  1. Within the transfer page for a player you currently have the option to select from a drop down menu of actions regarding transfer/loan offers. Would it be possible to change this to a set of selections e.g be able to select accept offers ABOVE an asking price AND reject loan offers. Currently its either or Also with transfer options would it be possible to add other options such as accept offers that meet the current highest accepted bid, automatically send back a negotiation of the last accepted offer when new bids come in (save me having to constantly reject less attractive offers the the ones I have accepted) reject bids that don't include sell on fee % reject bids that are not all up front / not at least X up front
  2. Would it be possible to add a few extra options when going on holiday Specifically delay transfer decisions until I return - often I will tick the don't sell anyone because I don't want them accepting random bids for players I want to keep but when bids are rejected that can **** players off leading to lower morale than I would like. Ideally this option would allow all offers to be delayed (and clubs accepting the delay) until I return from leave. To keep this realistic maybe only make this a possibility if you are holidaying less than 4-6 weeks maybe?
  3. True but they do affect starting positions - take fullbacks and wingers for example - wingback in the two positions drastically affects starting position and how far up the pitch they are when the ball is lost which affects ability to get back In midfield I assume it is much the same in terms of the No10 role the standard mid line and the No4 have distance between them. If we have 4,6,8 & 10 as the normal midfield positions I'd like a little difference between 6 & 8 (5 lines not 3)
  4. I have asked for this as part of other commentary on the game but not sure I ever put it in as a request... Please, can you add/amend the current interaction options when a player is looking to leave (frustrated, unhappy, not going to break into the team etc) to move away from the onus being on the manager to sell the player... I would like to see the option of agreeing to sell the player IF certain criteria is met (minimum fee level, maybe to a foreign club, etc) but NOT having the onus on me having to push them for sale (which in the game leads to lower prices if you don't have multiple clubs interested) - they have an agent and I'd like the game to make more of this (even if its a behind the scenes thing) whereby sure I will agree to sell you BUT I'm not going to work to make it happen - that's what your agent is for Also can you look at timing - still have the odd one where its just after the transfer window has shut or more recently I seem to get them with 1-2 games of a season left. I imagine these chats are either ahead of a window OR at the end of a season when a player (and the club) are starting to think about plans for the next season
  5. I've noticed that the boards at various clubs hold you accountable for transfers made before you joined. If you take end of season reviews & the performance tab you have a grading based on the boards happiness with that player - even if you didn't buy them (e.g hard coded transfers etc) Equally I have noticed that when you are being judged against vision elements (sign players from X nation or sign players from clubs in the same league, buy young players etc etc) even if you haven't actually signed anyone Not bugs in the real sense but probably something that needs tweaking in the code
  6. When it comes to tactics the one thing I'd like to change is adjust the line for the CM role. Right now you have to decide between the DM, CM or AM but I often want to play my CM's slightly deeper than the CM but not as deep as the DM just for defensive positioning reasons. Maybe some kind of drop further in addition to the get further forward or hold position options could work? Also would it be possible to add the ability to have the DM drop between the CB's like we increasingly see in tactical set ups these days? I often want to have my CB's move a little wider (which I assume would happen based on the position of the ball e.g right or left not both at the same time) and want my DM to drop in between to cover which I can't currently get the player to do
  7. There are two areas I'd love to see some enhancements in - 1 tactical and 1 larger, more strategic change 1 - the first would be some kind of squad planning session at the end of the season in preparation for the next season and the upcoming transfer window. While I imagine clubs do this on an ongoing basis, when it comes to the end of the season, I naturally try to work out the structure of my team depending on what's happened (promotion, relegation, league position, ambition for the next season etc) often identifying if I will need to change formation, who is likely to be first team still, who might drop to the bench, which youth team players might step up and get a chance, which of them might go out (or back out) on loan, which players become surplus to requirements and hopefully leave and which positions I need to get new or better players into It would be great to formalise this in some way affecting things like squad statuses, transfer availability (adding available as well as listed), loan availability (desired level for them to go out at) and transfer plans (positions, priority etc.) and in some way connecting this across the individual elements of the game. Where it comes to squad statuses, transfer status etc it would be good to decide this and then speak to the players and have an interaction section related to it. Obviously some players may wish to stay and fight for their place (okay but in my mind you will be an emergency back-up and them being prepared to accept that not continue to expect to be a squad player or first team regular) whereas others will agree that its best to go elsewhere if they aren't in the first team plans. Equally players who are likely to be replaced (I plan to bring in competition/an upgrade in a certain position) being up for the fight or wanting a move etc. Ultimately individual player meetings about the next season based on the decisions I have made rather than just changing the status and dealing with the fall-out (or not) with no context I just think this would tie up a number of facets that already exist in the game while adding a degree of realism to this part of the game 2 - Some way of adding in transfer planning over several windows not just one. Well run clubs are planning several windows in advance and this would be great in FM - contract status, contract length, age of player, club positions etc all play a role and it would be great to have this in the game in some way
