  1. Hi Recently got a desktop gaming pc previously having a laptop. I have connected pc to my 40inch full hd tv. Running fm19 i find the text too small to see from small distance. I have tested some resolutions in preferences and the best resolution is 1024x768 but still is a bit of a struggle to read, there are no zoom in feature only zoom out. I have found if I use the recommended 1920x1080 i can zoom in 25% but i find it the same as 1024x768. I think it's a skin that I need but unsure which one will give me the results I want. Can I get help please. James
  2. Hi all, I have just started a save with Accrington Stanley predicted to finish 24th in League 2. My aim to get them in the Premiership, don't worry I am not expecting this to happen in 3 seasons. I reckon at reasonable time to set myself is 6/7 seasons. Have a lot of work ahead of me! I have not got a good understanding of tactics and have always in the past only managed Spurs where it is pretty easy to win matches with their great attacking midfielders. As Accrington haven't got that and are tipped to lose pretty much every match they come up against I guess I should be looking to start every game with a defensive tactic with my biggest aim to stop any balls getting past my defence. I have created 3 tactics in which I would like your opinions on and ways I can improve the tactic or suggest a tactic which will be better for me. I will tell my philosophy behind the tactic I created. What I am unsure of is should I setup a tactic that is symmetrical & basically kinda makes sense or base it around the players I have not worrying if it isn't symmetrical and looks odd? If you think I should base it on my players then how do I do it with a team like Accrington as they don’t really have any good stand out players like you do in the premiership. First up is a 4-1DM-4-1AM striker-less formation, I am thinking more along the lines of this formation to be solid defensively but when in possession hit them on the counter hard. At the moment I am think this will be my main tactic to start games. Formation: http://gyazo.com/a392120d5c671868fa62802b68114aa8 Team Instructions : http://gyazo.com/34c3427244514bb9a3738d482980965c My thinking is that setting my right back position to limited full back will make the player be more of a limited defender than a full back and help out the center of defence, I have set the position to sit narrower. Just above here sits a wide midfielder on defend duty to cover when the limited full back drifts more into the center to help out. On the other side it is a fullback on attack and above is a winger on attack. This left side will be the main source of counter attacking and I have set in my team to exploit the left. I am guessing that when the left full back darts forward the right limited defender will join the middle to form a solid 3 at the back. The deep-lying playmaker is set to defend, he will drop to help out the defensive midfielder whilst still finding the attacking pass to start the counter. The box to box midfielder while drop with the defensive midfielder when team is defending and be a attacking midfielder when attacking. I wanted an AMC instead of a striker as I feel he will then be available to receive more passes from the midfield and dart forward when either have the ball or the team is attacking. I have set the left side (fullback & winger) to both use more risky passes to try also the box to box midfielder and shadow striker will do this. The deep-lying playmaker will pass more directly. Second is a 5-4-1 formation which will be more defensive for when we are up against the top teams. I want to instruct the team to defend, defend, defend and not worry to much about attacking unless it comes our way. Formation: http://gyazo.com/68ba51c8674c395042c2a6ac18bb0e59 Team Instructions: http://gyazo.com/2dd336359893c2851d1bee0291ef2ff1 I think it is best to instruct them to take their time on the ball, play out of defence and work the ball in the box along with retain possession and shorter passing. I don't want the to do anything stupid so stand off opponents and stay on feet is instructed. Finally I have a general 4-4-2 formation which is designed to give a good balance of attack and defence. I would like to use this in matches where I think I stand a chance of winning. Formation: http://gyazo.com/bffd1cb570c9c1ca1b033747fb93bb61 I haven't set any team instructions for this tactic.
  3. i am currently in my 4th season. doing very well in February siting 1st with a 1 point difference between spurs (the team i mange) & man city. i want to focus early at creating 3 new tactics for the 5th season in the hope that i can get the team to lightly train in the new tactics getting the familiarity levels up before the pre season also it will give me an idea on what players i need to get in. i have created my tactics for 3 different situations that i would like comments and tips on. the first tactic is a more attacking/creative tactic to be used on weaker teams. http://www.mediafire.com/download/ykf6hl7z39e2li7 the second tactic is a defense tactic that will hit them on the counter, to be used against stronger teams. http://www.mediafire.com/download/ykf6hl7z39e2li7 the third tactic is somewhere in the middle providing balance, to be used against mid table teams. http://www.mediafire.com/download/765snn22iv4t5t7 thanks

  7. I am a newbie at FM14. My save has gone very well so far. I am the manager of Spurs & in my 5th season having completed the quadruple (EPL, FA, Capital One & Europa) in the last season. After my last season I have shipped out a few of my stars & bought in new ones. Because I have had a pretty drastic change I feel that I should ditch my old ones & create new ones. I have played a couple of matches already having beat Chelsea on penalties to win the Charity Shield (for the third time in a row!) & destroyed Bayern in the Euro Super Cup. Although it seems like the tactics are working I am still unsure about my tactical ability as a manager & would like some advice on the tactics. To me the tactics are sometimes not defensively sound & sometimes we just can not score. We just lose or draw to teams we shouldn't like Crystal Palace. The '4-1-3-1-1Alternative' tactic is what I am planning to use for most games. formation: http://gyazo.com/c059deb316391682683c74e6fbe1b63a team instructions: http://gyazo.com/9343ec7db1571fbac90efeae5b9612e2 The '4-1-2-3Alternative' tactic is what I am planning to use against the much weaker team & may switch from the '4-1-3-1-1Alternative' in match if it looks like we are dominating but not scoring. formation: http://gyazo.com/5ae78670a6201108913fa10373a04418 team instructions: http://gyazo.com/40768f9edc6d107ac2ef48084e328397 Lastly the '4-1-2-2-1Alternative' was last seasons most used tactic. formation: http://gyazo.com/211bf5adbb537016bd970d84019abe3a team instructions: http://gyazo.com/81016ada62d32e8fa9b270e71b66c289 Also if you would like to give me advice in all other areas in my FM14 save or have a more detailed look, my save is uploaded to mediafire (http://www.mediafire.com/download/5bo7rqoavijcckj). I will appreciate any advice. Thanks, James
  8. child protection laws? there is some 15 year olds in the game now...right?
  9. when you say pick your squad, do you mean just add them in your tactics. no need to move the player to first team what is afaik?
  10. is it true that the Norwegian wonderkid wont be featuring in fm15 because he is too young?
  11. wouldnt it be cool if you could announce publicly that you are going to resign from a club at the end of the season. the club then have the option if they want to offer you a new contract to persuade you to stay.

  13. 1. in previous champions league matches i tend to play my under 21s in cl matches (to rest the first team) but sometimes they are ineligible to play as it says they have 'already been involved in a match today' mark next to them. do i have to bring them up to the first team a day or two before the match or can i just add them in my team tactic a day before the match? 2. i want to send a few of my players out on loan, however they are 18 years old and at the moment they have a home grown status that they will gain it in 3 years time. i don't want to disrupt this. does this mean i have to keep them playing at the club for these years if i want them to gain the club status and therefore shouldn't send them out on loan. thanks in advanced, James
