    Ítróttarfelagið Føroyar in the Danish lower leagues should produce player from Faroe Islands where made by students from Faroe Islands and have mostly players from there both on regulare and youth team when you start up a save they are however non playable by normal means as there are the denmark serie between where they start and the playable 3 division so they would need to  promote twice by them self to become playable witch seem unlikely, as they sometimes aren´t even in the save depending by your db setup. But they tecnically should qualify to be on the list

    (have not tested that they produce faroe island talent but would be suprised if they didn´t sinces most of there team like 80 -90 % is faroe island players even if they are greyed out )

    also Vatanspor from the Danish lower divison might be worth looking into if they produce (enough) players from the Balkan area ,as they have a few of those in there team and are known to have alot of foreign / double national players IRL.

    Hi, old HR for the Faroe Islands here - I can tell you that they don't ;) Føroyar doesn't have any youth teams in real life (and haven't really had at any point), so they don't have any youth teams in FM as well. This means that the club won't produce any youth players at all.

    Started a save in Faroe Islands and I picked up this young goalkeeper. I never bothered checking his physical stats but I recently noticed he is 119kg! Not great for a 20yo kid.

    This guy is actually an assistant researcher for the Faroe Islands and he created himself (hence why he know his weight was at that level ;) )

    Which one would you recommend?

    EDIT: I'm testing the one by Weiry right now. It seems like the most complete, even though I have some worries about 2nd/3rd teams getting promoted over each other in the pyramid. I'll find out I guess. :)

    I think Weiry's is the best one currently. You'll have that problem no matter what, as FM is not able to keep the third teams below the second teams :(

    You can set qualifications for teams based on their positions. This will also be added to rules screen of stage 0. Of course you can call stages whatever you want - i added this names just to explain easier.

    In stage 1 (also group stage with 3 groups) you will set group index for qualified teams. You can use "get league stage teams" option also instead of this.

    After that set individual groups and thats it.

    Dont forget to set ranking level in both stages.

    Finally got around to do this, but it seems that I can't verify the rules now. It's not picking up the teams for the second stage.

    Here's the file if you want to take a look.

    I understand what you're trying to do, but I don't see where it is that you're stuck? I would imagine it's putting the teams in the right groups for the second group phase. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe there's a better way to do it, but one thing that could be possible is having four group stages actually. The first stage will have three groups, and the other three stages will have one group/league each, and you call teams to their respective league/group depending of their position in the first stage.

    I imagine you could use the "Individual Group Rules" section. You'd have two group stages, and after the first stage, you spread teams depending of their results in their respective group. Then you use Individual Group Rules you customise the behaviour of each group separately. For example, you'd say top team of Group A are Champions, but you untick that for group B and C.

    You can also set ranking levels for every group so this is not problem. Yeah like Xavier said - you can choose group stage + 3 separate league stages or group stage + group stage. I think second option is better because of history issues.

    Haha, in my mind, I had also explained where I'm stuck... But clearly, I didn't do that in my first post :seagull:

    So, what I can't figure out (and this might just be me that's stupid) is how to transfer the teams from the first group stage to the second group stage correctly. I have the groups set up, but can't seem to draw the first two teams from the three groups into the first group etc. etc. Any pointers to where I might do that?

  6. Hi,

    I am trying to create the faroese 3. deild in the advanced editor, but am currently stuck. I'll try and describe the league:

    In the first part of the league, we have three groups with 6 teams in each. These six teams will play each other two times in the period from ~ 1/3/2020 to ~ 31/5/2020.

    Then, the league is split into three (A, B, C) new groups, where the placing in the three first groups determine which group the team gets in. Each team then starts with 0 points again.

    The two first teams in each of the old groups is placed into group A. The two second teams in each of the old groups is placed into group B and the two last teams in each of the old groups is placed into group C. They then play each other twice in each group from ~1/6/2020 to ~ 31/10/2020 (with a mid-season break from ~ 20/6/2020 to ~18/8/2020).

