  1. I'm assuming this is a bug and I'll raise a report but I just had a goal VAR reviewed reportedly for offside, directly from a corner. Obviously wasn't disallowed but I think it would be pretty much impossible to be offside straight from a corner?
  2. While I appreciate the finger guns, I think saying someone providing feedback in the feedback thread is 'clogging it up' is a bit rubbish. You're the mod though I guess...
  3. I have seen an option before where a players asks for a new contract and you can say 'even if I wanted to the club can't afford it right now' but that is pre opening talks.
  4. While I see your point I'm not sure it is the best use of time if I'm clogging up bug forums with stuff I don't actually believe are bugs. The xG thing for instance- I don't think it is a bug that needs fixing, I think it's largely a situation where morale is a bit overpowered and the game isn't great at providing useful feedback for the player. This isn't something I'd suggest meets the definition of a bug and I'd wager you don't actually think it is a bug either.
  5. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see the things I'm flagging as bugs- the systems are working, I'm just feeding back that the results can seem off. Also I just don't tend to keep multiple versions of the same save and frankly I shouldn't need to just in case for a game that came out months ago.
  6. No because I don't think its a 'bug' per se. I put it in the feedback thread because my feedback is this sort of thing needs to be tightened up.
  7. I'm in 2028, so entering my 6th season in the game. My team have won two Premier League titles in the last three years along with a Europa League, an FA Cup. We're going into our 3rd straight season of Champions League football. Everton, in those 6 seasons, have spent four years in the Championship and this current season will be their 3rd in a row in the second tier. We have a 4.5 star worldwide reputation, Everton have a 3 star reputation. I'm not exaggerating that it breaks my immersion to have the press asking me questions about whether I'll be hanging on to my top scorer in the face of interest from a team in the second tier. Imagine if, IRL, a journalist asked Spurs this summer how they feel about Southampton wanting to buy Harry Kane. It wouldn't happen and it's silly.
  8. Another example of a silly little thing that breaks immersion. Evan Ferguson has been the top scorer in my Norwich team that just won the title for the second time in three years. Everton are in the Championship. I know the news item says Ferguson isn't keen on the move but in what world would this link even exist? A Championship team trying to buy the top scorer of the Premier League champions?
  9. As another Norwich fan I'd add when we had John Hartson just before he retired. Amazing to think he was only 32.
  10. I like in a shootout when a player goes straight from his halfway line walk into his run up.
  11. I absolutely agree about this being overall the best game but at the same time by the far the easiest. I'm 5 seasons into my game starting as Championship Norwich and already have 2 Premier League wins, an FA Cup, a Europa League and a Champions League final to my name. In previous versions I've been able to get to the top of the tree but its taken much longer and generally I've struggled to move from being a top 7/8 side to being a title winner. I'm not downloading exploit tactics, I've just made tweaks to the preset options generally and I've had immediate success. Even though I've moaned about the annoying runs where you suddenly can't score/the opposition is lethal, in general winning games is far too easy. In previous versions I've struggled to get wins against the top teams, this year I've already got wins over PSG, Barca, Madrid, AC Milan and Juventus in my two Champions League seasons, along with regularly having thumping wins v Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool etc in the league.
  12. Wonderful to see the game saved the cherry on the top of this particular run for last (these were my final 6 games of the season). So by final count my opposition managed 15 goals from an xG of about 5.5, my team managed 6 from an xG of 13.68. I don't buy into the conspiracies that some do about the game being rigged etc etc but it is tough not to get frustrated when things like this happen. I'm assuming it is a morale issue where some key players had a bad game or two and spiralled but it is extra frustrating as this morale/form collapse has come at a time when morale should be highest- literally the first game of this weird run was the game that won us the league!
  13. I've complained before about the frequency of matches where you dominate but under achieve xG and opponent over achieves. I've seen less of it over time but I think the biggest frustration is how you suddenly find yourself in runs where this keeps happening. I pulled the numbers from my last 5 games where I've been on one of these runs just to show and make sure I'm not going crazy. So across these 5 games my opponents are averaging 1.2 goals per game, despite averaging 0.62 xG, while I'm averaging 1 goal a game while creating an xG 2.2 goals per game. Maybe I'm creating loads of low % chances and conceding loads of high % ones. But it doesn't seem so... In 3 of the 5 games I've had a better xG per shot than my opponent. I know games like this happen but when you go on one of these runs and the game offers no explanation or useful feedback it feels a bit like its pulling down the shutters and saying 'lets make this artificially harder.' Maybe it is beyond the game at this point but I'd like my analysts or coaches to be coming to me and saying 'striker X has been missing lots of high % chances recently and his morale is low' or 'keeper Y is getting beaten by lots of shots from range, we need to work on closing down those opportunities.' Instead I'm asked to dig through a not very useful data hub and click through 100 screens just to give myself even the slightest hint of what might be happening.
