  1. DRAMA OVER. Found it. Turns out the skin (maybe the default too?) Only shows a select few promises, but shows all promises when the hyperlink to "Promises" is clicked. Can't believe I never thought to do that

Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions.  Cant believe I'd spent ages looking last night and then found it within 30 seconds this morning as I quickly jumped on to take some screen shots :D

Remember kids, ALWAYS check with the default skin before making a Tit of yourself onlne.

Was it a condition of his last contract deal?

New signing. Don't think it was even part of the deal

I've just checked on mine to see if it's showing and it is there under promises. What position is he? If it's a midfielder just try him in different roles and hopefully after a few games it'll be OK.

Maybe as well try a different skin? It might show then.

To be fair, he listed as a AML/ST. He has played almost every game for previous club and Country as various ST positions. I keep changing them, but not 100% sure when I've chosen the correct one.

The skin is a good idea. I'll try that, but IIRC, other players requests have shown up

  3. I have a player that is requesting to play in his preferred role and position, and for the life of me I can't find it. It's not under "Happiness", it just says he is "Hoping to play in his preferred position and role soon" nor is it under a "promise".  I can't afford to have him going off on one and it's already showing as a Negative, but where it is is a mystery. I KNOW its going to be somewhere simple...

    TIA

Thank you for your answers @zyfon5@Orion_

so if i have 100% of a country u should be able to a lot of information about, lets say establish national team players right?

with 100% knowledge about Zambia, i am only getting this much information about a regular international player, is that right, or should it be more ?

I've always seen it as his 100% knowledge will get players "On the radar" as such but each will need scouting for more detail.

Unless I've been wrong all these years, which is a massive possibility :D

Have you managed to fill the promise with other players? I have about 5 players with this promise and they are all the same.

He is the only player to complain, but he's REALLY holding a grudge with it. Only other issue I have is Nebil Fekir complained he was being played out of Position (Oversight on my part) and, despite now being happy he is back in his favoured position according to a news item, he is still unhappy about me "Breaking too many Promises"  and so are 22 of his team mates. Champion.

  6. Well, its 2026, Stan "The Man" Kronke has been replaced by an even more miserable T*at, who has decided whatever I do warrants a "C" for EVERYTHING in the board Objectives, yet still only want Europa Competition for the next 3 years despite years in the Champions league...Yeah, I Know.

Anyway, nothing REALLY spectacular Happening. Since I took over in 21 We have had 1 Premier league title, 3 Champions league Semis, 2 FA Cup Finals and won 2 Silly boys league cups. Team seems decent, but I cant complete with the spending power of City, Liverpool, United Ect. Sitting 4th, 5 points off top in a close season so far.

    4-3-1-2 Tiki Taka

    1st choice - Backup

    Berd Leno - Den Henderson

    Simon Galli - Kieran Tierney

    Dayot Upamacano - Gabriel

    Pau Torres - Anel Ahmedhodžić

    Wiliam Saliba - Sergino Dest

    Dominik Szoboszlai - Aleksandr Golovin

    Teun Koopmeiners - Franck Kessie

Ferran Torres - Joe Jackson (Newgen)

    Nabil Fekir- Ryan Gravenberch

    Darwin Nunez - Agustin Hauch

Chris Zierkis (Newgen) -  Marcos Leonardo

  7. I'm seeing the same, but it may just be a REALLY finicky player. As Arsenal we lead the way in All but 2 Coaching sections, Fitness and Goalkeeper distribution, in which we are second but Ryan Gravenberch is STILL not happy and this was after replacing 4 coaches and sending a few of them them on Courses.

Still listed on the Promises section 6 months later. I'm at a loss what to do, bar TOTALLY overhaul each and every coach, but I'm not doing that.