    The winner of group A will get automatic promotion to 2.deild. If the team in 2nd or 3rd in group A is eligible for promotion (I know how to control this), then they play a playoff game against the second relegation team from 2.deild.

    Any help? :)

    Hi everyone,

    I want to start a save which purpouse is winning the world cup with the faroe islands (or at least be competitive).

    I have many thoughts for doing so, but some restrictions :

    - I don't want to cheat (no editing for youth academy for example)

    - I don't want the game to be too long (i'm ready for 20 years though)

    - I want it to be fun !

    The ideas i had :

    - Creating a "FC Romania" like in England (York, for the Jorvik period ?) but i fear Brexit will make it unplayable...

    - Playing with IF Foroyar in Denmark, which seems to be what i'm looking for, but i can't find many info on the club, i don't know at which level the play, if the will produce faroyan players, and so on...

    If you have another idea, i'll take it ! (i have played a save in faroe islands in the past, not a success, league is boring, champion's league not winnable and I haven't improve the national team in years)

    What's more, if you have any advice for database editing, since i'm not very used to do so. Especially if i need to change things that can be tricky like rules...

    I hope you'll help me !

    Just tipping in here (as I am the AR of IF Føroyar as well as HR for Faroe Islands). IF Føroyar will not generate any youth players, as they do not have a youth system in real life. They are entirely based on players moving from the Faroe Islands to Copenhagen.

    I would suggest that you either create your own club or make IF Føroyar generate youth players :)

    Does anyone know of any real-life instances of this? In my experience of a Barnet fan, I see lots of loans for contracted young players, but don't hear about trials. (Maybe I wouldn't do though).

    Have seen several Danish youngsters on trial in bigger European leagues, while still being on contract with their Danish side. The Danish club might score on the trial, if the trialist do well.

  9. Okay, I've been trying to decrypt some of this and here is my findings (some of this might be listed here already). Most of this is just in note form - ask me if I should explain anything.

    Folder structure

    • 6 folders with numbers
      • Contains subfolders a/b/c/d/e - These are different 'models' of stadiums
      • Contains subfolder no_stand - This is the "no stand" model (but ONLY CORNERS)
    • 1 no_stand folder
      • Contains .sia files for the "no stand" model for right and top sides
    • 1 renovation folder
      • Contains .sia files for the "renovation" models
    • 1 texture folder (is this new?!)
      • Contains textures for all the models

    stand_metadata.json

    Basically, this contains two lists. It seems that the first list contains elements that describes which stadiums can be used in which regions.

          disabled : false, | Is the model disabled?
          id : 1,				| Unique identifier
          name : "A", | Name of the model
          regions : 1, | Which regions can this appear in?
          tags : 1				| Tags

    So, that's my observations for the first list. I'm not entirely sure if I got it right. I'm sure of disabled, id and name, but they are kind of obviously.

    The second list is the one defining the stadiums and their stands. Each entry into this list is a stand (either corner, right or top). Again, I've tried to guess what each line is

         capacity_tags : 0,						| I don't know
          hash_key : 1424662799, | Most likely used in a hash function as a unique identifier
          id : 545,								| Unique identifier
          name : "0-10000/a/corner",			| The name/path
          steps : [ | This is a list of steps - It seems that each step is a new floor.
            {
              capacity : 107, | Capacity of this step
              hash_key : 1643777492, | Unique hash key for this step
              name : "MEDIUM_EXITS_STEPS", | Name of the step
              section : [ | Sections within the step
                {
                  capacity : 107 | Capacity of the first section
                },
                {
                  capacity : 0 | Capacity of the section
                },
                {
                  capacity : 0 | Capacity of the section
                },
                {
                  capacity : 0 | Capacity of the section
                }
              ],
              tunnel : false | Does this step contain a tunnel?
            }
          ]

    I'll continue digging, but I don't think I'll get anything more useful without being able to actually view the .sia files.