  8. The more I play the game the more I feel that this is an area which could be improved massively SI have done a great job implementing the capability to create your own tactical style and one can only imagine the impact each slider combination has on the game and the ME. Yes there are areas where this can be improved (more flexibility in the position of CM's would be nice) but in general it feels as though all the building blocks for tactic creation & execution are there However where I think it could be improved is in how those tactics are applied to players in both set-up and then in shouts/team talks during a game It all feels a bit mechanical and not human. For example take full backs I want to be able to tell one full back to stop the cross - just don't let your man beat you and put the ball into the box - that's an instruction that behind the scenes moves some sliders. I now want analysis on his performance against his instructions and if needed I want to put him on specific training to improve (which I should be able to see in his stats / statistics over time) Take another example I want my winger to cross early or get past his man quickly and get the ball in the box - that's an instruction I can apply to that role or player that, again, behind the scenes affects a number of sliders. I might also want that winger to come back and double up on the opposition winger to help out his full back I guess what I am asking for is instruction based tactics. The formation, the tempo, the width overall, the roles of the players all feel like they happen the way the game is structured today however many of the other aspects run at defence or not, pass into space etc all of these things, IMO, could be sucked into more of an individual instructions approach that could be a lot more layman And then when in teamtalks use this to build on overall team talks - I am not happy with your performance! Why? Well fullbacks you're not doing a good enough job of stopping the cross - get tighter or wingers drop and help them out; striker you're wandering all over the place, get in the box and stay there; CM's play the ball simple for now, the raking balls across the pitch are getting intercepted and they're breaking on us - this is how I imagine team talks happening at the top level and would love to see that sort of realism in the game
  9. 2 requests: Can you move the "instalments" option closer to the actual fee or integrate it together e.g. 10m 2 instalments 6/12 month instalments etc. Right now it is unclear whether if you add instalments to the transfer fee right at the bottom it divides the transfer fee you've set by that OR adds them as additional amounts on top Can you add competition achievement like you can in the game And on the subject of achievements and transfers can you allow multiple e.g. euro qual & champ qual as separate available options?
  10. Different leagues have different ways of second clubs being set up e.g. B'teams seem to typically dealt with by affiliates while II teams etc are under reserve teams Because I hate the way the game deals with players moving between main club and b/II/u23 teams (creating lines of 0's for playing 1 non-competitive game, calling players into the B teams for seemingly no reason etc) I typically disable the links. With the likes of French/German clubs you can simply disable the use of those teams and that seems to be that; they are gone never to be created. Happy days! With the likes of Benfica or Barcelona you can disable the link by changing the affiliation (and if you really want to changing the B club name to something else) BUT often the clubs then start creating new B teams and, from what I can tell you can't disable that currently So... would it be possible - in that reserves page - to make it possible to disable the use of B/reserve/2nd teams so that the game doesn't create them later down the line?
  11. If you have players on multiple shortlists (or just another shortlist beyond the default shortlist) add an option to remove from all shortlists alongside removing them from shortlists one at a time. E.g. you have a shortlist for different positions, you purchase the player meaning they are now on 2, upon confirmation you want to remove them from your shortlist having a remove all would save you having to remove them from each shortlist they are on When advertising for staff positions allow the option of stating how many roles e.g. 3 x coach meaning when you fill one slot the advert stays open until all three have been filled or you choose to end it - would save having to re-advertise if you have only offered one role so far
  12. Couple of thoughts / requests: 1 - Immediate reports - often time is an issue and it would be great to get a "what we know" style report on a player. The bigger the club the better the general knowledge of players; their pro's and cons; their statistics etc will be. It would be great to tap into these in a kind of analyst/scout report that gives a snapshot into what is known and where gaps exist for example - the analyst report would contain the data they would have immediate access to (games played, goals scored etc) but to know how many games played in a certain position, the number of runs, tackles made etc it would require a more detailed analyst report. Similarly scout reports would know maybe the top line things based on what they have heard, what they have seen in non-specific scouting assignments etc but to get to detailed pro's and con's would require a more detailed scouting mission - basically the sort of report that could come back in a couple of hours per player... Ultimately it would be good to tap into what is known when you don't have time to brief an analyst & wait a few days or ask a scout to go watch them (and maybe wait a couple of weeks) To this end it would also be good that for some clubs (well run ones?) the club won't sign off spending money on a player without a certain amount of knowledge being in place... 2 - Reports based on questions. Are they capable of being better than X player? Could they be retrained as a CB? Are they a winger or an inside forward? Will they fit into our dressing room? The reports in the game right now are often detailed but they aren't set up to easily answer questions a manager might have. Its often occurred to me that the report should be the basis of a conversation with your staff (maybe as part of the scouting meetings) where you could ask these types of questions and get a more succinct feel for the player. If you ask questions that are unknown that could form the basis of a further report...
