Re: ShopTo, it was not their choice to go physical only. Apparently Sega were unhappy with their aggressive pricing and so have restricted them to the code-in-box release. I'm going to assume other retailers complained about ShopTo undercutting everyone each year.
Oh.
LOL. That's one way to cirumvent any Price Fixing laws I suppose.

I had a relatively good tactic last year (adapted from something shameless stolen from either the tactics forum or the Arsenal thread, I forget) which worked pretty well. Saka, playing on the right as IW(a) was a goal machine cutting from the right. In the final seven of my save (2027/8) he won the golden boot with 31 goals.
If FM22 taught me anything, it was the value of using Player Instructions.
Player Instructions are worth their weight in gold. I think, maybe, the main issue is the ME struggles to get them across properly, visually.

We’re so much fun to watch right now. Already trying to work how to replicate in FM23. This beta needs to hurry up.
Eh, Unless wingers STOP trying to cross the ball every time and cut in property and Defenders stop hoofing the ball for no reason upfield, Im afraid you never will, not properly.
Be a good challenge though

No Idea on the reasoning behind it, especially as most want the beta and SI are hot on wasteful packging. I usually use ShopTo for FM, but went Fanatical this year. Code all legit and accepted by Steam. You can get it for ~£32 on Fanatical if you use certain codes from certain streamers (Not sure If I can mention on here) but they should be easy enough to find.
Unless there is something special inside the box we dont know about yet

I think the biggest compliment we’ve been paid this year is Klopp subbing off Salah for a defender at 2-2.
While we were warming up Fabio Vieira to try and finsh the game off. Levels I couldnt of imagined a year or 2 back.

Blocked, muted, reported and all that jazz.
But seriously though, good game. Not the way I hoped it would go though.Cracking game. Could of gone either way at times, but our Flakiness of previous years seems to be receeding and we kept at it.
Think the Spine of your team being a bit on the older side now is showing slightly.

No, Fanatical, among others, are doing Digital Codes. ShopTo are, for some reason, Physical only this year.

Seeing as the reports coming out about Diaz missing up to 10 weeks, I would like FM23 beta to come out now please so I can hide away from the world and hide away my pain in playing FM23. Thanks.
Right, off to change my Fantasy team, BRB.

Nice. What a real indepth discussion, as well a a thinly veiled threat.
This is exactly why what users post is taken with a pinch of salt. You make us all look dim.

100% I would buy FM year on year, even just if there was no update apart from updated squads. If my PC ever became unable to play FM, I would buy a new one. For over 1000 hours played, year on year, it still represents value. I enjoy it. £30 for a round of golf, once a week for a year (assuming a round is 3 hours) is £1560 a year, which is £10 an hour. £33 for a copy of FM works out, per hour as 3p. It is, for me, value. Do I want an improvement? Sure. Will it ever get to a point where I DONT consider it value for money? Probably not.
Worst case scenario, I pay £800 for a new PC that may last me 5 years, thats 160 pound per year. I would pay £200 a year for a new PC and a copy of FM. That's 54p a day.
Maybe I'm part of the problem? But each to their own.

I would love a better match engine, it needs a bit of love after all these years, but I'd be happy with just a bit more "Off the pitch" as it were. Better Crowd, better stadium, better weather, better wear on the turf ect.
Bit of spit and polish I suppose. I'm fully invested in my little FM world, but a little bit of that dies come matchday.

As long as it's not about getting a stadium editor, privat life of a manager or setting prices for hot-dog-stands I'm fine

I haven't experienced any major bugs in this years version. I am still playing my beta save.
FM21 there was a huge bug though where I got promoted first season to the premier league with Birmingham City and first season in the league the board wanted me to qualify for champions league and win the FA Cup etc even though my clubs original vision wasn't to even challenge to get promoted to the premier league until about my 3rd or 4th season. I was somehow 7th in about Feb and the board sacked me, I was livid!
Yeah, Thats a bug alright.
I've now decided the Beta period is ideal to mess about with a more balanced trade off between speed and Depth. Going for a 77 League, 32 Nation setup,110,000 player setup. My biggest yet. Just having a trial in FM22 ATM
