I am playing as Paris FC (aim was to knock PSG off their perch), got promoted to Ligue 1 at the 2nd attempt, finished 17th on the last day of the season to stay up but it was a real struggle. My players just aren't good enough, everything is a weakness on my team report.
I'd rather not sign older players as wages are too high and I want young players to sell on for a profit. I'm not sure my club reputation is high enough to attract Ligue 1 players. How do I get round this?
The tactic i've been using isn't exactly defensive, it's 4-1-2-3 with a low tempo, short passing, high(ish) pressing (my team are terrible at defending crosses, which is why im playing higher).
Do I need to Park The Bus?

no you dont but the newgens from that country will be very limited. generally if a certain region or nation is known for good regens i always set as playable , you will get a better mix of them
would view-only work?

Hey, first post on the forum.
Basically, i've got a question re scouting newgens. If you're scouting a region, do you have to have the leagues in that region loaded for newgens to come through?
I've been scouting West Africa for a few months and received nothing from my scout...
Any other newgen hunting tips would be appreciated0

This is more or less what got me promoted and is pretty much what I attempted to continue with in Ligue 1. I originally used vertical tiki-taka as a base because this is the style I wanted to play and the style I most like to watch in real life, to have control of possession but with purposeful vertical passes to break the lines.
I think I should move to this (below).
...because 2 of my best players are strikers (who may also develop into excellent Ligue 1 players) and I have 2 good left footed centre backs from my youth intake which I want to develop.