  13. There are probably other examples within the game but in places like preferences>match>highlights would it be possible to add a tick box to apply settings to all human players / teams so that if I set the match settings (or other settings that affect things in the game) I only need to do it once as a base. If I then choose to change things elsewhere (in the match for example) it could then apply just to that team Also - with shortlists would it be possible to have some kind of option to have cross-human team shortlists; appreciate that in the majority of cases a shortlist is unique but when I am running a multi-team game it would be good to have the club version of the national pool page from which to add to my own shortlist e.g. add to multi player pool, save multi-player pool
  14. When using the editor (mainly pre-game but guess in-game too) would it be possible to add to/change the contracts element. Currently you enter a start date & a contract end date which makes sense BUT sometimes you're not sure when the end should be e.g. some South American, Scandinavian leagues etc so it would be helpful to have a contract length option so I specify when they move / contract starts(ed) and then choose the contract length. Based on the club the game would interpret a 3 year deal with the appropriate end date Also on the future transfer tabs can you add the ability to include competition success as additional fees beyond just games, goals & internationals
  15. Probably not a bug but definitely something that seems wrong Players moving between senior & B/II/U23 teams getting history lines for both when they only played non-competitive games for one. Understand if they play cup or league games for both - cups are annoying as they are 0's but that's another gripe - but when they get them for simply being transferred between (as AI teams seem to love to do) it gets very messy very quickly
  16. When offering a player for loan/transfer would it be possible to add a tick box (like for exclude foreign teams, rivals etc) to exclude offering to human managers to avoid unnecessary player offers coming in Also, for loans, where you can exclude clubs outside top leagues would it be possible to add divisions to send loan offers to? e.g league one and above etc
  17. Would it be possible to add the ask agent feature to your own players for renewing contract and expected terms? Its a nice feature for transfer targets however I'd find it more useful to be able to ask the player or their agent about their interest in negotiating a new contract - especially at the end of one season ahead of a transfer window where I need to understand if the player wants to commit to elongating their stay or whether they aren't and I might need to think about a replacement!
  18. Just as an update to this; player unhappy that a loan promise has not been met I have offered the player out and had no interest in him (admittedly I wanted 100% of his wages) and he accused me of lying about the lack of interest. First I should have the option to tell him to wind his neck in but secondly there should be an answer that calls that out - not one offer for him and his agent has done nothing to help him. As it is I have transfer listed and demoted the t*** for his attitude but it does feel like this area does need some work
  19. In training.... When I ask a member of staff about a new trait for a player its always a negative reaction (do they ever agree?) and when you ask them for their recommendation its always something completely unrelated e.g. I am asking about finishing and they come back with a tackling recommendation. So 3 requests: Can there be an option to ask a staff member what they think we should train the player on (e.g. as an alternative to me asking them to start something) Can the staff members be aligned to how I have it set up in training>coach assignments e.g. defensive, tactical traits coming up with the coaches I have assigned to defensive tactical training If I do ask a staff member to start some training e.g. finishing, place shots can the alternative recommendation be about finishing e.g hits shots with power etc NOT some other part of their game that is totally unrelated? In tactics.... Would it be possible to implement some form of expected heat map based on the shape, mentality & roles I have chosen. The individual role information is helpful but doesn't help me look at my tactics based on different role interactions e.g. my wingback and my inside forward etc or to build a tactic based on where I want players to spend their time on the pitch or even adapt my tactics in games to exploit/defend against my opposition . To expand... A view on the tactics screen (that you can toggle on and off) based on the roles I have chosen and where players (in that role) would be expected to be in a standard game Heat maps that change based on things I change e.g. Team mentality (how it changes based on me going more or less attacking Player mentality (e.g. from defend, to support to attack) Role elements I choose (if I tick stay wider, sit narrower etc) Player capabilities e.g a natural player in that role would behave differently to someone competent or not competent in that position/role Player traits e.g. someone who hugs the line vs cuts in would change the shape Additionally to this would it be possible in the analysis of opposition games (in the lead up) and analysis of the match (during) to have some kind of views that allow me to see the typical positions being taken up by the opposition players, the areas of the pitch that dangerous situations are coming from etc to allow me to either proactively exploit (get wide behind their advanced fullbacks, drop into the space just in front of their defence) or defend against (get a second player out into the space the winger is attacking) opposition tactics Thanks

