Hi, guys! I'm taking advantage of the recent promotion to play until March 25th (it's only my second FM). I started a career with Brentford and I managed, not without difficulty, to get promoted to the first division through playoffs ! I've signed a few players (Yoane Wissa, Lenz and got andré gray on loan) to help me get there.

I made some purchases during the summer window before the start of the first division with the new budget allocated by the managers.

I've also just signed Benoit Badiashile at CB.

Thing is, i don't have enough left to buy a striker (3 millions left) and no one in the free agent list was interesting. I still have pretty much all the original players (only had to sold Dalsgaard) , but i'm wondering if Watkins or Mbeumo would make a decent striker in the prem. If you have any suggestions, i'm listening ! I'm also looking for tips to maximize my chances of staying in the top fight

How's Cantwell developed in your game? I took a look at him but wasn't that good and when Nowrich got relegated, he was available for cheap, but I pursued other players instead. Bought Badiashile as well for 5m and If you're looking for a good striker, I signed Eddie Salcedo from Inter for around 8m, he's my number one striker in 2024, was PL top scorer for two seasons. Sold Watkins and Mbeumo for decent money as they were not good enough.

Just started as Brentford. I am Danish, so I will keep up signing a lot of young Scandinavians. I am 10 games into the Championship. 7-3-0 so far. Also through to the 4th round of the Carabao Cup after beating WBA, Plymouth and West Ham.

Only one signing. A thread favourite in Mathias Ross from AaB.

I'm in 2022 and Nicolas Madsen has developed really well

Mate, I really don't know any team that you can't fit into Cerber or Fighter -)) if you know such team tell me, please... I'll take a look at it :)

switched to Fighter, 3rd season with Brentford I'm 8 games in and storming the league. Found that morale is really an important aspect of the game that will impact tactics A LOT. Nothing groundbreaking, I know, but it helped me a ton.

  4. After winning promotion the first season, finished second behind West Brom. This is how my second season went.

Lost in the FA Cup final against Leicester (had a very easy run, apart from running into Spurs in semifinal) Was playing the final with 10 men from 55 min.

Transfers prior 3rd season. Currently have more than 45 mil to spend, so there might still be some movement till the end of the window.

Current squad. In need of some striker. Anyone got some suggestion?

Mate, if you play with a newly promoted club in the most difficult leagues in the game such EPL or La Liga then a typical scenario of your progress looks like this:

    - At your first season you are one of the weakest teams in the league, predicted to finish 17th-20th place

    - If you use a very efficient tactic then usually you can finish the season as high as 5th place and as low as 12th place depends on your luck

    - If you use a very efficient tactic then each season you should do better than your media prediction and that will allow you to improve your team each season

    - after improving your team season by season at some point you'll reach 10th media prediction so with such media prediction you can expect to finish as high as 3rd place and as low 5th, also, you have a small chance of winning the league but such chances is really small and you need a lot luck for it

    - after improving your team season by season at some point you'll reach 3rd media prediction so with such media prediction you can expect to finish as high as 1st place and as low 3rd, with such media prediction your chances of winning the title are very high

So it might take 4-5 seasons or even more to win the title with newly promoted team in EPL or La Liga

The less difficult league the easier to win it… For example, usually, you can easily win Championship Sky Bet with a 10th-13th media prediction team and some very low reputation league you can win even the weakest teams in the league but the most reputable leagues in the game are really difficult and your overachievement is limited by quality of your players in such league.

Yes I get the concept, but your suggestion would still be to stick with cerber right? thanks mate

  6. Found that Cerber and Fighter are really inconsistent, can score 4 then struggling to create. Also, with both tactics I'm super vulnerable defensively, each game I'm conceding A LOT of shots.  My WB are getting 6.3 / 6.4 rating every single game. Any suggestion? Btw. Started to use these tactics mid season around January. Managing Brentford, first season in PL.

  7. Sorry if this is a bit off topic.

At the start of the game I selected a large database with top 5 leagues on playable, circa 38k players, but I'm missing a lot of players fx. Victor Nelsson is not in the game, even though the whole FC Copenhagen squad is there? same goes for couple of other Danish young players who are in the Danish U21, but missing in the game. I added the Danish league in October and it says it will load from June 2020. Will this mean from June 2020 I will see these players?

    This is an odd question.

If you make a fundamental change like that then it's a different tactic.

You can do it of course, but you'd probably need to make a lot of other changes to keep it balanced...a higher d line and more aggressive CDs for a start...lose the AP as you don't want two play playmaker.

Happy to help but I don't really get why you'd even try? What are you trying to achieve? Surely a DLP is better for a counter attacking tactic to try and spray the ball to on rushing midfielders?

I quite fancy making a counter attacking tactic, likely with a DLP and 2 box2box in front, but that wouldn't be this tactic. It might be my next project though!

I don't have enough midfielders suited to DM or BWM role, while I have a lot of APs and DLPs, that's why I wanted to play both of them. I don't know honestly, haven't had much luck with midfielders, they've been poor for me on 19 - DLP, BBM, MEZ

there are available editor files that unlock the Regionaliga leagues (link below). i would recommend them as otherwise you have to hope your reverse team gets promoted to Liga 3.

Mate what formation and tactic you use with Gladbach? started two saves with them, I was sacked and started again with them, but I'm really struggling tactic wise, not scoring at all despite having possession. I could use some tips