  14. Fair enough although I'd argue it is bizarre to have this ticked by default, especially if you've only got one player on your penalty takers list.
  15. Fuming about this one Adam Idah is my penalty taker. He's the only one selected in the list. He's scored a penalty already, has a penalty taking stat of 18 and is still on the pitch when we win another. So why on earth has the game decided someone else is taking the penalty, who is signifcantly worse at taking penalties and doesn't even have the old 'on a hat trick' excuse.
  16. Just bumping this one as I'm now having it with basically every contract renewal- player/agent sets a figure and will not budge off it by even £1k, unless I set my figure to locked. Feels a bit off.
  17. Not sure if there is something obvious I'm missing but in my last two seasons of my save there is a month long gap between fixtures from mid-September to mid October. Went back and looked and it has only started happening in the last two years, both of which I'm in the Champions League for so not sure if it is related to that- although it seems like every team has this break, Europe or not. There is the normal international break but then no games for two weeks afterwards. Last season it ran from 19th September to 17th October. This season it was 18th September to 16th October.
  18. Yep I also can't see these. In order to see when players qualify for what though you can go to the squad page and select 'homw grown status' which will show you the date of any changes coming up...
  19. Yeah I think this is it- irl the player would likely come back to me and say 'hey, about that contract we were discussing.' Instead it seems like they have a wage they'll accept from me and a wage they'll accept from West Ham so when one meets his club specific demands he signs.
  20. Another thing to flag (sorry for the multiple posts, I'm mid game and post if I see something). Star striker was annoyed I rejected a bid from PSG. Had the chat, said I'll let you go if anyone triggers your release clause (£105m). Nobody has done. Happy days. I've just had a message saying 'he understands recent injury problems will affect when I'll be in a position to keep my promise of selling him but he does expect to see swift progress on this front in the near future.' Huh? I promised I'd sell if anyone bid. They didn't. At no point was it agreed I'd be proactive in trying to sell him so what 'swift progress' he's expecting to see from me I do not know.
  21. Just had another great example of transfer AI being all over the place. I'm managing Norwich, in the 27-28 season. Last 3 seasons we've finished 6th, 1st and 2nd in the League, won the FA Cup, got to the Champions League final and won the Europa League. I'm interested in Rav van den Berg at Feeyanord. He's a great central defender and has a clause meaning a Champions League club can have him for £24m. Lovely. Make a bid, accepted. Juventus and West Ham are also bidding, although West Ham aren't in the Champions League so have to pay more. Agent tells me he's very interested in signing for Norwich. Great. Negotiations kick off. He wants to be an Important Player £175k rising to £235k after 5 international caps (he already has one). I go back with £180k, no international rise (exclude that from negotiations. He says £210k. I say £185k, he says £210k, I say £190k, eventually I call off negotiations as I don't need him that badly and I find players/agents who aren't open to negotiating **** me off. Two days later he's rejected Juventus (in the Champions League) in favour of West Ham (10th, 11th and 13th last three seasons, no European football). Not only that but he's signed a deal as a regular starter being £100k p/w, rising to £130k after 5 international appearances. So we have a player who wouldn't budge of £210k signing a deal for less playing time, no European football and, even if he hits that wage increase, £80k less per week!
  22. I've got to say this one has floored me- 23 year old Brazilian Winger, no caps. Career spent largely in the Brazilian leagues or the French second tier. Good stats but nothing to blow your mind. His valuation is.... £85-129m! Bear in mind only one Brazilian team has ever received a fee north of £50m and that was for Neymar. I can't get my head around how this valuation could exist?
  23. Why are my players always so keen to force through moves to Tottenham? In my current save I'm in 2027. Spurs have won the sum total of nothing since my save began. My Norwich team has won the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup in the last two years along with making the Champions League final this past season. Spurs don't have Champions League football but I do. They don't pay crazy wages. Yet whenever a top player of mine is linked with them or they make a bid they are apparently desperate to make the move. They'll turn down other teams- one player rejected Athletico Madrid and Bayern- but the second it is Spurs it seems to be a done deal.
  24. Would add the very weird message you get pre match sometimes that player X is 'offended' because the fullback they are up against is a physical player. Offended? What?
