  1. Here you go: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z0yu2qe6iownopy/preferences display sound panel.zip?dl=0
  2. It's not. I'm using a different logo pack and the same wrong logo is displayed.
  3. Update: tried an Ubuntu based distro (Ubuntu MATE) and it's working now.
  4. @KUBI This is exactly what this topic is about. Proton is part of Steam Play. Edit: the reason why it doesn't work for me might also be hardware related. I use a ****** laptop (a slightly better toaster) with an HD 4000 graphics card, which might not support all of those precious vulkan calls.
  5. Can you maybe report your details to the compatibility sheet? https://spcr.netlify.com/app/872790
  6. To those of you trying to run it on Solus: you need to disable Linux Steam Integration or else it won't start. The bad news is: when it has started, it hangs on the loading screen forever. Using WineD3D and disabling Esync as mentioned here are not working. Seems that I need to try an Ubuntu based distro, then.
  7. So, as it turns out, the unofficial compatibility list is still constantly updated by the Linux community. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DcZZQ4HL_Ol969UbXJmFG8TzOHNnHoj8Q1f8DIFe8-8/htmlview?sle=true# Currently, FM18 is listed under "New Entries" tab and is being described as "Stable" with a "slightly reduced framerate". (see line 78) This makes me very optimistic about FM19 on Linux.
  8. I was not asking for support, I was asking for an educated guess. I tried running Company of Heroes half an hour ago, which ran perfectly. Also, there are reports that loads and loads of games work flawlessly. https://www.reddit.com/r/SolusProject/comments/99ek36/steam_play_compatibility_list_sheet/ So there might be a very good chance that FM19 will run, if you ask me.
  9. So guys, today Steam released the Beta of their new version of Steam Play, which brings a modified version of WINE (called Proton) plus a new DirectX compatibility layer implemented using Vulkan. Any chance we can still play FM19 on Linux, then? https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/08/valves-steam-play-uses-vulkan-to-bring-more-windows-games-to-linux/
  10. Could be that there is much more of a visible overhaul this year, though I wouldn't say the previous versions weren't hard work.
  11. It does not explain why they carried it along for 5 years instead of stopping it after the first bad year. As Miles said, Linux sales dropped from year 1, so I would have guessed they cancel it after the second year at the latest. As @davehanson said, no business can afford supporting a product that loses money. But they did for 5 years. Well, obviously there are not.
  12. Yeah, but why carrying it with you for 5 years and not calling it an experiment after the first or second year?
  13. Yup. Bye-bye. Installing Windows, even as Dual-Boot, is not happening, folks. You lost a customer here.
