I have been reading and surfing through the posts while playing my own YAC with Caledonian Braves in the Scottish Premier league. Still on page 50.
I got the below in my youth intake. I am absolutely gobsmacked.

I'm really fortunate with my Sant Andreu save, I inherited a complete squad with youth players that have developed beyond my expectations in the first three seasons. Also my club was already professional so I could attract staff with the right personalities. Spain has a lot of staff to chose from. Good personalities train well, which improves attributes, which improves performance, which improves morale.
I am micromanaging the morale, tactics, training, match fitness and finances a lot. I watch most games on Key highlights, but I do watch some games back to optimize how we defend set pieces or what happens with build up after a goal kick. That's how I made my Opposition instructions, it really helped the pressing.
It's also the reason I'm only 3 seasons in compared to some others who have done 23, LOL. I am really hooked on this save and this way of playing. (It's my first challenge). As I explained in my opening post, it's personal. I want revenge on the Barcelona board. I can't let Johan Cruyff down...

@OlivierL I have been looking for graphics files for Caley Braves and noticed you pop up quite a fair bit during searches. I also observed you have a facepack for the players. Could you share it? I would also be interested in the kits and stadium pics as well.
I am currently doing an offline youth academy challenge with Caley Braves and would love to have the graphics. I was able to get them finally promoted to League 2 after a number (understatement) of load/reload cycles.

Ok this makes it much clearer. Yes I think in FM20, they were in the FNL. I had managed at Wil from 2019 to 2026 so I thought taking them over may fall into this. No matter for me, I see playing with them as an enforced youth academy challenge but not within the rules of this particular youth academy challenge due to the playable leagues and my reputation being built at Wil.

A bit confused. Why exactly are they ineligible wrt playing in Europe? In FM20 they can play in Europe.

Greetings. I am still on FM20 but I want to try this with Cheratnovo in Russia. Is that fine? They are in the FNL in 2026.

In earlier FMs (FM2015 specifically), my board had the 'Develop youth players' active. How does one get this in FM2020?

In addition to the answer above, I think yes you can but it would be noted. I did same. I liked the look of Caledonian Braves from Olivier's post so I tried to get them. After 50-60 reloads, I gave up and downloaded a Scottish structure so that I could play with them.
