  1. I want the tactics editor to stop changing my duties if i have too few defend duties. Eg. RGA - CM(A) BBM is changed to RGA - CM(D) BBM when played with CWBs on both sides, so I have to change it (CM duty) whenever I make a tactical change somewhere else. I want them to play like that, it doesn't concern me if the game doesn't think it is logical.
  2. Don't waste your money. Go, have a drink. Or two. Or five.
  3. I want the defenders to stop being moronic. When they have the ball under opponent pressing, they tend to keep it and stand still, so opponents can take it quite easily. Teammates offer no off the ball movement for short passes, which are essential in many systems of today's football, so the only solution is panic clearance by long ball. Somewhere. Anywhere. Mostly - directly to the opponent. And I'm talking about top quality defenders. And pressing. Give us more pressing options. Individual/collective/"broken", options to choose areas to press and areas where pressing is not an option. Allow Hold up ball to be editable for all the roles. Eg. Gundogan is a playmaker that doesn't hold up ball. Not all target men hold up ball either. Stop the deep lying playmaker in DM position from coming between central defenders and causing whole line to lose ball when pressed. His role should be to stand a little in front of the defenders (NOT between them, or worse, next to the one of them) and offer passing option when CD has the ball already. Also, could be an added option - something like - drop between CDs on goal kicks Y/N. New roles should also be introduced - Central winger, Inside forward on MRL positions. And for God's sake fix F9 and CWB - these roles are completely overpowered. I considered using both, but the game becomes far too easy. Too easy to play (almost every striker is capable to effectively play F9, while it is one of the hardest roles to carry out in real football), almost impossible for AI to defend.
  4. No, they attack in a very fluid-ish manner. It's classic 4-4-2 in defence and no shape in attack. That's why I considered Roam from positions.
  5. I wasn't talking about "forgetting" defence, just not keeping tight formation (two banks of four), which is quite important for copying Gladbach. Collectively - yes, but not "rigid" enough.
  6. Wouldn't Fluid or Very Fluid lead to total lack of shape when defending? I considered F9, but its movement (opposite of SS) is not quite present in Gladbach's play :/
  7. They do move when in control of the ball, when they defend, they usually keep a well-defined shape, two banks of four. That's why I consider using Roam from positions. http://www.bundesliga.com/en/liga/news/2013/0000282284.php http://www.thehardtackle.com/2013/borussia-moenchengladbach-teamgeist-tactics-and-transfers/ http://soccerfootfan.wordpress.com/2014/03/15/tactical-analysis-borussia-dortmund-1-2-borussia-monchengladbach/ http://afootballreport.com/post/17922664123/the-monchengladbach-way-borussia-monchengladbach http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1032809-borussia-monchengladbach-3-1-bayern-munich-a-tactical-review http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/12/04/borussia-monchengladbach-dortmund-tactics/ http://www.zonalmarking.net/2013/08/13/bayern-munich-3-1-borussia-monchengladbach-evolution-rather-than-revolution-for-guardiola/ http://www.borussia.de/english/season/news/borussia-news/news-detailansicht.html?tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=11066&cHash=7d401058f86706f236fc680d7dc7937a http://www.thehardtackle.com/2013/borussia-monchengladbachs-fab-four/ I read these articles, but still don't have clear idea. Possible starting point: GK: Goalkeeper-Defend DR: Full Back-Support DL: Full Back-Support DC: Central Defender-Defend DC: Central Defender-Defend DMCR: Defensive Midfielder-Defend* DMCL: Defensive Midfielder-Support MR: Wide Midfielder-Attack ML: Wide Midfielder-Attack FCR: Deep Lying Forward-Attack** FCL: Deep Lying Forward-Support** *This one should have some playmaker-like instructions, but classic DLP role tends to go between the stoppers during goal kicks, which causes chaos in case the ball is lost (which happens quite often in the game), so DM-D with More risky passes could be an option. **Also, a combination of Shaddow striker-Attack and Deep Lying Forward-Support is an option, especially since Raffael arrived. Individual short passsing for everyone except full backs and goalkeeper is also an option, because passing is generally as short as possible.
  8. Anyone tried to create this in fm? I was thinking about 4-4-2 or 4-2DM-2-2, Balanced, Counter, Shorter passing, Pass into space, More roaming, high tempo and more epressive, but I can't quite decide on the roles. Also, narrow/wide? I would like to hear some ideas
  9. What I don't see in FM12 Moronic defenders. Moronic goalkeepers. Top strikers constantly missing great chances. "He never meant it" goals from the wing. What I do see in FM12? Possibilities. In FM12, poachers were overpowered. I agree. I don't use them, since I like to experiment with tactics and try different approaches. Now CWBs look quite overpowered and nobody complains. Why? In FM14, utterly borring tiki-takanaccio is unplayable, AI teams (for example Bayern) do not even remotely play like they do in RL, too low possesion percentages, too many misplaced passes. 3-man defences were way better in FM12 and 13 than in FM14. And yes, I am playing FM12, because I find it less buggy than FM14. Let me put it this way - maybe it is not more realistic, but it definitely is less unrealistic than this year's edition.
  10. FM14 - a month ago. FM12 - today. I installed FM12 again somewhere in april, when it became obvious that FM14 is a dissapointment.
  11. CM03/04 had textual instructions. Not as many as now, but textual. Sliders were a step up, not down. For example, in FM12 and 13, tiki-taka could be almost perfectly replicated with passing sliders, so after scoring, my defence was passing the ball between themselves, not even wanting to come forward and try to score another goal. Now, even with low tempo, low mentality and short passing, players tend to try and exploit the space opponent leaves. What if I don't want that? What if I want to keep the ball after 1:0 and - do nothing, like Spain on EURO 2012? Show me how is that possible in FM14.
  12. Mazzari's Napoli would be the best example. Juventus also, but they do not utilise counter attacks often.
  13. Italian teams do this all the time. DCs split to cover wide areas, because they can quickly move into the central area when needed. The second part of the sentence is not so well implemented in FM.
  14. Probably their Youth rating is too high as well. Unfortunately, yes. This is not SI's error, but research. It happens in many other countries, also.
  15. It's not ME, but research. English players are too good.
  16. Keepers are generally morons. Catching crosses is pathetic, rushing out when the ball is crossed and leaving unguarded goal happens too often. Worst ME ever. First version of FM14 (even Beta) was way better, even though it did have flaws, but not this big.
  17. Why would Vidal-like player dictate tempo? His role is to exploit the space in attack and defend perfectly, so, I'd rather focus on defensive PPMs, like Dives into Tackles and Tight marking, while training him for BBM in order to develop both defensive and attacking atributes equally.
  18. Bring back the old tactics system. And fix ME. Everything else but ME is far less important.
