  1. Can you advise on what your game version is?
  2. That is low and lower than I would expect it to be. I assume that he generated with x amount of CA and that's what initially limited his JR, but that's a guess. For is height, he could get to 20, in theory. I'm sure you know, but just in case, it's easier to improve an attribute from 6 to 7 than from 16 to 17, as an example. It 'costs' CA too, so unless he has the potential, it might not be possible to improve more. If he does have the potential, I'd be surprised if he stays at 14 JR. It might still be early days. If this kid was 20/21, I wouldn't have as much hope, but if he is only 17, there's still time. That's average for the height, so I would imagine there's a little room for improvement, again depending on PA etc. Out of interest, do you do any Strength training as an additional focus? I've had a fair amount of success with that. It focuses on Strength and JR. As mentioned above, I've had a fair amount of success using Strength additional focus training in the past. I'm not in front of the game, so I can't give you solid examples, but it's worked for me. Because of the height JR correlation, don't expect miracles, but if you have a player on the lower end, you should be improve the JR by 1 to 4 points. That 197cm youngster especially would surprise me if he hasn't improved at all by the time he's 21/22, provided he has the potential so that he can improve his CA.
  3. It would depend on their actual JR, age, potential, club facilities, rep and height.
  4. Consistency is a hidden attribute. It doesn't necessarily indicate how well a player will perform as there are a million variables at play - his attributes, the tactic, his role, how consistent/inconsistent he is, how much better/worse he is the the rest of the players in the team and league, how consistent/inconsistent the other players in the team are etc There are also other hidden attributes like Pressure and Important Matches that can affect a player on a match day.
  5. That's linked to his Consistency hidden attribute. As you've found, it doesn't necessarily mean performances will be inconsistent.
  6. That's the fewest SoT. That's different to shots, but you do concede around 2/3rds of your shots as SoTs, judging by what you posted. Which would make your xGA pretty bad and explains the lack of clean sheets. Genuine question - are you here to moan or to move the discussion forward? You seem to post the same screenshots, showing the same issues, but you're not telling us whether you've changed anything. The tactics you've posted before, give away good chances - you've not shown that you've tried to address that issue.
  7. Okay, my top 5 performing players: I know the header issue exists and what exactly the issue is, but the truth is, as always, somewhere in between the hyperbolic statements. Those two at the top are 5'8" or shorter with a poor (as expected though) headers won percentage, yet they are 2 out of 3 in my squad (and the only outfield players) with an average rating of 7 or more.
  8. It doesn't say that though. It just indicates you aren't clearing it often. There could be many reasons for that. If you're not clearing the ball, you might be passing it around instead of clearing. That's usually a good thing, imo, since a clearance has a decent chance of seeing you lose possession.
  9. What do you need to fix? You have by far the fewest clearances in the league. That's a good thing, no?
  10. So have you done any digging into why you're only getting about a third of your shots on target? Or why you're giving away very good chances? Or maybe had a look at who your chances are falling to (possibly pointing to a player issue) and whether it was a good chance, which could indicate tactical issues? You're also still creating poor chances overall, except in the OB and OSFP matches. If you're still using the tactic you posted in T&T, it's a very risky tactic, defensively speaking.
  11. Best to ask in the general discussion for FM Mobile. This is the PC section.
  12. Your screenshot shows that you haven't clicked the box to confirm you've read and understood what's in the privacy policies. I would assume that you need to tick that box, click on the Yes/No and confirm your age before you'll be able to continue.
  13. All that points to is the changes you're making aren't great. That's not the end of the world. You can always go to the tactics forum, provide as much detail as you can and there are plenty of great users who can help advise you, based on what you've given them. I use many different tactics. At this point, and I'm in the 2030s, I have moved to different clubs (starting at the bottom) and have based the tactics on the team I have and the situation we're in. Referring to the earlier comment, I've turned around a lot of matches I was losing initially. I must concede, I have had the opposite happen too. My decisions are more often than not, good ones, but my point is, you are able to influence matches. Maybe even more than you think. The important part of this is to get out of the thought tunnel of 'it's rigged against me', but treat it as something within your control. You may not always succeed, but we're never going to be perfect. It's a process to learn to analyse matches (especially in real time) and then applying the 'correct' changes to turn things around. To tell you the truth, I am very into analysis and watching what's unfolding in real time. I don't get it right every time. That's part of the game.
