  1. Never a likely clean sheet with Otamendi and Romero at the back, so prone to stupidity. France have been let back into this far too easily, momentum is with them now.
  2. I thought this was France v Morocco I had sat down to watch. No, it's English media and pundits talking bollocks as usual
  3. That's how to hit a penalty. No idea why players try and be cute or place the ball. Just smash it...but not like Kane
  4. Shut up...we'll get there eventually, at some point perhaps. Watching it last night, I didn't think the foul on Kane was a penalty, it happened outside the box but it was a foul. The other two were nailed on penalties, why it took VAR for the second one is beyond me. Kane shouldn't be missing that though, you can excuse it if the keeper guesses right and saves it, but to not hit the target from 12 yards is inexcusable, he bottled it under pressure sadly. I thought England were decent this tournament, but I don't think they're good enough to win it just yet. You lose Kane, there is no one coming in that you're confident fills that gap, left back is weak and centre half is pretty limited for top quality, but I think the team will grow and push on if Southgate can get away from picking those that "haven't let me down before" but are not in form or favour. A Euros final, only losing on penalties and a World Cup quarter final is not bad going for a side with Harry Maguire in it. Would love Scotland to be in that position.
  5. In the same vein I remember the first world cup where they used goalline technology and Jonathan Pearce and Martin Keown were commentating and Pearce was totally baffled by it and how a goal hasn't been given.
  6. Also the bias towards only left footed players having magical feet.
  7. Maguire throwing himself to the ground, should be ashamed of himself
  8. Stupid decision at the back for France again. Bellingham should be booked for asking for the red card, don't see how that's much different to gesturing for it.
  9. Agreed, but when he does blow the whistle, he likes to make sure everyone hears it and likes to sprint to the foul too.
  10. And the rest of them. Nothing against England as a side, they're alright for a team with Maguire and Shaw in it. If the media stopped their uneducated, unsubstantiated claims that they're the best in the world and "X years of hurt" or "heroic failure" then I'd be quite happy to root for them until they come up against Scotland.
  11. Lee Dixon is so ridiculously biased and talking nothing but nonsense, it's painful to listen to. Media like that are why other home nations want England to lose. It's not the players, it's those straw clutching, blinkered, nonsense talking mouth breathers
  12. Any sentence uttered by a commentator that contains "just about" is always wrong.
  13. A much better team without Ronaldo. You always feel that when he plays it's Cristiano + 10 others. Much more cohesive when he's sitting down somewhere else.
  14. Spain are absolutely pathetic. Not content with trying to bore the other teams into submission with their "possession for possessions sake only" approach they eventually bored themselves as well and forgot how to take a penalty. All the technical play, none of the intelligence. They'll still pump Scotland in the Euro qualification though sadly.
  15. Should have booked Kounde for time wasting after asking him to take his chain off.
  16. The look on Messi's face said it all for that miss. You can see why he usually goes it alone when he can. Disappointed that Scotland managed to only get the lesser, more injury prone of the Souttar brothers
  17. Nice to see Spain keeping at their game plan of boring the other team to sleep with meaningless possession and no end product even when it's not working at all. Got to hand it to them for sheer stubborn perseverance if nothing else.
  18. A dog turd on the 18 yard line is more imposing than Eric Garcia to be fair.
  19. Doesn't say much for Spain's central defenders that Rodri retains his place while they swap the other centre half.
