  1. I am playing as Schalke who, due to the finances they start with, have gone into administration. Players are being sold and understandably I have very little money to play with. From the sales, however, the board have given me some money and my salary cap still has some room However whenever I try to sign a player I am getting the agent message of not interested as I can't meet their financial demands - which would make sense for bigger named players but I am getting it from players on £100-200 a week yet I have 195k pw available so either that should be displaying as 0 pw available and I genuinely don't have that financial muscle OR there is a missing narrative saying don't wish to join with the club in administration OR there is some kind of blanket rejection filtering down from larger salaried players incorrectly flowing down to those I could realistically still sign
  2. This is likely to be a performance issue rather than a bug... I've noticed that when editing players attributes (the "edit attribute details" page for hidden attributes as opposed to the visible player attributes on the main screen) tabbing between each variable or clicking into a variable and it being ready to edit is really slow. It is not like this on the same tab for staff pages. It seems to be an issue specifically related to when you bring up the editor OVER their overview screen. When you bring it up when on the development or contract or transfer screens it runs quickly without any lag.
  3. I'm sorry I don't. I always use the 1 file rolling save method so don't have the back-ups. I think that save file is just after if I remember correctly
  4. I received an offer in the January transfer window for one of my best players - I was torn to sell as they actually offered a really good price (actually surprised my board didn't go over my head in truth) but being dead-on for promotion and a fan of the club the heart ruled the head and I didn't want to accept it In the interaction to persuade to stay I used the most logical choice to me about sticking around for us to get to the higher division but despite us being nearly 20pts clear at the top the response was that he didn't feel it was realistic. If he said he wasn't prepared to wait then that might make sense but he would know we are 20 points clear and its almost a certainty that we get promoted....
  5. Thanks - I was able to cancel the loan offer the next day after continuing and for context it isn't every offer, more every now and then - probably when the player is likely to join perhaps
  6. I have a multi-player game in progress and when I offer players via transfer-room for loan they often, naturally, come to the other human teams. But rather than something I can choose to accept or reject, the offers seem to be being auto dealt with - often with offers being made for the player. I have all of the transfer control (staff settings) set to me and as far as I can see I get no message saying the board have made that offer - it's just offered. Most of the time I can cancel the offer but having accepted the offer (as the team loaning the player) because if I don't the player will be upset (loan promise) the team that has made the bid now can't seem to cancel it either
  7. Match-Plans Not sure if this is a bug or what it is supposed to do? When I create a new match plan I can call it whatever I like and when I use a match plan I can see that name however when I import a match plan (whatever it is called) it gets labelled as default on the match plan page and next match when I am asked if I want to use a match plan when auto-resulting the match. Ideally these would be named separate things so that I can more easily choose the right one
  8. While I appreciate that "instant results" are not part of the FM skin I am sure SI are aware that other skins provide the capability I am running a large game with multiple teams so utilising this feature for every game with every team. I am getting several instances where players are unhappy with the team talks that I am providing (I'm obviously not saying anything) to them either too harsh (had this when losing and when winning) or too lenient (in defeat) and while I can promise to do better (can't control this) or try to convince them otherwise I am ending up with unhappy players
