[Poor regens]

I’m in season 35/36. There are barely any players at the standard of a new game.

 

I’ve taken over Real Madrid and they are relying on 30+ year olds. The first 11 of all the big clubs are littered with 32 year olds or older. Chelsea are playing a 4231 with their front 3 midfielders all 32. Man City’s primary threat on the right is a 34 year old and a 36 year old Haaland. Man U rely on a 35 year old LW. Everton play a 36 year old Declan Rice and a 33 year old striker. 

I appreciate the fact in real life that Man U have 36 year old Ronald’s up front, however how many other leading teams around Europe are playing 34,35,36 year olds?

it’s not that the regens arent coming through, and I’m sure some must really have a high potential; it’s more that they aren’t reaching the levels of the original generation, or are good enough to supplant them in the top teams. Maybe I won’t notice some all the original players retire, but at the moment it’s glaringly obvious that the game is lacking in top class players.

Thanks for replying. In the pregame editor, where is the option to put a name on jersey?

Hi folks, I’ve come back to the game after a afew years away - apparently I’ve more free time these days to devote to the game during isolation.

 

Essentially I’ve used the editor and created a player however rather than his name being displayed during the match, the number 21 is being shown. All other players have their names shown and it really is bugging the life out of me. Can anyone with experience tell me where in the editor I missed when creating the player?
