How are you setting up your 4-1-2-1-2 tactic? Just started a new save and haven't used the diamond in ages so want to have a go at it. Trying to make one work with one IFB and one WB(a), so thinking I should have a MEZ & AF on the side with the IFB to have some width there, but still adjusting it a bit to balance everything out.

Reject and wait for next bid. Negotiate and reject if they don't play ball. Keep going until their bids are acceptable. I got £170m for Van Dijk in the first window with about half up front and half in installments.

Timber looks like a useful squad option for me, but not good enough for me to give him a set position. He can rotate in at CB, DM, or RB whenever you have injuries or need to rotate. I realize most people in this thread is probably Arsenal fans, so maybe not the right place to ask, but am I the only one who feels like Arsenal's player is a bit overpowered this year? Like the whole starting XI is amazing, even players like Havertz would walk into any midfield in the world in-game.

Just dropping by to say that Trent being a natural RWB, but not RB, is an absolutely ridiculous decision. Liverpool has been playing a back four every single match they've played since Trent came into the team. Yes, we've played him high up the field and yes we've now played him as an inverted WB for a while. But he's always been a RB. You can argue he's almost playing like an IFB now, dropping in between Van Dijk and Konate and spraying passes upfield.

Which roles did you use for TAA and Endo, and how did you balance it with your LB? I did the same with Endo. TAA is my clear #1 with Gomez/Endo/Bajcetic all being able to play there as backup/rotation. Mostly had TAA as a IWB(s) and Endo/Baj/Gomez as IFB(d). Since all of my LBs (Tsimi, Robbo, Barco) are offensive, towards the tail end of the season I tried TAA as an IFB(d) with 'take more risks', 'cross more often' and 'cross from deep' which actually seemed to be quite decent as well. Not sure how I'm going to play them for next season though, so looking for suggestions. Mostly played a 4-2-3-1 with 2 dms, but also tried moving the holding midfielders up to cm and have a 4-3-3 as my third tactic. All of them is more or less the vertical tiki-taka tactics with minimal changes.

PSG offered a contract to Thiago in January for me, offered to sell him now for £14m which they accepted, I have more than enough CM/DMs either way. Renewed Matip and sold him for £18m in January. Bought António Silva in the summer window, and he's now pretty much on the same level to Matip so don't really miss either one. That's the only players of note I've sold so far. Got a bid for Van Dijk by the Saudis as well, but not before the january window and they only offered like £50m which isn't worth considering imo.

I'm playing with 2 DMs in a 4-2-3-1. Have been swapping Mac Allister, Endo and Bajcetic as DM(s) and Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Jones as RPM. Szobo/Elliott/Gakpo/Mac AM(s). Getting towards the end of September, and so far it's looking pretty good. Will probably sell Jones and try to get a world class DM to lineup next to Mac as the RPM, but Bajcetic-Gravenberch looks like they easily can become my long-term DM partnership.

Updates looks good this year, hopefully graphics and faces can be sorted out in 25. Really ****ing annoying to me that TAA is not a natural RB though after playing like 6 seasons there for Liverpool IRL.
