I have'nt played FM24 since, like, December. Not because I think it's bad, on the contrary, but because I have'nt had the time or energy to immerse myself into a save. Now I'm thinking about picking it up again, but I've seen rumors that the game AI does'nt develope talents. At all. Can anyone confirm this is true?

I get this weird thing at my computer at work, but never at home. Most often it's in german, but I've seen chinese and spanish too. Chrome, no VPN.

I think there is way too many 90:th minute goals for my taste. I mean like in the 97:th minute of a 6 minute extra time match. Yes, the other team probably push for the victory at the end, but how come my knackered players act like they have sweataed their brains out while their knackered players can bomb up and down the pitch like there's no tomorrow?

I put the player on the transfer list and send him to rot in the U21:s as soon as the wage related "slt" comes up. The other players obviously don't get the message, but at least it feels good.

I always find it amusing when 10 journalists including BBC show up at the gates and want me to hold a press conference about the unknown 50 PA U21 squad filler I just signed.

After the latest update my assistant manager recommends Barry Bannan as captain and Barry Bannan as vice-captain.

The game seems to have a hard time remembering I want to play in windowed mode. Every now and then it starts in full screen again. It remembers all other preference settings, though.

Please make this stop: It's October 2024. I have all US players loaded. There's plenty of real life talents in the game. There's absolutely NO reason to have 15-16 year old newgens in the US U20 squad. Either give them less CA/CR or make the AI less likley to pick underage players into the roster.

So, in summary: A player signs a contract where he agrees that the club has the right to extend it by a year. Two years later the club extends the contract by a year. The players says he wants a new contract and gets one. When the new contract is signed he suddenly gets unhappy because the previous contract was extended and he wants to leave the club. Is there an example of this happening in real life?

No. I extended the contract before he wanted a new one.

How was I supposed to know he was unhappy with the contract? And why did he sign a new one just to tell me he is angry at me and wants to leave the club?

So I extended the contract of one of my strikers. A week later he came to me and wanted a new contract. Fair enough. He agreed on a deal where he got 14K a week instead of the 2.5K he had. After he signed it he was suddenly unhappy and wanted to leave the club because I extended his contract "at a time when he was seeking a new and improved deal, which I never did.. And ofcourse there's no way to discuss this with him as I would be able to do with a real player. So now he's rotting away in the U21s with 6% of the wage budget- As long as player interactions destroys saves because players revolt at nonsense and made up things, it might as well be removed from the game.

Original game mode, advanced setup, start date 1/4(2024. I have editor files, but not been editing any of these players. Edit: Seems like the height/weight is correct in the editor, while it shows up random in the game, so maybe this report should be moved unless the issue is already reported elsewhere.

Not sure I agree this is the most comprehensive and refined FM ever. It's far from the worst, but I find new weird bugs every day. Just noticed there's a difference between what the editor says about a players height/weight and what the game shows. Hope it's me missing something.

Moving away...

One more time:: How do I make the game land on the international team squad page when I click on a nationality as I could in previous versions of FM? "Preferences -> Team Screen Landing page -> Squad" works for clubs, but not for international teams. Whatever I try, the game lands on the international profile screen. Reported this as a bug for the beta, but got the answer it was working as intended and my follow up questions was ignored,

I have nine of my players - first team players - "considering their options" right now. Some of them will not exipre until after next season, though. But to be fair, at least in FM23 most of those players who considered their options signed a new contract in the end anyway.

I started a save with Chelsea in the beta. When I got the mandatory Kafka-esque "Players unhappy with club situation" I ignored them and put the ringleader on the transfer list. After that I got a "Players unhappy with club situation" literary every other day so I repeated until I had sold and replaced almost all players in the squad. When the new players also started complaining I deleted the save.

Is this game breaking nonsense still around? Why? I'm glad I'm still editing the database and not playing. Sometimes, OCD pays off.
