CCC is no more as I tend to get on average 3-4 CCC per game. The assistant rarely comments negatively in games either, now and again he may suggest a more direct approach but in general everything is positive as we dominate possession, create a number of chances and concede very few, for example I am at home to Roma now at half time in Serie A leading 2-0, we have had 16 shots with 7 on target & 4 being CCC, 66% possession, an 84% pass success rate whilst we have only allowed 2 shots at our goal with 0 on target and 0 CCC conceded. Probably the only downside is we seem susceptible at times to a long ball over the top which we may in future try to counter using either a covering defender, the offside trap or dropping the defensive line slightly however I don't feel at this moment in time that I want to change anything as we are having a blinder of a season and I want to see if I can maintain this current tactic until the end of this season and throughout at least the first half of next, anyway here is how we are now set up: 4-1-2-3 DM Wide. So the team instructions that have changed are closing down from much more to sometimes & passing directness from shorter to mixed. Added are play out of defence & pass into space whilst look for overlap has been removed. I'll still welcome any comments/suggestions to potential improvements to the tactic, we can still improve defensively as we don't look anywhere as tight as the previous two seasons. As I play 2 BPD in central defence and use a slightly higher line I'm thinking using the offside trap would be a good idea whilst the other option defensively would be to use a cover/stopper pairing with the current team instructions, thoughts on those?
  5. Well the more expressive and run at defence I only added 3 games ago to see if that would give more options to my attacking players, I haven't had those for the previous 60+ games. My full backs are actually brilliant, I have Muniesa and Vrsaljko on the WB defend duty but despite this they support the IF's very well, I have the look for overlap option and they tend to always be up there in support and are a great outlet whillst my defence is rock solid. As for more tempo, that is how I usually play and it hadn't worked at all, Cleon's thread on possession football moved me to a controlled, shorter passing, lower tempo style and playing at a higher tempo seems to go against Cleon's advice, I will try it out anyway. I think the only forward roles I haven't tried are the F9, DLF & Trequarista and the only reason I haven't tried those this season is because I don't have the type of forward who seems able to perform this role, I have Vincent Aboubakar (CF), Charlie Austin (AF) & James Wilson (P), I have really wanted to try the F9 as I do believe that this role could help create more holes, would it be worth trying it anyway even though the players I have are not suitable for those roles? I'm reluctant to change the AP-A, maybe it's the slower Italian football but he seems to really dictate the game, usually has a rating around 8 and tends to link up very well. I agree with the dribble more and will remove it, I had only just switched this on a few games back but I agree it's not needed, I was just trying something different as I was lost in terms of what to change. I will also move to a normal tempo and see how that pans out, thanks for your suggestions, pretty much agree with everything you've said and has opened my mind again, thank you
  6. I'm in the 2nd season with Lazio and this season we are really struggling to create clear goalscoring opportunities & score goals. Last season we finished 3rd, scored a healthy number of goals and had the leagues best defence however this season the goals have dried up since letting Candreva leave. Initially I was struggling with the game altogether before reading a couple of Cleons threads, those helped me massively and I decided against my normal high intensity direct approach and went for the following: 4-1-2-3 DM Wide. GK - Defend LB - WB Support DCL - CD Defend DCR CD Defend RB - WB Support DM - BWM Defend MCL - BBM Support MCR - AP Attack AML - IF Support AMR - IF Support ST - CF Support or Attack We play with control and structured, there are no specific player instructions whilst the team instructions are: Lower tempo with balanced width. Slightly higher defensive line with closing down much more. Shorter passing, retain possession & be more expressive (only just added be more expressive 3 games ago). Look for overlap, work ball into box and run at defence (added run at defence 3 games ago too). We have played 11 league games with a record of W4 D6 L1 F8 A4. We usually have 60% possession with double figure attempts on goal however we rarely have 1 clear cut chance. Every one of my players usually has a rating of over 7 with the exception of the lone striker, I have tried a number of different roles for him but he just seems to be rubbish regardless of what role I have him playing. I don't want to move away from the style I have as we are defensively sound, the possession football is good whilst 90% of the time my asst reports that if we could turn chances into goals everything would be good so how can I score more goals? What minor adjustments do I need to make? I would really appreciate any suggestions as I am struggling to come up with a solution!
  7. Touch is closer to the current FM series than the old CM series. Have a look at FMM16,it looks and feels like the old CM series and is more what you're after by the sounds of it. I have both versions, FMM16 is a brilliant game
  8. Yep this was 100% confirmed on twitter that the Yoga 2 would be supported
  9. Fantastic, thanks for the quick reply! I have a tablet that runs FMC15 so I should be able to run England (all divisions) with the top league from any other 3 nations then. Cheers Marc, will purchase this tonight
  10. How many nations/leagues can you run on FMM? I was under the impression you could only run 1 nation with all their leagues/divisions...
