  1. With the second one, I think the referee's placement meant he thought the contact was shoulder to shoulder, which, if it were, would have been robust and a bit cynical, but still within the laws of the game. The kind of foul most don't like seeing but would be put down to clever play. Am sure that's what Hernandez was aiming for too, because he cant be stupid enough to intentionally do what he actually did. But Mount is clever enough to ensure that he just clatters into his back anyway. It was absolutely stupid from Hernandez who didn't even need to do it. Tried to go in with a "clever" play and got totally done.
  2. Yet it wasn't a clear foul. You’ll see those both given and not given every week in league football. Plus it was down in the corner of the French end. France group the other end and score, with Mbappe having an even clearer foul on him being waved on too in the build up. It's not the decision that England fans should be focusing on, it's England's inability to deal with the transition from attack to defence during that play.
  3. Yeah he did. I thought straight away that it was ridiculously harsh and unfair on both Kane & Waddle to make that kind of nonsense comment. It's why he's awful. No wonder Natalie Sawyer left him.
  4. Both he & VAR chose to ignore when Giroud got shoved over in the box off the ball too. Could easily have been given, even if it's a bit of a rarity. He allowed a robust, physical game to flow. In an alternative universe, people would be complaining that he was whistle happy and ruined the game with all the stoppages.
  5. Well that royally sucks. Having had that happen to me, I know its really not a nice feeling or a place to be in. It must be especially bad at this time of year. Don't know the specifics of your situation, but with mine, I was let go at the end of the month, with no warning, and just before the two year protections would kick in. I was effectively put on gardening leave for the following month. I then treated that month as if my full time job was to get a new job. I justvapplied for everything, chased recruiters, went to interviews and then was able to get sorted. It wasn't the nicest of feelings though for sure. But there is light on the other side.
  6. I posted this earlier. There were times when he looked like the biggest leader on the field. He's 19 years old FFS.
  7. At one point I thought @dking was going to go "Falling Down" on everybody.
  8. Thats just it. It's a debatable foul. Right in the corner, France go all the way up the other end and England dont deal with it. If Mbappe goes down in that very counter attack, there could have been a free kick and yellow card too. So many little decisions like that throughout games, uts for teams to manage and deal with.
  9. Oh they will. He'll get abuse for the colour of his skin. He'll get abuse for his activism. It won't be from decent people, but He'll get abuse.
  10. Nah, I'm going to keep discussing it all. Its been a cracking game so far.
  11. I think Kane falls into the box, rather than the challenge continuing into the box. I think Upamecano doesn't continue the challenge into the box.
  12. Because the referee didn't see it as a yellow card. I've seen them given, I've seen them not given. No issue at all for me.
  13. Yep. I like how he's performed so far. Only blowing up for anything obvious, trusting VAR to support him if there's a need to. It's how games ought to be refereed on the biggest stage. Enjoyed that as a half of football.
  14. To be fair, you've had some dislikeable teams to go with it in the past too. This lot are very different to that. But on the comms side, us Welsh and the Scots have been telling you this for years. 😉
  15. He's being provided the footage being provided by the host broadcasters. So ITV probably don't yet have that footage for him. Don't be such a melt.
