Well this is nonsense. Why would they need to give themselves a few more days? They can release whenever they want as they never give a date for beta. They could release it on the 19th, 26th or later and it not be an issue for them.

There's a huge chunk of middle ground there isn't there. Could easily be resolved and fixed in game or not resolved and we see altered names etc. Either way, information can be given in a professional and factual way without impacting any relationships.

Not necessarily. They could resolve the issues tomorrow, release the beta on Monday and then we'll hear about the issues in the coming weeks.

I probably slightly prefer to old engine but only because (and I have no idea if this is an issue that has been mentioned) the amount of times the woodwork is hit is crazy. Literally 2-5 every game. I find it really odd.

You don't know that in the same way anyone saying it is today doesn't know. They gave a time frame of end of Feb to beginning of March. Could be today, could be in a weeks time.

Why should they? They've never once committed to a strategy around dates of it being released or how many there will be. People expect a patch shortly, and rightly so, but there is no reason to assume that it will be at the end of February and then to get annoyed if it doesn't happen.

How can it be 3 days late when no release date is given? I don't understand where this assumption that it should be out in Feb comes from.

Not really. It's not only a patch to add transfers is it.

I'm with you. I thought 22 was poor, the ME in 23 is miles ahead. FM22 was the same goals again and again.

Yeah, I agree that changes things. When it was mid march then they definitely could and would have dropped the patch and then added the contest winner in the smaller DB update later in the month. Now though, reckon this guarantees it will be late this week at best. Thursday March 2nd for me.

Well not really, as I feel a brand new ME warrants a new release along with the obvious date updates...

The ME feels 100% different. Lets be honest, not many aspects of the game changes at this point because outside international management and maybe set pieces, what can they really do differently that would mean better? I still think this ME is better than anything FM22 produced. There may be some unknown (to me) issues that impact longer saves but this is definitely the best release day version ever.

The game is? Because it really, really isn't unless you're playing it for less than say 30 hours. Value for money wise you won't find a better game in existence.

And this is what some people will never understand. It is completely subjective. For me, the ME is miles ahead of anything they have ever done on release day. Far better than FM22 ever was. The only slight issue I have is the goals coming from opposition keepers long balls. People talking about their high line being breached in open play need to look at how many times even a quality team like Liverpool get turned around due to them playing a high line. There are of course issues but some can be fixed with tactics, others are done a disservice in the way the graphics represent what is happening. Overall though, SI can be very happy with where the ME currently is.

The thing that's frustrating about no ME changes is that I really don't like ME changes in the middle of a save. It can feel like a completely new game, which spoils the immersion levels. So I'm now stuck as I don't know when the "major" ME change is coming. Is it a week or will it be around Xmas.

Well I wouldn't say after midday is almost over but like I said, who knows.