  9. I have uploaded a file for another issue - royal rumble 24_s00 if that helps?
  10. Update - it is the same for the Euro & conference league drawers at the group stage draw
  11. The draw for the champions league group stage came around and the button for "view draw" would not work. I was forced to click skip draw to advance. This was the same for all of the teams I have running. Draws for the conference league and europa league have worked fine however think I only have 1 team in each of these competitions
  12. Typically the second / third / fourth manager in a save but also if you start a new game and use the same profile as previously without editing the manager profile
  13. Not specific to FM24 but still an "issue" in this version of the game 2 scenarios... 1 - I offer to clubs (now offer via transfer room) for a player (to sell or for loan) - something like a fee + a % of future locked in, or a loan (quite often no set fee no set wages but locked in squad status) - all good, and often I either get offers that match this or I don't. I accept those (or my staff do) so long as they do match, which most of them do. So far so good.... Fast forward often less than 24 hours new offers come in with no relevance to what I have just said e.g. I have said must be a regular starter and the clubs are like fringe player okay?? If this was a few weeks later I might understand but they have likely just been told what I am looking for... 2 - I am accepting, rejecting and upping the asking price to maximise my players value. A club has offered 7 million and I get an offer for 8, I reject the 7 millions and accept the 8m. I may offer him again for 8 or try my luck higher. Either way a club that had had a previous offer - lets say 7 million, maybe 6 if a previous round - will offer 4 million. I get that they may not go higher but they know what was rejected so why would I accept lower? Ideally if you have offered someone via transfer room it would be a semi-permanent record e.g. this is what I am looking for (locked or flexible) and this acts as the starting point for teams in the future rather than them assuming its a completely blank slate and forgetting previous guidance like a giant goldfish
  14. There is a button when you create a manager (it's ticked by default) but there is no option to disable tutorials completely. If you then start a new game with the same profile or decide to play a game with the same profile managing multiple teams it re-ticks itself and even if you edit the profile to untick it again it doesn't seem to work
  15. Does anyone know of a setting somewhere that allows tutorials to be turned off entirely? I'm sure there used to be a preference that allowed you to do this but it seems to have disappeared. The tick box in your manager profile (untick in theory should remove them) but you still get them. If you add multiple player with the same profile it may reduce them for the first but you get them all again for the subsequent managers. The question mark option only allows you to restart or schedule not unschedule or disable. No option to set your experience level. There is no option in your profile or the preferences section to turn these off They are super frustrating and actually game-play ruining! Please SI if this is a bug can it be patched sooner rather than later!
  16. When you click into a player from the player search screen and come back out (most common trigger is adding player to shortlist and pressing to get a scout report) the whole player screen re-searches often with 000's of players rather than simply returning to the point in the page where the player just viewed is Additionally, often it will take you back to a player way higher in the search screen rather than back to the player you were just looking at
  17. It seems like it is impossible to get rid of the tutorials in a number of situations 1 - you add a manager without unticking the teach me new things box at the bottom of the new profile screen - there seems to be no way of turning these off in preferences which seems odd 2 - you add a manager unticking that box but then add subsequent managers (same profile) - it seems like it re-ticks the box because I get tutorials popping up Please please find a way of letting us disable these....
  18. Additionally if you have a player who has not played at all (e.g. a player in the U23 team) and then you sell the player before update day the player gets the previous season's history rather than the next season as should happen
  19. When the transfer window opens in the summer (any season) transfers before something like the 26/27th June (England) and around 10-12/07 (Spain) record against the previous season rather than the new season
  20. The player history screen - it becomes a complete mess 0's added for B-teams because the AI shifts them to the B-team for some reason and they don't even play a game yet they have a row of 0's every year for it Loan fees & mis-aligned transfer fees the awful data management from update to update with rows of 0's for a club when they moved to another club that summer and the person responsible didn't delete the former club row Compounded data management issues caused by the way winter updates are added 0's because they only played cup games (the whole league only view) 0's because a player who hasn't played for you moves to another club before update day and now has a full season for the new club The glitches in summer transfers before update days e.g. loans becoming permanent Youth intake getting a season of 0's when they inevitably don't make a first team appearance until the following season Summer transfers applying to the previous season because they happen prior to season update day
  21. I wondered if anyone with better technical info than I have knows the answer to this... Is there a way to use config files to stop the game creating B-Clubs or II Clubs? I have managed to get rid of them in the editor - unlinking them from clubs, renaming them etc so it's not weird BUT the game allows teams to start clubs again. I haven't been able to find a way in the editor to stop this happening so wondered if its possible to create a config file similar to the one that exists for stopping outside take-overs or disabling certain types of take-overs? Any guidance - especially the coding - if this is something that could work? Thank you in advance
  22. I am using a heavily edited database whereby I have applied a transfer embargo to pretty much every team in the world down to a certain reputation (several 000 teams) into the 30's and 40's game timeline wise. What I have noticed is that some teams embargo's have seemingly disappeared in-game and upon investigation all of them have been through a takeover process (successful and failed) which, I assume, has re-enabled transfers just as it does when you come out of the temporary embargo during that process (Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds Utd have both come out of embargo in the save file) Although not part of the bug/issue I have noted that the AI around clubs and players doesn't really seem to change in terms of players still wanting moves (get that but they'd be aware that clubs cannot sign players), clubs don't seem very proactive with free agents with some goo players spending 12 months in the wilderness, clubs don't seem to invest their transfer budget into wages or off the field improvements and for the type of embargo I put in place (attached player ban) clubs aren't able to approach to sign despite the fact that the transfer will be a FREE transfer when it concludes
