Getting the "base" data out of the editor is probably the most painful part. I can see why SI don't make it easy, the ME and the DB are probably their crowning achievements, but it's still annoying. Even with my method, all I'm really doing is getting the universal IDs. I could extend that out and do the same process to get every field for an object, but that would be a mammoth task for little benefit (personally at least).
So I don't see why not. When you open the tool and start a new project, all it's really doing is creating an Excel file based on the empty template. If you take that elsewhere to populate it, then bring it back, it's an "existing" project now and you can do what you like with it.
So yeah, create your new project on the Windows machine, get to the step where it tells you to edit your input file, transfer that over to wherever you want to work on it, then once you're done just copy it back into the same location. Open the tool again, enter the project name, it'll pick up the changes. Let me know if there's any issues with that.
On a general note, I think it's probably not a huge amount of work to get the tool working on a mac given it's just Python rather than Android/iOS sort of distinction. The only issue is I don't really have a proper machine to test it on, so would probably be a bit hit and hope. I'll look into it, if it's easy enough to get the tool at least packaged that way I could fire it over to you and see if it works.
I've been trying to get a hold of the guy behind FM Scout's Genie Scout as early versions of their work allow for it to happen but for legal reasons, they can no longer release it publicly in full with the facility to export attributes.

This looks incredible. Shame there isn't a program that allows you to export all the personal data from older FM games, would halve the time it takes to create retro databases

Just exploring some skinning options. Is it possible to add match stats (ss1) to the fixture details panel (ss2)? I'm also looking to add team names under the logos. What's the best way to go about it?

Is there a way to edit a skin to show the first line of a players club history in the player search as a column?
So instead of their current club it shows their first club

Of course! I've toyed with it but liked that one.
It's like 395 of player overview panel.xml
<!-- COMPARISON --> <container class="bordered_box" default_width="300" minimum_width="300" priority="1"> <layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="all" inset="0" apply_to_children="true"/> <widget class="player_additional_stats_panel" id="Plgm" file="player/tcs/overview/selector/small/morale" width="-1" priority="1"> <record id="object_property" get_property="objt" set_property="objt"/> </widget> </container>
'morale' is just the name of that box but I think I actually have a career stats one in that directory or you can move your own into place.
Thanks

There's nothing in @Darth Rob's bug report thread to suggest it has been fixed.
Can anyone verify? There's conjecture, but I've yet to see it work in testing. Can confirm that it's fixed. My retro regens file for the FM21 01/02 database worked perfectly

2023/24 Season
Northern Premier League Division 1 West - 1st
FA Cup - 4th Qualifying Round v Boreham Wood (H)
FA Trophy - 2nd Qualifying Round v Bury AFC (A)
Northern Premier League Challenge Cup - Winners v Gainsborough Trinity
Really happy with the way the season went. League winners as expected and a win in the Challenge Cup. We were disappointing in the FA Trophy but we did really well in the FA Cup, taking Boreham Wood to a replay. The challenge for us at the moment is keeping hold of players with our finances looking a bit worrying right now.

2022/23 Season
North West Counties League Premier Division - 1st
FA Cup - 2nd Qualifying Round v Braintree (A)
FA Vase - SF v Carlisle City (H)
North West Counties League Cup - R2 v Ramsbottom United (H)
An incredible season even if we did completely bottle the cups this season. That's probably a bit harsh as we did get FM'ed twice but what can you do. One thing I've noticed in my time at Lairds is the high turnover of players and how important your chief scout is. My chief scout has come up with some cracking recommendations, including Rob Harker who is an absolute beast up top.

What a fantastic first season! Certainly wasn't expecting to win the Vase. We started off slowly but once all the new lads gelled, we were superb. Never looked like dropping points with the 4-3-3 formation working wonders.

13th January - Winger James Hardy joins Aldershot on a free transfer.
2nd April - Youth intake day! It'll be interesting to see if any of these will be able to push for a first-team place in the future. I could show you all of them but I'll stick with the top 5 in the image below.
Daniel Thomson, Ray Archbold, Jason Cartwright, Harvey Hills, Billy Hesketh
CHAMPIONS! We will be playing in the National League next season.
8th April - Great news, we've extended the loan of JOE Willis for another year.
14th April - Costing a bit more than I'd like but we have Manasse Mampala for another year.
11th May - Another course completed, another one begins. A massive thanks to the board for putting their faith in me.
2021/22 Season
National League North - 1st
FA Cup - R2 vs Cambridge (A)
FA Trophy - QF vs Chesterfield (A)
What a season! To say we romped to the title would be a massive understatement. I doubted the quality of our squad before the season but the way the 4-3-3 has worked with them has been incredible, we've been scoring for fun. A good run in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy just add the cherry on top of the season as well. The hard work begins now to get rid of the fringe players and replace them with quality players that can take us to the next level. The board wants us to avoid relegation next season but I think we can easily push for the playoffs with the right signings.

Manager Thoughts
What an incredible start to my managerial career. Going into the new year, we sit top of the pile in the league and are a safe bet for promotion. We had a slow start but after that, we have smashed it with our only loss since August coming in the FA Cup away at League One opposition. Our defensive record isn't the best but we are easily outscoring the opposition, with two of our strikers on over 20 goals already.1 -
Pre Season 2021/22
So we've finally reached the start of the league season after a busy pre-season period, here's how it went, starting with our transfer activity.
Transfers
In
You'd expect my first transfer window as a manager to be a very busy one but it wasn't. When I joined the club, I noticed we had a lot of poor players tied into contracts. This meant that I couldn't build a new squad from scratch due to wage budget issues and had to rely on loans. What I ended up with I'm reasonably happy with. There is some incredible talent in the squad for the level of football that we are at but it could have been a lot better. That said, I truly believe that we can gain promotion this year with the squad that we now have. That said, I am still looking to add a few more faces to bulk the squad up a bit if I can but I think the budget issues will see to that.
Out
Just the one departure and it was that which allowed me to actually make any signings at all.
Fixtures
Our friendlies went quite well all things considered. There are a lot of names of trialists on that goalscoring list which is frustrating but it is what it is. I'll just have to work with what I've got for this season and rebuild afterward.
Tactics
Speaking of which, here is that tactic. I've gone for an attacking 4-3-3 with the aim to outscore the opposition. I'm not a manager who is going to sit back and take a 1-0 win, attack for me is the best form of defense. Whether I keep that up remains to be seen, it depends on how successful this approach is.