Would it be possible to delegate elements of pre-season to the staff BUT with direction Currently you can delegate things like arranging friendlies and the management of friendly matches to staff; you can also delegate training too. But what you can't do - and what I'd love to see enabled is some form of instructions For example Delegate arranging friendlies - with direction over the cadence, the calibre of opposition etc maybe a template that you can create that flexes based on the small changes in dates year on year Delegate training - with objectives e.g. build fitness, train new formation etc Delegate management of friendlies - with objectives e.g. get the whole squad fit (more rotation), get new players integrated (certain players playing many minutes), get players used to certain positions/roles. With regards to when staff manage friendlies would it also be possible to include some kind of mechanic that gives playing time indications to the staff. I am thinking something like the training screen where you can set different levels of training based on fitness; it would be good to be able to set rules that say under x% fitness don't play them (to stop staff picking players returning from injury before they are fit OR only play them for a % of the game to build up fitness etc
  21. Would it be possible to add squad status / playing pathway to both the pre-game and in-game editor? Most specifically for the pre-game editor in terms of the player's squad status at a team and then in future transfers too. Often when updating the database e.g. a player is announced to sign for a new team and reflecting this in FM they come to the squad with a very different squad status than I would imagine e.g. squad player rather than youth prospect/breakthrough prospect etc. It would be helpful to set this in the editor (including a pathway for young players) so the game reflects this
  22. Given the level of customisation possible on the team screen (other screens too) would it be possible to add a function to sort by multiple columns right now you can sort by an individual column but what would be great is to sort by (for example) team selection first and then position and then maybe name alphabetically - essentially a version of excel's custom sort on that screen
  23. Hey guys Can anyone point me towards where - in a custom skin - you might find the xml relating to the plater history page? I want to be able to amend the text colour of the club names under certain circumstances - specifically loans, B-Teams and other "human clubs" so that when I look at a player's history (at my club) the only text that is changed, colour wise, is my team and not loans, b'teams or other clubs controlled by other human players I have looked at a couple of the xml files across a couple of skins but nothing is obvious as to what would be controlling this Any help would be appreciated
  24. I was wondering whether (ignoring the niggling feeling that managers don't negotiate for players) when it comes to transfer negotiations) both Incoming & Out going it would be slightly better to split the process up rather than the current approach What I mean is: 1 - Clubs sit down to agree on the player valuation - we value the player at a minimum of X as of this moment (payment upfront) but want a package totalling X (willing to consider add-ons). For younger players or players going to a bigger club this might skew more towards total package vs right now, more established players it might be the other way around. At this point (when one club agrees a deal in principle with you) The shape of the deal is given to the agent so that any other clubs who come along afterwards know the starting point for negotiations for X period of time The shape of the deal is given to the other clubs who have made a bids (like the ultimatum element in the game right now) to either continue or drop out 2 - When the shape of the package is agreed then the details need finalising as separate negotiations - The initial amount how is that structured x right now and x over a TBA time period Any add-ons - what are they how much and so on Additional clauses such as sell-on fees, buy backs etc Some other thoughts: Each stage, for each club being negotiated with, might take a few rounds with potential lets leave it there and come back to it in a few days breaks (rather than total breakdowns) If negotiations break down at different points then (unless a lot of time has passed) clubs will sit down at the point where the deal failed most of the time If you agree parts of the deals (part one or part two) these are then able to be offered to the other interested clubs as the starting point for negotiations
  25. I keep having an issue where I negotiate a transfer fee with a sell-on clause and accept one/many bids Subsequent bids come through with the right amount of money BUT without the sell-on clause. I can't negotiate these offers so just have to reject them. Not sure if this is a bug but it would seem like I should be able to at least negotiate the fact that I would require the same offer I have already accepted elsewhere In previous versions of the game I seem to recall an option to use last negotiation but that seems to have disappeared
