  1. Please report this in the bug tracker. Thanks.
  2. Unlikely. FM Touch (and FM Xbox and Console on which it is based) hasn't ever had one. This also indicates that there isn't one: https://www.footballmanager.com/compare-games
  3. It's based on FM Touch which hasn't ever had one. Not sure what the main reason is (or I forgot!) but it was shown here that there wouldn't be an editor: https://www.footballmanager.com/compare-games
  4. It depends on the player's ability, if we're talking about a squad player, as per the thread title. As long as you can extract (consistent) decent performances out of the player, he has a chance to improve consistency. As Herne79 mentioned, have one or two fairly inconsistent players shouldn't be the end of the world. If you're fielding a lot of them, you could potentially have issues.
  5. It can indeed. Not by huge amounts, but it is possible to improve it.
  6. The end of a season also has more pressure attached to it as you're playing matches that can decide league placing or qualification for contental competitions. If you see nervous or anxious players in those matches, that's a sign that they're not handling it well and feeling too much pressure.
  7. This is quite likely tactical. The space available to you when facing a top team is different compared to facing a bottom team. Top teams will have been aggressive and could leave themselves open in transition. Bottom teams will have been deeper and more compact, will have more players back to be more solid defensively in transition and denying space in the final third.
  8. Currently, the best shout for me is "no pressure" because I can see my team getting nervous at the end of matches. We're a newly promoted team in the Ukrainian Premier League and (from what I see in their body language) it doesn't seem my players have high ratings for Pressure. That said, if I really do want to hold onto a lead, I don't rely on shouts, but rather tactical changes and I count making strategic subs as a tactical change.
  9. This is something that's easily said/asked. I'm not Neil and I don't work for SI, but just to give you an idea of the scale of the ME - It contains 2-3 million lines of code. That code allows it to calculate (it's a disservice to call it a giant calculator, but that's how I think of it) several decisions (I can't remember exactly how many) per second for the 22 players on the pitch and a full 90 minute match to play out and not only generate realistic scorelines, but also fairly realistic detailed stats (and it'll be different if you compare the EPL to the VNN, to other countries, IRL and FM) over that 90 mins. And trust me, SI do compare match stats (team and player stats) from multiple leagues around the world to what's generated in-game. No other football game (to my knowledge) has done that - simulate a realistic 90 mins. You don't just throw that away. Over the years, sections of the ME, both small and large were overhauled or re-written. I don't know where SI stands on this, to make it clear, but there isn't another ME that's close to it. I'm not saying it's perfect and there aren't areas that can be improved, because there certainly are, but (again, IMO) you build on something that's good - you don't get rid of it.
  10. It makes sense to assume the better youngsters would have the higher potential. Scouts IRL and in FM do that as well. It's difficult to spot high potential players with lower current abilities. I think it was a good move to include "promising" players along with "wonderkid" players.
  11. Age, CA for his age and reputation, in the case of the Wonderkid label. Can't remember what exactly the numbers should be to trigger the description, but I did quick tests and PA wasn't a factor. It still listed the player as a Wonderkid even with his PA being 1 point above his CA. That said, it's not a bad way to find talented youngsters. The problem is that with the reputation already, he's already quite well known, so might not be cheap!
  12. I don't know what the penalties would be, but there's a dedicated area of the forum for player suggestions and team discussion. Have a look here: https://community.sigames.com/forums/forum/22-good-player-team-guide/
  13. Another example of something that should be reported in the bug tracker.
  14. Please report these issues in the bug tracker, as you have examples.
  15. I value attributes far more, because of the fact that he influences the rare freak newgen coming through. I can improve an average or decent personality. I cannot increase a newgen's potential later! Obviously though, I don't hire HoYD's with bad personalities.
  16. Hopefully that helps. I'm sure there are more posts, but I couldn't find them when I did a quick search.
  17. It's best to ask editor questions in the editor's section: https://community.sigames.com/forums/forum/26-editors-hideaway/
  18. Something like this would be worth reporting in the bug tracker. If you can attach the PKM (the saved match), SI would be able to have a look at the coding underneath to check what's going on. https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2023-bugs-tracker/753_match-engine-ai-and-tactics/
  19. How much playing time has he actually had? In other words, how many matches has he missed? Does he play full matches or do you sub him off early a lot? He'd probably need to start around 60-70% of matches as a regular starter
  20. In the post you quoted - I stated it is RARE for u18 players to agree to terms. I never said impossible. As for the examples: Valverde - 7 years ago. Vinicius - 5 years ago. Rodrygo - 6 years ago. Reineieieir - joined at 18 yo and the deal seems to have been agreed on a month before his 18th birthday. This is also an example from 2 years ago. Endrick is the only recent example, so again - it is RARE for this sort of deal to be made.
  21. Players need to (expect to) start based on their playing time promise, so it's impossible to say whether it's an actual bug or not without it. On the other hand, if you wish to report a bug, please do so within the bug tracker but provide evidence (PKMs or saves) , in this case a save from before a complaint, that reproduces an unfair reaction to something.