  8. I will Do this properly when back at PC, but for now, I've just hit Feb in 2022 and I've got to say, its been the most enjoyable Arsenal save I've probably ever had. I holidayed the first season as it seemed odd replacing Arteta straight away (Yeah, I know I ain't right) and won the Prem first season. Chelsea, United and Liverpool are all making it hard this year, but after 3 back to back defeats in December, I've now kept 8 clean sheets in a row and 9 out of 10. Back on track in 2nd and 4 point behind Erling Haaland FC (28 goals in 18 games for Liverpool)

    Current Squad:

                     Leno

    Wague Tah Gabriel Tierney

                Tonali Kessie

    Pepe Fekir Auba

                    Nunez

Needs a bit of work to blow through the sheer amout of fixtures we have but rotation players such as Koopmeiners, Ahmedhodzic, Saliba, Pellergrini, Partey, Koopmeiners, Golvin, Saka, Smith-Rowe and Brenner as well as 4 South American youngsters joining in June and a couple I have on loan I am keeping my eye on means there is a decent young spine to the team. Made a club record £108 in one season transfer sales, helped buy Mugging off West Ham for 29 million for a 32 year Old Lacazette. Madness.

  9. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other really. I'm engrossed in my Arsenal save at the moment and finding sometime I'm playing beautifully an getting good Results (Beating Barca 4- and 2-0 in the Champions league as well as Juventus and Doubles over City and Liverpool in the league) and won the League in 2021, but it seems, as always, an influx of players and tweaks in personnel and tactic will have an effect. I'm in 2022/23 now and after sitting 4 points clear at the Beginning of December, I dropped down to 4th by Jan. Now climbed back up to 2nd by Feb. The teams around me (Liverpool, United and Chelsea) are really pushing me.

Long and Short of it. The game, FOR ME, has a nice variable difficultly. No Outrageous losses and everything can really be traced back to a decision I made, right or wrong. As the years go by and the game world develops, unless you nail it, you may see yourself slip. And I love it.

    Exactly.

I think you're taking the schedule names to literally, as in they're linked to direct tactics. Wing Play training just means that the players in the specific unit will get that specific training on those attributes. It doesn't mean you'll get better at wing play per say it just means your players will train to get better attributes required for that playing style.

It doesn't mean that training Wing Play if you're playing counter attacking is wrong, quite the contrary, you might have wingers you'd like to use in that setup. The world is your oyster :D

Probably yes, but I cannot tell you for sure, simply because I never use either preset tactics or preset training schedules. So hopefully someone who does will jump in to give you a more exact answer.

Perfect. Cheers Gents. I'll let you know if I crack the next big thing. Gegenpress 2:Electric Bugaloo 😉😁

Fluid counter press ??? I guess you meant fluid counter attack?

Your playing style will be your tactical style (i.e. the tactic you use when playing your matches). Your training style, on the other hand, is primarily about developing certain sets of player attributes that are most associated with that particular style. So there is no rule that says that you necessarily have to use the same training style as your tactical style, but I guess it generally makes more sense to train your players for the tactical style you want to play.

However, you don't have to use either a preset tactic or a preset training style. You can create both your own tactic and your own training schedules. That's solely up to you as a manager to decide.

Yeah, sorry, counter attack. So in theory, a team that counter attacks tactically, but trains in wing play would improve wingers in general, but not necessarily tend to counter attack on the wings more successfully? No more then generally being better wingers anyway?

  12. Sorry if the title is a mess, tried to make it detailed.

Basically, if my team main Tactical style is a Fluid Counter press and I train them regularly with, for example, wing play, will the 2 amalgamate into 1 distinct play style, or will the main style always be the played style? Or maybe the one that eventually is trained most?

    Does this even make sense?

  13. Maybe your scouts aren't up to scratch regarding expected wages? IIRC, its a variable and is based on stats. My league 1 scouts are usually quite some distance off what players ask for, I tend to ignore it for the most part.

But regarding some players, they will accept lower wages from higher reputation clubs.

Those are archived files. You need to select them all, right click, click "Extract All", and then the "Extract" button on the pop-up you'll get. Then go back into the game and reload the skin.

This man is correct. But possibly a spurs fan. Take that for what you will :D

I will keep with it and then see what happens. Good to hear that it does happen.

Yeah, keep up the good work and teams will start taking notice. I look at it as this is your first job in football management, you will need 2-3 good seasons to put yourself "in the shop window" as it were amongst the more experienced managers. Realistically,  it would be a struggle to get noticed in less time then that.

  16. I got Colchester up into league 1 first season, 7th in League 1 the following season and during a decent run in season 3 in League 1(5th or 6th around October) I was offered the Charlton job (22nd in Championship) and then around Xmas offered the Middlesbrough job (20th in Championship) so it does happen,  but may take 2-3 seasons to see anything. Never got offered anything in the same league or leagues below though.
