  1. Yes, this is the public Beta version, yes he dropping in very well and comes deep he allows my mezzala/Central Midfielder (A) to sometimes to move into his channel which creates chaos which is good and unpredictable. For me not having players in positions makes the game more fun because players invade the space in different ways if that makes sense. I love the defensive soundness to this formation 15 clean sheets in 23 games.
  2. Oh, one last thing do not be scared to try new stuff I finished 16th last season and kept the job by a thread (9 points in 5 games at the start of this)...
  3. Conclusion. I'm not going to break it down massively it took 3 seasons and a half to come to this tactic after first creating this one. I like to score a variety of different goals and only really have 4 constants 1. No wide men in the final third from the start 2.4 Central Midfielders 3.Attack-minded full backs who are quick and can get up and down 4.Borja Mayoral who is my favorite player ever and has been for the last 3 FM'S. Maybe my set plays do give me an edge but I'm at a small club with little money and can not compete with the big clubs so I guess I need all the edge I can. It is much more stable and moves along nicely to my next challenge how to get Szoboszlai in my team. I play most games on 90 minutes and have racked up quite a lot of time (i do not like computers just FM). From Inverting the Pyramid to Throw in wonders I have read so much and must thank @Rashidi
  4. Corners After reading soccernomics and the Numbers Game and other publications about corners they are overrated most of the times so I wanted to change something. So did I wanted to de-clutter the area and have my best headers go against theirs so I did that. It helps to have a great set pieces taker in Gronli and good headers of the ball in my center-backs. So here it is only scored 7 directly from corners but have scored around 10-15 with flicks and rebound.
  5. Throw Ins Is this a cheat? I simply do not know I know the AI does not learn from its mistakes and allows me to be very dangerous at a throw-in due to its lack of movement centrally defensively. As the picture shows it set to long but because my players doesn't have the attributes to deliver he throws it always short to the Striker closest to the ball, creating an instant overload with my 3 players lurking. The only player to press the ball is the front defender creating a really dangerous overload. My player either takes the front defender on or lays it back to one of the three allowing a really good opportunity on, or he flys it towards the back stick where my Tall center-back is waiting.
  6. Well after my old tactic which did well (finished 7th predicted 18th) I wanted something more stable I wanted to move forward and not always get done by the same thing( 2 striker formations) I have always loved 4 central midfielders and love their combinations and I have always gone for 2 strikers. This formation like my last is all about fullbacks mainly the right sided one and my mezzala who chips in with many goals. The formation is 1. I do not use PI as I find them well balanced as they are with my Right full back bombing on and providing me with real attacking width 2. Key men are my covering Centre Back who has 19 for pace as you see below we play very high but he swallows up the balls over the top. 3.Mezzala to be decent in and around the box as you will see mind has 9 league goals by Christmas which is not something I have ever had on FM in all its incarnations is a goalscoring central midfielder. 4. I tend to play my quickest center-forward in the deep-lying position because he can get back to front quicker and will not be behind the play when we move forward. 5. I find the carrrilero who is my most defensive player really who is a DMC but played in that positions helps to be a DMC for balance I tried a more offensively aggressive player and it didn't work as well. FINALLY, THE SET PLAYS WHICH MAYBE A A FLAW IN THE SYSTEM BUT IT SOMETHING I WORKED ON (and when your not an engineer or game buster or algorithm bloke just a football geek).
  7. 6. Yes they are but the left hand sided one is the right footer who is asked to play wider he cut in through the channel the right back is the classic switch. As for player instructions, I ask my full backs to play wider that is it, I tend to play all my games on full 90 minutes so i get a better feeling and make little changes game by game. However, I have changed the way I play a little with more emphasis on set pieces and I still play 4 central midfielders but have a more solid structure and is currently working well I have gone 19 games plus cup games unbeaten but throw in and corners are a big play and I have finally found the elusive Goal scoring Midfielder....
  8. 2. They came with the skin I use. 3. I finished 7th it worked against some sides if sides went with 2 up top I tended to struggle more and it was because of quick transitions because of the split leaving me exposed. 4. Yes the halfback has played long killer passes as a pi I agree we needed another way of creating and he sent long balls forward as well as my Ball winner at times. 5. As the picture shows they do not get as involved and become a little isolated we go mainly through the backs and the outball is the fullbacks.
  9. yes no issue I have actually modified this tactic it was great and we finished 7 but we at times were too open and a quick counter 1. They did split my right-sided center back went even further in the split due to the positioning of the HB
  10. I feel I'm close to a very good tactic I want to be a little better defensively but I do not want to ruin the way we attack which brings me great enjoyment possibly the most in the whole series. I do have a more aggressive tactic which I sometimes turn too if we are trailing by more than two. If anybody has any questions or tips they would be greatly received. I'm no tactic guru as you can tell i play the game and try to put players into my vision of how to think football should be played. I must say thank you to @Rashidi I enjoy your videos and have learned so much from them which has added an extra element to the game
  11. KEY PLAYERS HALFBACK WHO DOMINATES THE PASSING STATS WITH A AVERAGE OF OVER 90 PER GAME CENTER BACKS HAVE TO BE GOOD IN THE AIR THIS IS THE AREA I NEED TO WORK ON PRESSING FORWARD NEEDS GOOD OFF THE BALL TO PULL THE DEFENSE ALL OVER THE PLACE. FULLBACKS NEED TO BE QUICK AND ATTACKING AND NEED GOOD STAMINA ALL PLAYERS HAVE TO HAVE DECENT PASSING AND COMPOSURE
  12. As you can see with the pictures we dominate possession I move my back line deeper to allow for better passing options with our team more open yet compact due to the set formation.
  13. The match plan is to slow the play down to allow for my Wide full backs to push forward and attack the space i use the deeper lying forward to hold the ball and push the midfield box forward with always a spare man in midfield. Combined with great off the ball movement by my pressing forward wh greats space for himself or others around him. The box overwhelms the back line when we move forward allowing big space for the fullbacks.
  14. Sick to death of copying tactics and not getting the feel of how we play so I designed something when trailing Manchester United at Home 0-3 and then went on to win 4-3..... The aim is to defend narrow and attack with added width being Spazzinola on the left who is right footed and Zappacosta who breaks free. We play a fluid system and the aim is to create a central block and aim to make teams go wide against us with me having two good central defender headers of the ball. My center back splits due to the halfback with both central defenders set as ballplayers. AIM OF TACTIC OVERLOAD IN BOTH ATTACK AND DEFENCE ALWAYS HAVE OPTIONS MAIN ATTACKING THREAT RIGHT AND LEFT FULLBACK PLAY THE GAME I WANT IT TO PLAY AND BE DYNAMIC AND CREATE LOTS OF DIFFERENT GOALS