  14. No issues with you save scumming. It's your game. You play it however you want to. As long as you're getting some enjoyment out of it - great. This however: The game doesn't cheat. It's the same ME for both human and AI. It CANNOT distinguish between human and AI. It's there to be a giant calculator, which is a disservice for something that's 2-3 million lines of code, but it makes it easier to understand. If the opposition has a better conversion rate than you, you can do something about it. This isn't to boast, because I'm not even the best, but it does show that I'm overachieving a bit - I was predicted to finish 5th as well. This season, I've gone with a very risky way of playing (and it shows in the xGA) but it is paying off for now: Compare your stats. I know I have taken general stats, so it will be against the best teams, but also the worst. There may be a trend. You might be underperforming against the better teams or it might be against the worst teams. Or it may be a specific player who isn't converting consistently enough. Or your tactic isn't producing chances that are good enough and/or creating chances that are blocked, which xG doesn't take into account. All I'm saying is that there isn't a magical cheat and that if you dig enough, you can find the root of the issue and that's the start toward fixing it.
  15. Yes, absolutely. "Happening for many years" ignores the point that (certainly in terms of the ME) it's an issue, gets reported (whether by SI's testers, the private alpha/beta or the general public), logged and improved. Woodwork hits could increase again as a result of a tweak elsewhere. While the outcome means that woodwork hits are higher, in all likelyhood, it's not caused be the same issue. Or it might be in a couple of cases - it is something that was fixed, but it's now an issue that's re-appeared, so needs the same process (reporting with examples, finding out what the cause it, attempt to rectify it, test it, rectify more, test more etc) so that is why it's always recommended to log an issue. The ideal is to get matches to look realistic AND the match stats to perfectly line up with real life. I doubt we'll ever get there, but we can get close. Tbh, in a lot of areas, it's very close. If something is quite off, it needs improving, that is what SI will look to do. They compare match stats across multiple countries and multiple levels (both top and lower tiers), so it's important to try and get it as accurate as possible.
  16. Yes, but again, it's never a single attribute that's being used in a situation, as I've tried to explain. Someone like Iniesta might not have the pure strength (and as said, balance plays a part too, but it's mostly strength) to hold off a defender, but his dribbling, technique and agility (where balance will also play a part) will mean he's going to be a slippery opponent. You cannot look at one attribute in isolation, but rather at how they all combine in a situation.
  17. FM Console does not have an editor, so no, it's not possible. That doesn't mean that young players won't improve - it just depends on whether they have potential to or not.
  18. It's important to keep in mind that most actions or passages of play uses several attributes. It's almost never just a single attribute for an action. It sounds like you're talking about (Ronaldo especially) of a few years ago, but specifically about Balance - it's used in a number of different actions. IMO, it's very underrated, though I might not disagree when someone tells me that I am overrating it. You're looking at situations like - - Receiving the ball and passing/shooting/crossing on the turn. Obviously, it would be in combination with strength to hold off the defender and passing/finishing or long shots/crossing. - Passing/shooting/crossing at pace and how well he'll keep his balance when doing so. - I've touched on it, but how well he can stand his ground when challenged. Strength would be the bigger factor, but Balance is also used to 'ride' the challenge or hold off a player by keeping your balance.
  19. I'm not sure, tbh. I'm just speculating. I know that what happens is that the youngster thinks he's "made it" and that's why you see the drop in his personality. I know it's linked to the contract, but not exactly sure what the specific triggers are.
  20. That's interesting. How old are these players when you offer them a contract? If it's not the size of the contract, it might be that they're signing very early on?
