    It happened to me a couple of times - I also like long saves and after some decades you can have a lot of money. However, with me it was usually the sale of 1-2 players for really big bucks that tipped the transfer funds into negative, and the next time the board allocated the transfer budget, it was OK again. There could be a similar workaround as with funds, where the board just "invests" the money once you get over a billion. There could be a coded hard limit of 1 billion and your transfer budget doesn't increase even if you sell someone.

    In FM 2023 ManUtd had to repay approx. 140 mil € every year for a couple of seasons. But in 2029 they were debt free.

    After three league games (yes, I know it's a small sample), my league results were 4-0. 4-0 and 5-0. In every game I scored 1 goal from a penalty and 2 from corners (my set-peace coach deals with set pieces). Does anyone else have the feeling that corners are a bit overpowered? But the matches are really great to look at and the speed is really nice and smooth.

    Really agree with that... I'd understand if the player wanted to play in central midfield, but I'd use him as RB or LB. But to make such a fuss about playing in a different role in the same position is too much.

    Almost always... I like to play over several decades and I don't have as much time as I had 10 years ago.

    I just read today that in Germany the League Authority (DFL) permits maximum lenghth of contract to 5 years max, while in England there is no such limit. The main reason for the long contract is supposed to be that the clubs can spread the transfer value to duration of contract so they can fulfill the FFP goals easier. In case of Chelsea it makes sense now, but it might make them difficulties in 5-6 years.

    Try to hold on untill right before next transfer window when the board gives you the new transfer budget.

    I had this problem in previous versions where I (after a couple of dedades in) had a transfer budget of over 1 billion € and made a huge sale on top of that - then the budget went into negative and was "reset" mid season after the board adjusted it.

    I agree. In the current game, there are also dates when some countries join the EU (Serbia, Montenegro...) altough there is no set date yet.

    I rebember when there was a period a couple of years ago when Bayern usually got knocked out when they played the second leg at home. Somehow it was easier for them to defend a narrow lead in an away game then chase a narrow defeat in the home game.

    I think teams are divided into 4 groups based on their coefficient and you play 2 teams from each group. Or something like that. But a draw would be really nice - even more interesting than the one for the od model.

    I think staff limit is ridiculous. You should be given a budget and then decide as manager if you need 4 coaches or 10.

    I started with bayern and had two assistant managers... It was also possible to do that in previous versions.

    It is what it is :). It will be probably a bit confusing in the last rounds where it won't be clear who has to do what in order to progress as there will be several teams with chance to reach the places for Round of 16 or the Knockout. It was much clearer in the group phases as they are now.

    I always start my full game right after beta release. I think it was FM 2012 when the Beta save was my only save in that FM - managed over 100 seasons.
