  1. If anyone has a similar issue again I managed to fix it by changing the start date to 22/5 instead of 30/5. I'm not sure why this makes a difference but all I can think is this date is more than a month before the season update day.
  2. I've been editing an English database to fix bugs and have added real results and a custom start date of 30/5/17 but one of my competitions isn't running with this start date. When I use the default start dates (summer 2016) the Southern League Championship Match (which is between two league winners one week after the league season ends) runs correctly on 29/4/17. However, when I use a start date of 30/5/17 it runs at the end of April 2018, a year later than it should. Any advice on what I can change to avoid this would be appreciated.
  3. Oh ok then, I was thinking I could play from July 2016 and have real results in all leagues but the one I'm playing in. In that case I'll just play without real results. Thanks for the quick reply.
  4. In previous years you could set real results in the editor and they'd occur in the game as you played through the season (although obviously not for the team you control). However, when I try to do it this year although the fixtures are correct, the results do not happen as they're programmed. Is this no longer possible or could I be doing something wrong? I can upload my file if anyone would like it (although I tested with both my file and the sortitoutsi file for England). I'm doing this to try and get real promotions/relegations so if there is an alternative way of doing that then plea
  5. All of the "ask competition" option seem to pick a random one not the largest. It looks like this isn't possible.
  6. I've done a couple of tests and when I set it to stadium 0 it picks Wembley even when I set regional boundaries so it looks like it goes on the nation only. Sadly there is no region option for competitions to allow it to get less than national.
  7. Can you clarify what 'Stadium 0' actually means then if you've used it before? That's what I'm wondering.
  8. Could someone please explain to me what Stadium 0 - Stadium 12 actually means when selecting stadiums for a fixture? I'm making a county cup and the final should always be at Hereford's ground but ideally I don't want to set it to Edgar Street so it will still be at Hereford's ground if they move to a new ground in a save. Setting it to the biggest stadium from the teams in the competition, the team in the highest league or the highest reputation will have the same effect if these are possible although I think none of these are possible.
  9. Currently it is impossible to recreate Non-League Finals Day at Wembley in Football Manager. In real life the FA Vase Final is at 12:15 and the FA Trophy final at 16:15 on the same afternoon. However, in the FM16 even if they are set to the same day in the editor the FA Vase final gets moved to a different day. Multiple matches are played on the same day in the same stadium in real life so it'd be good to see this happen in FM18.
  10. Ok, thanks for the replies all three of you. I guess I'll have to make do with it being moved to a different day (although I will suggest this as a feature for FM 18 in the relevant thread).

  13. Yesterday the Football League annouced from next season clubs will be have to name at least one club-developed player in the match-day squad. A club-developed player is defined as one who has been registered to the club for at least a year before the end of his under-19 season. How could I add this to fixture rules? The closest I can see is three years at a clubs between 0 and 21.
  14. Ah I had't thought of that work around. I'll do that, thanks
